Keep in mind that the main purpose of these videos is to help folks learn harmony parts to hymns and not to sound perfect. These recordings will sound a touch raw for a few reasons; I am not a trained singer, I am using very simple recording hardware, my recording 'studio' is a couple of spare mattresses set on end to eliminate unwanted sound reverberations.
If you enjoy the way that these hymns are sang and want to experience them in person, stop by just about any church of Christ and they'll likely be singing them the same way. Without instruments.
My recording process:
-Record each part on a Rode NT1-A to a Zoom H4 recorder
-Some pitch correction in Melodyne
-Mix in Mixcraft 6
-Combine audio and sheet music in Corel VideoStudio X7
-Music is typeset in Finale 2012 by me or borrowed from PDHymns.com - Hudba
You approve with your hymns that Jesus is the rock and our salvation. He is our shelter in the time of storms. Thank you for praising his name and giving us comfort and ✌
Amen! Acapella is the best way to sing hymns.
Amazing love how can it be, that thou my GOD SHOULDST DIE FOR ME??????????❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
One of my favorite Charles Wesley Hymns
One of my favorites... in some hymnals, the "chorus" repeats the last two phrases of the verse... Thus, instead of "Amazing Love! How can it be!" you have "My chains fell off; My heard was free, etc" It's a good variation.
A hymn that speak to my heart today.Praise be to God.Amen.
Now that is beautiful 😀!!!
From Church, and now am listening...
A few weeks ago my pastor asked me to put this song in our Sunday morning service. I don't know if I've heard this before or not but it's so beautiful.
We have musicians who have varying levels of musical training so we use your videos on hymns that we're singing to help some of the less formally trained musicians get spooled up during the week.
One of my favorites! I love your recordings of these hymns! It's so encouraging to me; it's better than modern music of the world today. Keep up the good work☺
We just sang this in Bible Study Fellowship last week. Well done, thank you!
I know it has been more than a year but I still enjoy listening to this beautifully-made song ✨
Haven’t heard this one in forever :) the lyrics will put a tear in your eye
Thank you what a joy and blessing you are to share this! God bless you 🙏 ❣️
Another fine example of Melismatic Singing.
N'er heard this before; gonna sing it tomorrow; that high E in the melody line is at the top of my range; another half-step up and I'd sound like a chicken in pain. - - - - Close shaves like that make me aware of Grace appearing in even the most trivial things. Thanks for being a part of this micro-miracle. Grace and Peace to y'all.
Love this song..😇
Been looking for this for a "minute" now. Thank you !
Glad you found it!
Beautiful as always!

Super!
on my top hymn list Dr. Father Doug Mcglynn sang this hymn acapella at 7am service @ Ascension Curch in Pittsburgh PA 15213. I was involved in this service circa 1999- 2001.
Fred Simpson, Pastor, First Baptist Church, Irondequoit, NY A mission favorite in 1999/ 2000. RIP or Praise in Worship !
Greetings I am originally from Irondequoit NY. I didn’t find the LORD there but I was pleased this morning to see someone from there. May the LORD bless and keep you

@@acappellahymns Keep singing your beautiful songs! You really helped me to get to know this song...there is a lot to it!
My goodness I am having a time learning the soprano to this song!
Hey! I'm a huge fan of your work, thank you so much for making these videos.
If you could do "Alas and did my saviour bleed" at some point, I think we'd all find it moving.
Have a good day
Thank you for the offer!
An oldie buy a goodie might be "Can't feel at home in this world anymore" by the Carters?
That's the one! That's brilliant that you'll re-record it!
I think I actually remember hearing that a while ago on here (it was the first time I heard it) but I forgot all about it :(
I look forward to hearing more beautiful songs with your beautiful voice :)
@@josephinesheard2846 it's back on the channel now.

Beautiful piece sir.. More grace to you. Is there a way I can get the PowerPoint sheet music of this song.. Pdhymns just have pdf and lyrics in ppt.
A capella singing in the ancient Eastern Orthodox Liturgy is balanced between male/female voice and would be diminished if only male. (vs monastic services which necessarily are single- gender voice).
The liturgies of Sts Chrysostom and Basil date from 4th century essentially unchanged.
I agree w/those who suggest female voice-- at least occaasionally.
This may be an Anglican hymn but I still love it
Like your version of this hymn. Been looking for an acapella version to add to my CZcams channel, but had not found any yet.
A Cappella Hymns the way CZcams has responded leads me to believe that since the songs are released to CZcams, I can’t monetize them, and in fact the owner gets any revenue from it. Here is what they send me each time: Hi Trail Reeves,

A Cappella Hymns they actually are the ones on all of the Dallas Christian and Ray Walker audio recordings I purchased and then illustrated.
Just came across your channel and i love these hymns. Btw i'm from the Philippines. Sorry for my ignorance, are the same person on Acapeldrige channel?
Can anyone tell me what's the meaning of different noteheads ?
Those are shaped notes.
Each shape has a relative pitch to the key signature.
The basics are: Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Ti Do.
The shapes help to learn the song easier than conventional shapes (where they all look the same)
On which app can I find your audio songs?
You can search for my name - Elliot Bowman - on pretty much any streaming app and it should be there.
wonderful music, is it possible to add the song: And I Know, Yes I know
It begins with: Come ye sinners lost and hopeless, Jesus blood can make you free...
Hello Mr. Fred. I'm not sure I know that one. When you get a chance, look to see who wrote it and when for me. Thanks!
A Cappella Hymns Yes, I Know! (A♭) | Anna W. Waterman, 1920
Thank you for responding so readily.
No problem, brother. I'll add it to the list now. And thanks for getting back to me!

I think you should get a woman to sing with you
A Cappella Hymns Does your wife sing at all?
A Cappella Hymns , is her range similar to your cousin's? Your wife doesn't think she's a good singer or just doesn't like to sing? Too bad she can't be convinced because it would be easier to record a woman singing alto if it were your wife instead of your cousin, who lives further away from you. No women in your church who might like to be pulled in on occasion to sing with you? Not that you can't sing all 4 parts by yourself, of course, because that's what you almost always do. It's a little easier to pick out the alto if it's a female voice, though. At least it is for those of us who don't know much about music. Like me. 😜
We practice this song and me singing Bass. This song means the amazing love of God gave His son Jesus to the mankind.
