it might be a debug tile, but there's a guarenteed bolt cutters in a patch of green grass to the left of the train (after the wood cabin, until you can almost no longer go left). You have to press enter 3 times and then there's a text box saying "what's this?"
About the TV room, I think its highly likely that its the source of the Doppelgangers you encounter during the game. I say this because the characters in your party that seem to get drawn towards the TV are Karin, Oliva, and Levi, who mention how its almost like a mirror. Compare that to the Dopplegangers we encounter, who likewise Mimic Karin, Olivia, Levi, and Tanaka. We cant fight Karin's, but she does appear on a TV doing a news report that Karin insists she never did. 'But what about Tanaka?' Well, while we cant have him in the party, we do find a crossword puzzle in the house. Filled out by none other than Tanaka himself, meaning he too did visit the house, and presumably encountered the TV too.
3:47, actually, you can save both Most know you can just simply play as Abella, or recruit Abella and get ending A on day 1 morning (Henryk only moonscorches the next unit of time after he disappears, not immediately) This does normally mean you have to let August die instead, as he’ll confront and get killed by Kaiser on specifically day 1, with the exception of playing as O’saa due to a scripting oversight overwriting August’s death scene with Nas’hrah’s conversation with Kaiser. This meant people thought you could only keep 13/14 alive (with the player character becoming part of logic) with exclusively O’saa or Abella, but it’s actually possible for everyone. The trigger for Abella’s moonscorch is not just saving Henryk, but also entering through the main entrance of tunnel 7 Going through a golden gate to get to the bottom floor or going through the other side through the other tunnels/sewer routes doesn’t trigger Abella’s moonscorch Meaning you can get ending A with everyone besides yourself surviving with every character as long as you deal with their sidequests through day 1 and avoid their death flags till day 2 morning, where you face Kaiser (where August doesn’t show up) and Logic
5:03 About the "Occult Grimoires" section: Just would like to point out the same thing can be said about the "Combat Manual" book, you can get one guaranteed on chair in the train, along with the "Prehevil map" item. I had the unfortunate misfortune to discover this information the hard way.
I got 2 bolt cutters across my first 5 runs. It made future playthroughs very hard for me, because I was expecting to get bolt cutters fairly regularly.
Same thing happened to me in my first run, got 3 bolt cutters in total, so I thought they were common and in the next run I took and wasted a long while before deciding to fight the mayor just to find out that's what I had to do to get the key.
There's a secret passage in Deeper Woods by the fecal hounds that will only be accessible if you have the awareness perk from Olivia. You'll end up right outside of Tunnel 7. Thing is, even with the perk you can't go back to the woods by the same way, making this secret spot absolutely useless. Maybe it's bugged or something.
I mentioned that weird shortcut in a previous secrets video! It is a really odd one, especially since you can just drop the ladder to get around anyway
I got bolt cutters on my very first playthrough not realizing how rare that is lol. I went to the gate and thought "Why would you ever bother getting those keys?"
Honestly, i recently realized that getting the keys (if u managed to stun needles ina bear trap with abellas trap craft skill) is much easier than i thought
If you go to the restaurant you can send Henryk there to the kitchen (not the Prehevil Bop Club) if you talk with him when he is cooking next to the train. About the TV thing I think is similar to the clothing store with the weird monster or the woman singing in the forest to the moon. It doesn't have specific playable purpose but to add some unsolved misteries and leaving what it means to your own interpretation.
The woman singing to the moon in the Deep Forest might be a Rher worshipper/cultist. One reason being she is seen only at night and Rher's followers believe he has special powers and abilities that uncover at night. The other reason being the Termina festival is when his followers are the most active, and participating in their own ways; usually to meddle or cause strife to mankind.
I knew about everything except the bolt cutters. Also I wish that the talk option was more useful in the game, The first character I picked was karen and I was disappointed To discover it didn't work on most enemies
Yeah I wish it was more useful. With a bunch of moonscorched fights you can get an extra turn where they don't do anything, so having Diplomacy is really nice, but Persuasion usually isn't
Persuasion is insanely useful because you can use it to cheese the bobbys. (It will make them pause and stop moving their heads). I honestly find this super useful as it is hard to kill Bobbies without taking damage (or losing resources) if you don''t have a full party@@MautheDoog
First time i played termina i started My first playtrough with osaa and after an hour of playing the intro and dying multiple times i got to play and in my third barrel i got the Bolt cuters, i opened the gate and died like an idiot because i didnt know how to save and how lucky i was, truly a fear and hunger moment
Death masks can actually spawn in Old town, despite how blatantly overpowered they are at that stage of the game - so always keep an eye on those pesky coffins!
I knew the Henryk, Vile, and Bolt Cutter things (I actually did get the bolt cutters before the city once) but the rest was all new to me. Love videos like this.
A TV room if i remember correctly used to be a thing people had in the past as it was quite a novelty to own a TV. No idea why this was a thing but I have heard of TV rooms in the past.
I do know sometimes the bolt cutters spawn in the woodsman’s basement, I don’t know how high it’s guaranteed but I do know it’s obtainable in there! If you ever want to try in any of your play throughs :) Lovely video also always man! ❤
I knew all of them, but mostly were by following a Marina walkthrough guide. The Vile Fight is the main reason I always save a single lucky coin in the early game.
I was really hoping you figured out the TV room :D also wow I didn't know RNG was that bad with the bolt cutters. I think I got them in like my first few runs, and multiple times after too. I must've been super lucky xD
It's kinda crazy but I got the bolt cutters on my first playthrough and got into the city early, I didn't even know the place for either keys needed and just strolled in thinking that was normal.
I would say it's better to just ignore those glass shards because they are plentiful, and you mostly use them on a few speccific enemies anyway because most of them are either immune or it's not worth using it because it applies at the END of a turn .
A couple of times, I found Bolt Cutters inside the train near the Perfection Ritual Circle (in the suitcase?) as a shiny spot (exactly like how Lucky Coins look on the map). I think I found them there at either Day 1 Evening or Day 2 Evening. Not sure if there's any special prerequisite or if it's RNG, but they were there in two separate save files.
that seems to be a safeguard if you kill the Gentleman but don't pick up the key from him. It was probably intended to be if you kill Henryk instead, because he doesn't drop ANY keys at all and you can get softlocked in that situation, but the code only works for the Gentleman
Has anyone ever tried bringing the dudes at the dinner table to the t.v. room? Or does the fight start once you interrupt dinner? Maybe they have a response to the t.v. room?
Funny thing about the bolt cutters, on my first playthrough I went through all the trouble of getting the gate keys only to get the message saying I could have used bolt cutters lol. Had no idea I even picked it up or what it did at the time
With the bolt cutters, I think there's a failsafe built in. In a playthrough, I believe I went to save henryk but couldnt because i didnt have a way to get into the manors basement, then went to the bunker. Because of that, I only got one key. When I walked by the gate later after this there were bolt cutters sitting next to the gate so I could open the gate since I couldn't get the other key. I recall not seeing them prior to that. Idk if I was just very lucky or if I stumbled upon a failsafe to get into the city because I messed everything else up since I couldn't get the sewer key and didn't get vinuska's book to get in through the woods. I haven't heard anyone mention that way to get in
Next to the gate you say? I know there's another failsafe in the train (that doesn't work if you kill Henryk), but I haven't heard of one next to the gate...
Funny, i knew about the bolt cutters being able to break open the main gate because once i went into the church by using the sewers. Then, sometime later i go to the gate forgetting that i didnt have both keys and was surprised to find the option to use bolt cutters. In the very next playthrough, i managed to find bolt cutters in one of the underground tunnels near the start. I didnt even know you could find them outside of the church!
Don't you need the bolt cutters to reach the church basement before you can get to the north side of town? You could get through by brute forcing the gate in the city, I guess, but you would miss out on that slick Sergal spear.
@ahcangela8549 you can reach the church by going thru the sewers and defeating moonless. The elevator also takes you to the moonscorched village. I believe what i did was go through the church just to grab some items and then headed back to the town's ritual circle to save.
Another easy way to get to the city, is with a small key, you just go to tunnel 6, and open a door to the sewers. It's very useful to get to the cityin the morning of day 1
The key one is crazy to me because on my first two playthroughs I got boltcutters both times and was so confused in the games difficulty over all. I've paid for it though now my luck overall sucks lmaoo
Has anyone tried dragging a mob into the TV room to fight and check the background? Im sure someone has tried to get electricty into the TV room somehow. Obviously any electric items are possible, but shock spells may require dragging an enemy into the room and hitting them with it.
I was very surprised that the 100% chance bolt cutters, which also includes a rifle and 10 ammo, that's on the second screen of the game going west, for touching grass three times near the herb at the west wasn't mentioned.
I've watched a lot of videos and articles, and all of them say, "If you talk to Abella(at the tunnel)/Henryk(in the Mayor's house), the other will immediately become Moonscorched". But when I tried C-ending, in one of my trials, I found a guaranteed way how to beat both of them before they become Moonscorched. All you need to do is defeat Abella before she goes down the tunnel 7. 1. Talk to her at the Train to introduce herself. 2. Trigger cutscene at bunker door, in dialog choose "Attack her". 3. So when you come in Mayor's house (after beat Abella just RUN: DON't sleep or use F&H idol / Yellow book) Henryk will still be human. !BUT! In this scenario LionKey will be unable. So good luck getting to the city ;)
Damn it I didn't know of the free occult grimroes and somewhat didn't realize the people you can make passive could give items just you can make them passive

You can break the Lion and Eagle chain lock with shooting tho
If I'm not mistaken you can also just shotgun the eagle/lion lock off if you don't mind spending the shell on it.
wth it actually does
not even raccoon knew this, absolutely wild
what the hell what is this eldritch knowledge
How would you get a shotgun before the city?
@@orangesilver8getting lucky with chests. Well, double lucky because you also need ammo.
