Big Ron said Bryan Robson was pure gold, so was Steve Bruce's head! Usually reliable from the spot but his heading, I wish he could teach Lindelof and Slabhead how to do that! Great leader too, worthy captain!
I remember him playing. He was top. Was surprised to hear when I got older that he was English. Why didn’t they just pick him to play alongside pallister? Baring in mind he was the leader and Parker was England’s right back too.
@joecurran2811 It was wrong Kane was on corners but when Wenger allowed ThierryHenry to take corners people didn't give it the same criticism. Is thus because they accepted ThierryHenry was shit at headers?
It goes to show how the quality of player has dropped over time which I already knew when thinking about the amount of 2 footed players there were in the 90's for example for many different clubs & nations compared to the ratio of them in starting teams now. I'm not saying that was a skill of SteveBruce's but he had his own skills which made him 1of the best CB's who still couldn't get in the England team and Pallister wasn't ever an England defender in a major tournament either despite both being part of a great defence in the most successful team. Obviously it's also a common argument that there were so many strikers then who missed out on getting into England teams or got way fewer caps than they deserved that would've walked straight in years later which is more proof the quality has dropped it's not just nostalgia they don't have to do as much to earn big money now and they don't have to have as good a season's. Multiple players scoring 30+ and either not in the Euro96 team or not getting any starts & in some cases any minutes at all. Also some of the ManUtd players who didn't get into the Euro96 team after winning the PL & FAcup double they only took the Neville Brothers and even 1of those never played all tournament but the likes of Beckham, Butt & Scholes had never been given a cap at that point after an achievement like that, the latter 2 it wouldn't be until 1997 they got their first cap.
@@paulwilliams9278 Look at the goals, clean sheets and appearances he made for one a club that didn't win a top flight title for 26 years and then captained them to the first ever premier league title? Come back when you have done your research stupid little man
@@L1am21 great player, shit manager. If you know about circumstance with what Rafa had to keep Newcastle up as opposed to Bruce, you'd have every right to get pissed off. Remember when your lot wanted Olé out? Now look what he's doing with your club, lol.
Crazy how he scored 19 goals in a single season.. That's better than most strikers
Yep should’ve been 20 if Hughes didn’t nab that cup winners cup final goal 😂
better than Joelinton
It's hard to believe this man was a centre back. Wow
Brave as they come, Steve Bruce. No wonder his head looks like a cabbage now 😂
That is an insult to cabbages
Hasn’t aged well, have to admit
The lack of Stewart Gardner on a United compilation is like music to my ears. Great upload!
Who is here after he draw with liverpool ,good for man united
Phenomenal. No just a penalty taker, had a serious killer instinct in the box
If steve bruce is playing now he would be consider man united Sergio ramos

Things really make sense when it comes to the England National Team. Roy had Kane taking corners 😂

I was there for most of them. Proper goal scoring defender.
9:33 the power he gets in that header wow
The state of some of those pitches back then 😱
...but was never capped for England - Why oh Why!

Hi Bjarni, good content. How were you able to get the permissions for the videos?
The celebrations of old player is so funny.. just take hand up,😀
He is good wow
Mental how Bruce never got a England call up
Bruce is much better than McGuire
Speaking of better, your spelling could be 👍
Slim Steve 😳
if only Maguire could be like this
the funny thing is Bruce never call up by England.
Number 38 and 48 are great
I can't remember him playing for England???
With his early goals/assists am I right I’m assuming he was a midfielder?
Nope. Just a beast from pens and corners.
Concrete Defense Center with Gary Palister
And he never played for England how is that possible
Because he was looked upon as a fat and non athletick player by the National team coach. Stupid as it sounds, its true...
Because he was crap
Paul Williams u dumb?

To put McGuire and Bruce in the same sentence is an insult to Bruce and his family
I thought Bruce was shit in every thing in soccer not going to lye from the banter of Newcastle fans
Who gives fuck about Newcastle Steve lifted more league titles as captain than there whole stinking club.
