  • The League of Women Voters of Litchfield County and the Litchfield Historical Society partnership series for informed citizens continues with a second virtual lecture, “Mis/Disinformation in the Media: Educating Readers on Recognizing it and Avoiding it,” on Sunday, February 26th at 3:00 p.m.
    Combatting misinformation in the media is a high priority for the League of Women Voters and central to their mission of providing guidance and resources to educate voters. Join panelists Bruce Putterman, CEO and publisher of The Connecticut Mirror, Maria Shanahan, associate professor at the University of Connecticut and head of the Department of Journalism, and Amanda Crawford, veteran political reporter and UConn assistant professor for a discussion on misinformation in the media.
    This lecture is part of a partnership series between the Litchfield Historical Society and the League of Women Voters of Litchfield County. The League of Women Voters of Litchfield County is a grassroots nonpartisan political organization of women and men.
