Nothing will beat the 2012 - 2016 Era of electronic dance music. The amount of hit songs artists created during that time period is amazing.
Part of that is that during that time EDM was on full hype, especially prog House which I think is one of the more popular genres to people outside of the electronic music community. But styles and trends change constantly, it's not a bad thing necessarily, otherwise it would be boring

There was something to be said when you dropped a track back in the day bro - the level of utter GARBAGE living room DJs are putting out these days just to say "I have 3 of my OWN tracks out on Beatport" is chaotic. I agree styles have changed but getting back from ultra Miami a few weeks ago, everyone's material was such regurgitated mashups house music is now essentially trap

Great festival set as always by Alesso. Also this year Alesso exceeded my expectations and surpassed Martin Garrix (for me) in terms of Stage production and Visuals.

I heard If i lose myself earlier and i was wondering whats the closing song that left if i lose myself out,and then BOOM GOOSEBUMPS tears of joy came to my eyes 54:42 hearing "Calling" lose my mind (recently close 11 years of this masterpiece released) closing the set. This song is the song that will live in eternity forever,was one of the songs that made me fell in love with EDM and progressive house music. This sub genre of edm has phased out in mainstream edm (at least in the States) but I’ll admit Alesso does a hell of a good job keeping it breathing. He’s killing it on the decks and letting his seemless mixing and tasteful mashups do the talking 🙏🏻
