Not sure what you mean when you say this is different than suicide squad? Both are always online. Both have battle passes that once purchased, never expire, both have free content updates with cosmetic only purchases. So I’m confused when you say this is different as a live service game than SSKTJL.

To be fair, the game’s friend system is broken still, and I have to open up my lobbies, so my friends could join, but that sometimes leads to randoms joining the game since it’s public. I usually ask in VOIP or text chat for them to leave, but at times they don’t listen, so I need to free up slots for my buddies. I did feel incredibly sorry every time it happened, but it’s on the devs to fix that issue
Half a dozen chargers, 3 bile titans, and that's it? Pathetic! Recoilless fireteam (it's so damn hard to say "help me with reloading", is it) can obliterate all these in a matter of 6 to 9 seconds, at the absolute most. With the latest patch, even less, so long as the gunner can somewhat accurately aim.
Double stratagem cooldown and half the reinforcement budget
I’m a new player, just started last week. Got kicked early on a couple of times which really sucked but then last night a more experienced Diver joined me on my otherwise solo mission. He guided me through it, let me use his jump pack, his guard dog and led me on my first ever mission against the bots (which I’d previously been too afraid to try). He had to leave after that but he sent me a friend request & my faith in the community was restored.❤
As a level 50 Admiral with max medals and max super credits, my new mission is to guide and help lower level players.
@@Cold_Zero_The_WiseGodspeed brother, truthfully it’s the most practical option to making more impact in the war, one high level diver can easily complete missions but it’s still one player, if you train multiple new players to be good, you have more people to make more impact and therefore complete major orders better and faster, a win win for everyone.
yeah recently there’s been a lot of toxic hosts and people, but a lot of community is just like this example. We just need to push through these difficulties and enjoy the game.

I have 119 hours in game. I never kick anybody. I carry them help them understand the game. If you have a 100 plus hours in game and can't carry someone maybe you should play a lower level.
the game balance is broken, so not much to understand, max difficulty is a boring kind of hardcore challenge based on broken balancing to make it hard, rather then fun hard, most unlocks are downgrades and not fun to use since they dont make much sense vs reality or likewise helldiver logic when used at higher difficulty and lower difficulties are just running sims once you figure things out.

@@DreadedLad88I wasn't even going to reply to them it wasn't worth the time.
@@DreadedLad88honestly he is kind of right because they nerf guns and stratagems and say they nerf mobs, they said that chargers and biles don’t spawn often but that’s not the case… people are not complaining for no reason. Some are unjust but some guns do feel very weak and guns like the autocannon can’t even one hit chargers but it can do objectives from across the map, literally makes 0 sense. They keep nerfing things when they should just add more things in. I feel like this game is trying to be like a roguelike but the enemies get power ups and the map changes like random fire tornados or meteors rather than you getting stronger and feeling like a true soldier, I don’t even use the rail gun and I do not like the nerf because why lessen the potential of a weapon when there’s tons of enemies on the screen… when weapons can’t do the dmg and stratagems go on cooldown, do you expect people to smile and be happy when they fail their extract? Lessening build diversity is bad for a game that has so many players, builds should not be limited when enemies progressively get stronger… soon everyone will be using the same thing… what’s the point of using certain things if others are point blank way better. One more thing, I feel like there needs to be a minimum level requirement and room descriptions, for example like “lvl 20+ super sample farm” etc I also find that trying to help low level players is nearly impossible, they do not want medals or super credits, you can lead a horse to water but can’t force it to drink…

@@lyonidus3073 this is false, if the host disconnects you get sent back to the ship with the message "The host has left the game"
it's still especially bad if you have an AMD 7000 series GPU. In order to make the game remotely playable, you have to set it on very specific in game settings, UNDERCLOCK your system, and in some cases, even change settings in the BIOS. Yes but it is still a valid argument, I live the game but it is near impossible to completely take out a horde of bile titans, chargers and stalkers hunting me down because if I slow down for half a second to shoot or throw a grenade, half my hp is gone.
Also apparently the “friends only” option doesn’t always work and people can still join you, that might be some reason for the kicking as well
I was going to say the same. I've been on friends only and had people I don't know join in. I never kicked them though.
there's a bug with adding friends and some of my friends aren't in my friends list so I have to set it to public mode to have them join
sometimes i forget to turn it off, I never kick people off mid mission though not even in between operations

The problem is they don't turn on private game mode. Fiends only does NOTHING but only allow friends to see your mission with a join option. However...if you throw an SOS everyone can join. Also quick joins can still end up in your game if you have died at all in your mission.

Review 4 is so relatable because if you are low level, they will think you will be a liability without even giving you a chance and will kick you.
Every time I see a low level in my lobby, I never leave their side until I see they can clearly hold their own.
That game gets chaotic, having someone who can weave through numbers and kill armor helps them out like you wouldn't believe. Low level doesn't mean bad.
The kicks and disconnects the first couple days I played the game really pushed me to almost quit. Spending so much time to just play and try it out. I tried to refund but I was at 5.6 hrs and Steam said pound sand (prolly played 4-5 missions total). Kept playing and it's gotten better
After the patch lvl 15 and below should stay out of 7-9, especially if they aren’t gonna communicate. I had quite A lot of bad experiences with super low levels draining reinforcements and throwing stratagems on objectives with teammates on them already.
I played mostly solo until I mastered Easy, so that I could actually be an asset when joining higher level games.
I dont know when your problem is. When you are constantly getting kicked then Host the lobby. Ez solve
Let me put this in the context of the nerf that so many reviews were/are upset about: Anyone who is upset about not being able to reliably deal with multiple giant insects with heavy armor plating and damage resistance, when a Helldiver is a regular person, is missing the point. This is not a game about mowing down everything on the planet. This is a game about taking tactically beneficial objectives and culling the oppositions effective numbers. You are just a normal human who is every bit as squishy as a terminid scavenger, and you need to understand that in order to play Helldivers (either one) effectively. Now, in the present, with all of the additional firepower we have, it's hardly an issue at all if something is nerfed, and I don't think any of the weapons are really essential to succeed in higher difficulties. Players can and will make the most out of their arsenal because we've learned how to use tactics against our despicable, but incredibly intelligent, enemies. If a gamer wants a power trip without vulnerability, they're going to want to stay away from Helldivers. The warfare is just too serious to go in with a complex and expect to survive.
Preach
I agree with this. When he was taking about arrow head needing to be careful so the game isn’t too hardcore defeats the purpose of having 9 difficulties. People were still clearing helldive after the changes so it didn’t do that much beside make it more skillful to play.
If any of the weapons are essential, then should all player only use the standard rifle in helldive difficult without stratagems
@@oniceguard9205 That’s hardly the point of the argument, and implying that it is makes you sound either ignorant or just antagonistic. Because there’s no single loadout that divers need to succeed, they can decide for themselves which stratagems to take, and which rifle works best in their hands. Arrowhead has balanced the game in such a way that the meta-chasers that advocate for kicking players who play off-meta don’t have a leg to stand on.
@@seyj7457 I have found uses for nearly every rifle and support weapon in higher difficulties. People are just salty they cannot handle everything alone. 6+ is not supposed to be soloable. You are meant to be required to have help. One or two of the group should focus on dealing with the masses, these players will have virtually nothing for dealing with the heavies other than dodging and hitting their very specific weak points. The other two should be focused on the heavies and need the other two for dealing with swarms.
Actual team play is gorgeous. Problem is we are in an era where everyone wants to solo everything and views the word 'team' as a bad word or something.
There were 300k+ steam players yesterday when I was playing. I'm not to concerned about those 7 bad reviews.

Holy shit! That is such a catty response!😂
the Anti Cheat thing is not really about access of your computer, but how that particular company was caught selling users data in the past, the combination of the two makes people think twice.
Yea but anyone who worked in I.T. on the admin side or server side. Will tell you that almost all your data is already sold and most are unaware of how deep it actually goes. Like if you use gmail. And in some areas the people we actually looked for and investigated was only people using VPNS thinking they can actually hide. For we actually track packets and work with DMZ zones that capture everything your really doing
no its absolutely about the kernel level access. if you know anything about pc security or hacking you should know that this is a carte blanche to mess with your system. a single hacker that manages to hack into this anticheat software has full access to millions of PCs on top of this the anticheat is NOT preventing cheats. on day 1 people were using super basic cheat engine ram manipulation to get unlimited ressources , invulnerability AND call in as of yet unreleased stratagems and the anticheat did jack shit to prevent this.
I disagree. I think players on PC are upset about this anti. Cheat solution because it's harder for them to cheat. Opposed to using something stupid like easy anti-cheat.
@davidquee8728 yeah, maybe if it worked, but it is pretty bad at its job, does very little to detect 3rd party software.
@@davidquee8728 it's not hard at all to cheat in HD2 the kernel level anticheat is ineffective. I personally watched people call in mechs 3 weeks before release , saw multiple videos of people calling down as of yet unreleased stratagems and gather 999 samples in a single mission all of those cheats could be done with cheat engine despite the kernel level anticheat being in the game.
The flamethrower was fun for me to use against chargers before the patch. Now, AFTER they made my flamethrower 50% more face melty? it's bloody devastating against them, you can BBQ them in half a tank of fuel. It's quite efficient.

@@general330I think the developers know how crazy it is now considering they choose to make this massive damage boost but the down side is that it is also more easier to kill other players and the user themselves if they do not manage their flame targeting properly.

Review 1: “there’s a lot of running between missions with nothing happening!” The 47 bug patrol squadrons with chargers on speed dial between each location:
You don't get Chargers on easy difficulties and Medium.
Bottomline is its ok for people to hate a game, not everyone is gonna love every game . And thats ok
The enemy spawn rate is insane rn. On dif 4 I'm got swarmed so much that I was buried under a pile of bodies so masive that calling an air strike right on my head wouldn't even DMG me...
Sounds like fun! What’s the problem?
You're getting swarmed on difficulty 4 because you aren't killing the bug squads fast enough before they can call in a breach. Difficulty 4 should be easy and you'll be walking around an empty map asking where all the bugs went.
@restfulori212 throw grenades away from you to get patrols to divert away from you my guy any "difficulty" complaints are purely a skill issue
@Dantheman765 Only problem is that we couldn't feel the warmth of democracy air strike from beneath the pile of bodies!
Yall ain't see nothing
I started playing Helldivers 2 a few days ago, and I wasn’t kicked at all until level 9. Strange to hear other people being kicked constantly
My same thought, I only got kicked a few times, and 90% of these were from people who forgot to make their game private and wanted to play alone. Don’t know who and why so many people are getting kicked like this.
Joined a new squad. Level 2 was there. Said, "I'm super new to this, and my guy is so slow."
I asked him if he knew to sprint using Shift. He literally said, "I promise I'm not dumb."😅
Gave him a Guard Dog, reminded him it stays over his right shoulder and told him to enjoy it when it kills him the first time.
Cooked off one of my own grenades so he could use the Dominator.
Helluva good time. He leveled up and got the Diligence.
God speed, Helldiver. Pass on what you've learned.
I think the biggest problem is that you HAVE to take higher difficulty missions to progress. If I want to have fun, I drop into a 4 or 5. If I want to progress my character I have to take a 7+
And this is what i dont like about this game, 7+ is frustrating you keep dying and running and most of the time you cant find the stuff you need to progress. So you wasted 40 minutes and gained 0 progress, that is not fun.
I feel like they should atleast give some small amount of resource to progress by successfully complete the mission and the resource found on the map are extra but allow you to gain far more if put effort into finding them.
It is difficult to choose between resource farming or get the objective done in higher difficulty when it is so easy to lose all of it if suddenly like 4 or more chargers and multiple titans decide to swarm your location.
They did give a little... you think you should get free super samples?
@@CUBEoneVXdrop with a team of 4 or maybe just maybe use actual human strategy, helldiver difficulty is challenging if you don't know what you are doing.
@@bartell20j What he's trying say is that the higher difficulties don't feel fun anymore. Before they were hard, but manageable, so still were able to have fun. But now with the nerfs of the only viable anti-armor weapon and the increase of heavily armored enemies like the charger or bile titans, it's just a slog the whole way through.
a comment on the "sloppy gun play", its intentional. it doesnt matter how strong you are or how good you are with a gun in a rifle caliber. each shot will bounce your point of aim, and you will sway while walking and shooting. this isnt cod or battlefield where every soldier is a super soldier in there own right and always has perfect aim, helldivers are just normal humans with high patriotism levels
i love when devs understand how moving and shooting works
I got to play multiplayer for the first time yesterday and got to grind for 5 hours with my best friend from the Army. We have known each other for almost 20 years now and used to grind like that back in the 360 days. After he left I decided to give insanity mode a shot. First mission I just about failed and had thrown an SOS out. Two level 50 players joined. They didn't say anything and hust commenced to wiping bots off the face of the planet. They stuck with me until the final mission which was a bot swarm. Me being low level tried my best to help but died a lot. We ended destroying all the bots but me and another dude were dead, so the other guy waited outside of the Pelican until the reinforcement cooled, spawned the other dude, and then they both waited for the cool down to spawn me. Then we egressed. So far my experience with multiplayer has been very positive.
This is the typical experience in all honesty. I am not even 50 yet and I play exclusively by answering SOS beacons.
I figure the reason why aiming gets tighter while ADS is because you’re holding the gun closer to your body giving you better control.
This is exactly why.
At some point, you'd be glad with nothing happening between mission objectives in game.
Played a handful of games last night and one of the groups I ran with had a dude with stealth armor that just said we need to run the whole time cause you can't really fight against the hordes right now and he was right the changes to spawn rates with weapon weakness is insane currently
For me the spawn rates is the real issue, I barely even noticed the nerfs but that's probably because I'm weird and was using the breaker on single shot mode, always used the rail gun in unsafe mode too.
@552jacki3 I agree it's the sheer number not necessarily the weapons although the heavy guys were a much bigger issue now cause you had so many other things coming at you so you couldn't focus them down quickly like before
@@552jacki3 Same, the only difference when play the breaker on single shot is it has three less shots, and is slightly slower in reload, aiming etc, but not enough to matter if your a good shot anyway.
And I always used the Railgun on unsafe anyway as well.
Honestly, to me it feels less of a mean spirited nerf, and more of bringing the two clearly superior weapons closer to the others, and everybody is salty over their favorite toys betting nerfed slightly. They have become a crutch essentially.
Yeah the spawns are brutal, at least on bots I switched to Recoilless to snipe out drop ships to alleviate that.
I don’t think it was a meanspirited nerf, I think they were trying to address the issue where people that would kick others who did not stick to the “Meta” gear. They wanted to reduce the viability of soloing the hardest difficulties and make it so the hardest difficulties require teamwork.
I believe they have recently released a statement acknowledging the enemy updates will be addressed.
Dude i cant tell you how much i love the gunplay in this game. The "floatyness" is honestly more realistic than most shooters and it takes rng "damage cones" out of the equasion. Its realistic because the bullet goes pretty much straight out of the barrel no matter qhere the barrel is facing, so it forces you to develop a new skill to really get good at using it to its fullest potential. I honestly love the big heavy slow guns because when you get really used to swinging them around you can actually move pretty quick with them and you start to feel op and it just... feeeeeels good.
Pretty much. Everyone is too used to the very fake way most games have guns work. The floatiness is very realistic. Weapons don't snap to targets. There is movement between locations.
I like it, too. Feels like your weapons have actual weight to them
The high difficulty of 8-9 means the game has a better replay value and a higher skill ceiling. If the game is balanced so that 9 is doable for the average player then it'll be boring for everyone who's a bit better than that.
What they need to add is buffs to helmets like night/heat vision modes, Enemy health bar info
We need more support strats now like a dropship comes down for 30 seconds abd uses its front cannon as fire support.

I've played with so many good 1-5 level players, compared to the amount of sub par level 35+ level players. Skill and willingness to work as a team transcends levels. Don't forget that a lot of "high level" players were exploiting the XP farm and didn't spend much time learning enemy weak points, kiting enemy waves, or how to efficiently work objectives. Can't tell you the amount of times I see higher levels try to bring in all these high cost stratagems only to realize its ineffective to the mission at hand. An example was a Blitz mission and a level 45 brought in 3 Sentry's.
Absolutely correct, was in an extreme lobby four days ago (when things were working smooth) had a lvl 29 - 26 and a 40. I felt like level 5s would have been much better lol.
I don’t get how people can just mindlessly grind that mission for hours on end. But on another note the devs seriously need to make you get extra war bonds from completing the extra tactical objectives maybe 1/objective.
Hey! Sentries are a Diver's 2nd best friend (the first being another diver and their delicious, delicious stratagems) and are incredibly useful when playing solo (defending hardpoints like the extraction zone, attacking outposts and mortaring clusters, dropping behind you to slow down and deal with a swarm). But yes, in a blitz mission there's definitely better options than three sentries.

Complaining that a game is live service is a valid complaint. Live service games are on a timer just ticking down until the day you are no longer able to play it anymore. A 4 player co-op game like this should have an offline and peer to peer mode. The only problem would be that when playing offline, you won't be able to contribute to the galactic war when not connected to the main servers, but that's fine. If you were without internet, then you couldn't contribute to liberating or defending planets anyway, and when the servers inevitably go down in the future, there will be no galactic war to contribute to anyway.
The game is actually hard now on its hard modes and everyone wants to poo poo it. I think they intend for Helldive and SM to be exclusively for communicating groups of 4 and I'm fine with that.
Wait till they drop the harder difficulties
The only time I’ve ever kicked someone from my games is when I need room for a friend coming to join us and it was specifically before we started a mission
I've actually been on the receiving end of that.
I joined a really cool random 3 squad and played 3 or 4 missions with them, and as we were gonna start the next one, the dude told me, "Hey man. Sorry to be like this, but we have another guy joining us. It's been nice playing with you but we just want to go with our friend"
As long as you stay respectful, I don't think anyone would be upset.
@@GregAndrews03 I got kicked for being low level and was later messaged on STEAM that low level players like me are the reason why gatekeeping should be a thing. Honestly, I'm lamenting spending money on the game now. Playing solo isn't bad, but if I wanted to play solo, then I'd have just waited to buy the next big singleplayer game to release, skipping Helldivers 2. I find it hard to even launch Helldivers 2 now since it's either I get kicked or I play some basic mission on a low difficulty.
@@MLPIceberg That sucks. Going out of their way to berate you on Steam is crazy. But there are decent players out there. I have been fortunate enough to have very few toxic experiences in my 130ish hours, and for the most part I get silent teams that kind of work off each other. but I can see that not being the case at a lower level. @@biggreen8025 Why should an overclocked small projectile be effective against huge mobs? In theory, the idea of a railgun is to focus on a small vulnerable point.
I had an idea yesterday that I don’t know how it would be received. After getting all stratagems any requisition marks you pick up are worthless how about adding a store where you can buy medals with RP or super credits. Since you get SC and RP while playing why not incorporate that for medals. Make the grind less and the company might make more money for people to buy SC for medals
I like your idea and medals are capped at 250 as well so you’ll always be spending.
They are doing those war bonds for super credits, so I'm excited to earn super credits every month for the war bonds.
Picking hard difficulties and complaining that the game is hard is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard.
I hope vehicles are added soon. Im so sick of running around for over half the mission time to try to find all the samples/pickups (and not even finding all of them mind you). Its so exhausting and when these vehicles finally drop i think I'll get such a kick outta it.
Having two people run EAT has worked well for my group at 7+ difficulty since the cooldown time is so fast you can generally call it down multiple times in prolonged engagements. A direct shot strips armor on a charger leg and then it's the same process as before of swapping to primary and finishing them off. It takes some getting used to but it ended up being way more effective then any of us expected. We also found 1 EAT + Rail Cannon strike would take down bile titans immediately but don't have enough runs to guarantee that's accurate. Hopefully they continue to fine tune spawn rates because I think people have to use more unique strategies rather than just running up and directly confronting every charger with a railgun.
Sometimes we just completely ignore the chargers. Even when we have 6 of them chasing us. They are easy to dodge and take too long to kill. They just become lost little puppies who follow us around the entire match.
Sounds like "fun"
I think that level 9 missions should be borderline impossible. If you give people options to take care of the threat, it’s not a threat anymore.
They should make more difficulties.
Then what is the point of a level 9 mission if you can’t beat it? I get making it super hard but the point should be that it’s still beatable if you work together. Making something difficult just for difficulties sake isn’t good game designZ

Yeah I dont see how thats a negative. It's not for everyone and that's ok. Nothing wrong if you're new to the game or new to gaming in general or just aren't good at games period. But to blame the game doesn't make sense. It's about having fun, play the difficulty thats fun. If thay means you play level 2 with a flamethrower just wrecking the small bugs go for it. Honestly I don't get the second review. "oh no I can't take down 8 bile titans and 12 chargers on level 9 with a single support weapon anymore whaaa this game sucks" Skil issue, simple as that. You still can kill titans and chargers, it's just not for free anymore. You have to move and use your brain. Train your aiming and timing. The game literally is for everyone. It has room for everyone. Why making the game balanced around casually players? Just so they can feel good they can play on 9? I stay out of 9 most of the times because I'm not good enough yet. So I play on 7 and 8 and still have a ton of fun and work. Just stick to your level and use your brain.

True. I never ran the railgun and only 1 person on my team ever took it if at all. The issue was that the railgun preformed too well compared to the other options which is why it was nerfed. There were viable options to choose from but if you have 1 option that makes you a 1-man army with a solution to every problem without regard for stratagem planning or teammates, then you've got a whole new problem.

There's always going to be a meta, but at least the meta is more than 2 weapons now. Reviews seem pretty accurate to me. First and only game I ever refunded on steam in 18 years. It's not a bad game, but it's certainly nothing special. It is a very average game, 5/10 or 6/10. I play several other games already in the genre that do what HD2 wants to do 10x better.
The Super Earth Ministry of Truth would like to remind you that writing things like this is treason and is punishable by death.
Lmao,
I swear I saw one that said “no rainbow cape or inclusion for marginalized groups means 1 star.”
Flame thrower makes quick work of chargers if you focus their leg, the unlisted EAT/Recoilless buff lets you easily strip their leg armor, and the railgun still does it in 2 shots on unsafe mode, rail cannons one shot them and the rocket pods make short work of their armor plating and of course the orbital laser is a bit slower but gets the job done in a pinch. I dunno how people have so much trouble with chargers. And now that we have mechs (after the video was made of course) they are even less of a threat to a well coordinated team on even the highest difficulties.
I don't understand. Charger is by far the easiest enemy in the game to dodge.
Idkn dude before the patch I was chilling in lv 8-9 missions with ammo backpack and nade launcher, the stratagems I used to use back then was 500kg and orbital railcannon and it was ok, I changed the build a lil bit later on but after the patch I'm using shield backpack, laser cannon, EMS orbital strike and 500kg on those same levels and it's fine. To me, the playerbase got "addicted" to a meta that works and makes the game easier and now that the meta toys are not that strong "there's nothing good to use anymore".
Idkn just get good, play WITH the team so you can learn how to use team based weapons like spear and others, it makes it easy too but the meta was literally 1 guy can do it all and now they can't do it like they used to so is "bad" now.
Forgot to mention that the build was for bugs and I used stealth a lot too but even so I would finish missions with 400+ kills on the bug side, on automatons It would get hard only on evac cause I would just run places down using stealth and stratagems but on evac they spawn like crazy but EMS is so busted you just have to play tactically and now when to use it.
So true
I like EMS mortar over the orbital version. Long as the mortar doesn't get taken out it seems to do more. With a 3 or 4 man crew the mortar is almost never targeted anyway.
I was half expecting silly negative reviews from people who dont understand/dont want to understand the game.
But these are genuine reviews with thought out arguements
These reviews have been reported to my local democracy officer
I was right at the end of a Operation when I was kicked for no reason, it was a level 7 mission as well and I needed to finish it to get to the level 8 missions.
Probably got kicked so someone's buddy could get samples.
Hella overwhelming now for lower difficulties is the only oroblem i have, i solo alot as i dont have many friends and im not interested all that much in joining randoms so having 100 bugs or bots spawning in a 100 meter radius, on all sides mind you, is just overwhelming. I still play (yesterday before it stopped letting me load the game up, uavent been able to play today) but the fun has turned into frustration lol. Took 8-9 times of losing on medium (pretty fucking sad ik but HELLO, new spawn change?) before i finally had enough.
Same. And getting tired of all the bootlickers just saying "get gud"...
They game is designed as a co-op game. Going in with less people doesn't alter the spawn rates and is a secondary level of difficulty for players wanting something more challenging by going solo or with less people. It's working as intended, it's not their fault you don't play with others in a co-op game and aren't up for the challenging nature of the solo experience.
@@Aggies44 nah homie. If you’re trying to solo in a CO OP, then you need to be good.

I kinda agree with the Anti-Cheat reviews like having a program that can allow a backdoor to your PC isnt a fun thing but oh well.
as someone who shoots guns a lot IRL I can say the the gun handling is realistic. when you shoot, recoil will make the muzzle rise dramatically unlike in many modern shooters where the muzzle miraculously stays in a 2 inch area with pretty much no rise at all and when aiming a gun and you swing side to side your front and rear sights will absolutely get out of alignment until you stop and manually correct your sight picture hence the swaying aiming reticle in 3rd person. the guy saying that the gunplay is floaty is clearly a COD player who has gotten spoiled on unrealistic gunplay that holds your hand in all aspects where you just point and shoot a laserbeam.
I'm not exagerating when I say that 8 out of 10 kicks that me and my friends have experienced were totally chill and polite. The team would say something like "we have a friend coming in for our fourth slot but gg man, or we are helping carry a friend through and show him the rope if you don't mind leaving". And in every occasion I was totally cool about like "roger that, good luck adios"
How would they possibly be able to patent use of the directional buttons 😂😂. Y’all are killing me with these videos
The same reason Ubisoft can patent direction-based combat from For Honor. Any system or device you can classify as its own thing can be patented.

In this case, nobody could patent use of the D-pad, but theoretically they could patent using rhythym-game-esque D-bad combinations for calling in abilities.

I disagree violently on the second review's talking points. Higher difficulties SHOULD require more skilled play, and there are still plenty of options to win in a fight. Losing should be more common on higher difficulties. They're not for everyone. Players need to find the difficulty they're comfortable and have fun at, and play on that. For me, I like the difficulty of 8 and 9. That's why I play them. You're not being forced to play at them (Except for super samples, but I don't think it's impossible to play at 7, where they're available.)
A lot of people are just too prideful to lower the difficulty. The devs intended Helldive to be the Dark Souls mode for this game that you could brag about to your friends, so naturally they were horrified when they realized a large percentage of players were at this difficulty and adjusted things accordingly. If you're having trouble, lower things to 7 or 8 and save 9 for when you really feel like a challenge. The game is already very accessible to everyone by having nine difficulty levels.
I have tried to play all this week and I can't, I don't have fun because the players abandon the game or kick me out of the game for no reason, they never finish the streak of 3 missions, they do 2 and then they leave the game, The game is incredible but the community and the matchmaking system destroy it, no one ever joins the game and if I play with random what I mentioned above happens to me, Lv40 with 90hours, am done i stop playing the game
Lol... I have been kicked from 2 games in total and am now 42... Ofc it's not always the host stays for 3 maps. A map is 30 40 min long! And you choose to quick join. When I play my own map and want help. You throw down the sos... Do you even know what that is? Maybe you should play on a lighter difficulty if you are constantly being kicked. Cause you are either killing teammates more with strategems and guns than you kill the enemy.. Or constantly being overwhelmed and dead.
@@jonathanlarsson6719 I'm not a noob who doesn't know anything, I know how to play very well, I never kill my teammates, I'm not mentally retarded, I know that SOS exists, I stand by what I said, I can show gameplay how well I move and I die very rarely, I have been playing video games for 20 years of my life to know how each video game is played and what the game is about.

Could be NAT type on your router. You'd have to go in and reset it. Green means good NAT Type, Yellow is caution and Red just means don't even bother to try doing anything onine until it's resolved. Could also be your provider throttling you since they see the increase in bandwidth usage by you (every provider does it, some more secretive than others). It could also be on the server's end. Generally, look up if whatever game you wanna play has any outages or if your provider is having issues the next time you struggle to play games online or do any internet surfing. I'm no tech guy fyi, so it's best to look these things up. What I've typed to you is the best I could think of.
I understand why the developers made the nerf. Those weapons, pre-nerfed, made short very work on the harder enemies. Enemies that are suppose to be tackled, strategically by the entire group. Kind of like the first Starship Troopers movie. We've not one-man killing machines but a group of regular humanoids soldiers that signed up to do the unthinkable. By design it's suppose to feel overwhelming and stuff hitting the fan in the highest difficulties. That's part of the fun. Having players being able to easily 2 shot main enemy type threats consistently would make the game start feeling stale. And when that happens, there would be far more bad reviews as a result.
Yes you are America💪🗿🇱🇷 or Super Earth Citizen 🌏🪐⭐ what ever

Except they didn't nerf them. They didn't touch the damage and the railgun was tuned so now you need to actually AIM to use it.
It's this reason alone that makes the events you *do* one man army the shit WAY more satisfying.
@@mitchellbarton7915 I agree. When the game becomes too easy, with overpowered and unbalanced weapons, with little downsides, where you can just point and shot without worrying about positioning, the decent to good players are going to start feeling bored and unchallenged. I would much rather they tweak the weapons rather than increasing the mob health and or spawn times. Because in doing so, that'll have a bigger negative impact on the other player groups.
Sorry but factor is great if youre a millionare that cant afford a chef. Shits so expensive. I cant stay silent lol
i say this. one reason people get kicked is because a level 1 player on a level 6 -7-8-9 difficulty is disastrous . You have a minimum amount of lives, and when a player of that level joins your game, you just know they are gonna die repeatedly and take up majority of those lives. My friend started late in the game and was level 5 and when i brought him to a higher difficulty like extreme or impossible he had a horrible time surviving lol. The solution is for low level players to play the lower levels first so they can at least grasps what they are about to experience and than move their way up. it doesn't take long to level up either.
All the "bad" reviews - I can only think of two things. Skill Issue and treason
AI Spawns need to be nerfed. The amount of them in one area is insane. 3 of us could do lvl9, only 1 used Railgun and Shield Pack. Now, Lvl7 is a massive struggle and having to exfil with no samples as all lost to a hoardes of elites.
I can hack less powered weapons, just don't turn the game into FrustrationDivers 2, for spilt Liber-Tea.
They did say they will hot fix the enemy spawns. I def see them too the spawns are crazy right now
@ill619__ did they do a hot fix for this? I've been playing 7-9's lately and they seem fine
Level 9 should be basically impossible though. If you could do it with a trio with only a rail gun and shield pack, it was too easy. I feel like level 1 should have a 95% success rate and level 9 should have a 95% failure rate. But that’s my opinion.
There is spawn mechanic in this game. It's not just throwing in a bunch of enemies (Unless Joel specifically wants to mess with your particular game), and there is a method of how and why so many enemies spawn. There are some easy to digest videos explaining it.
Since the "balance" update my game has become unplayable. I crash within 5 minutes or less from dropping in to any planet. Before it was maybe 1 crash for every 5+ drops. Now it's just a waste of $40.00. I really hope they can get the stability fixed.
You are the problem not the game
As of when I’m writing this, the game is fixed, I’ve had no crashes since the most recent patch. (4/10/24)
The guy who said it crashes every mission, probably has an issue with his own system. His experience isn't really reflected in the general experience.
The really big thing that gets me is that none of the enemies give you any exp. They just feel annoying and an obstacle to overcome that gives you nothing

I like how this video actually calmly addresses the goods and bads of the reviews. Often you see videos of bad reviews for games that tear into the review and the person, which can be funny and enjoyable but ultimately are unproductive in discussion of the game.

Bought game after this "game killing" patch and can't understand why all people just don't use other weapons? Rly you are blind or something? This game have more then 2-3 things to play with and you can try different combinations of strats and weapons. I can''t understand why you all crying it's not fun anymore.
@@BlackJackSincroknight I'll help you with this:
It all has to do with viability of the weapons on higher difficulty, specifically 7-9. There are so many armored units that it simply invalidates many of the current weapons. Yes, you can use different weapons for different things, but that only works for low level play. The reason people complained about the Railgun nerf is because it was a safe, simple, easy, efficient and reliable way to deal with heavy armor. Now with the nerf it's less fun because you run the risk of dying every time you pull the trigger in unsafe mode, furthermore, the reward (damage output for a full charge) doesn't match the risk (overcharge = death). The OG railgun was better by far.
That's why some ppl say that certain patches are "game killing", because some of them are.
@anyany2021 They nerfed it because of railcannon and shield back pack fan boys kicking people for violating the meta. There's plenty of other strategies you can adapt to easily beat the Helldive difficulty, one being STICKING WITH YOUR TEAMMATES
They need to buff weapons like wow 😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫
Huge weapon buffs in the most recent patch
Sounds like skill issue.
I don’t think there is an accessibility problem. Just turn down the difficulty. Pressuring the Devs to make hardest difficulty easier just ruins the game for players who aren’t struggling or enjoy the challenge. Players that didn’t like the difficulty spike don’t have to play 9.
My biggest issues with the game is connection issues and just not having friends to play with. I'm new to the game and still figuring it out and solo is a struggle.
You can add me if you want I’m on PlayStation.
Im level 46 and I dont ever kick people, i believe I only kicked one person, and he kept team killing. We asked him to be careful, he put an orbital barrage on top of the team and killed 3 of us. Then he ran all the way across the map by himself and started extraction. We told him both in voice and text chat to not start extraction with 25 minutes left. He didnt listen. So he became our one and only kick.
I've called shit on top of myself. Tends to happen when you get ragdolled while you're holding an active targeting beacon. When a 500kg beacon slips from your hand, you just accept your faith. Also I'm never on voice in public lobbies because people are hotmicing or constantly yapping or just being toxic cod kiddies.
Then again as long as shit's not hitting the fan, I'm trying to clear the map before extracting. It's a little frustrating when new players just rush the primary objective and extract, but it is what it is. It's up to experienced players to show them the way since the game barely is and we can afford a little patience.
"this game should be for everyone" damn it he lost the plot
One issue i have and i dunno if it tells me cause i dont see any kind of indicator on the map that tells me what difficulty my friends are playing on before joining there mission other than there level.
I honestly thought this video was gonna just dis those who gave it a 1 stars but I’m happily surprised that’s it’s more educational
