2024 Mathews LIFT In-Depth Bow Review
Vložit
- čas přidán 15. 08. 2024
- Mathews just dropped their new 2024 bow! Trail was able to get his hands on this bow earlier this year and took it on a Colorado elk hunt, and he connected on a great bull! In this video, Trail goes over everything you need to know about this new bow. He goes into specs, initial thoughts, and then does some testing with a decibel meter compared to some older Mathews models. Finally, Trail does some fps testing, plus some long-range real-world tests.

You can just look at this Lift bow and tell its the Best. Mat did not get here on being ignorant. Matt is brillant end of story
Best video I have watched about the new bow.
Thanks for watching! Trail is a wizard when it comes to bows.
@@GOHUNT yup, he reminds me of a young Chuck Adams.
Trail can you pass on any advice or tips to help me setup and sight in my uv slider today. My lift 33 finally arrived yesterday along with my uv slider
So I have been waiting for the lift to launch but apparently it does not really launch. No store has one for sale. They were only given 3 bows. 2 for customers to shoot for feel and one to display. Vendors don't actually know when they are going to receive bows.
I was told today that if I ordered one today, I should expect a late January/early February delivery. They don't really know until the order is actually placed and they get a build date.
Bow is badass
If you were to order the 70lb mods and you tighten the limbs down all the way does the draw weight tend to go beyond 70 or does it stop really close?
I shot one today with 70lb mods. The dealer checked the weight with a scale and it measured around 74lbs.
@@deansleigh4091 sounds good thanks so much!
Hi there, mine was 70.1# with everything set to spec in terms of ATA length and brace height. Hope that helps!
Are those strings and cables going to be free of peep rotation and stretching out of spec.
Hope so, I thought I was upgrading to gas strings on my v3 and 500 arrows later I’m still getting peep moving and stretch. Hope these new stock strings are legit… for the price you should not have to upgrade your strings out of the box
@dionysis84 both my athens came with gas strings, set both my peeps one time. 30-40 shots settled in,and haven't had to mess with either peep once.
Hi there, I've got over a thousand shots on the Mathews Match strings and so far I have not had any stretch, peep rotation, or serving separation..not even on the cable where the draw stops roll into the cable. IMHO they are a real upgrade from previous years strings and cables.
How are the DL's? Do they run long?
Is that a granite riser with black limbs?
I guess i missed drawlenhgtg and weight????
When are you doing a Hoyt review GoHunt
Like the color combo…is that riser the earth or granite color with black limbs?
Hi there, this bow has the earth colored riser and black limbs.
Nice bow review
Appreciate you checking out the video. It's a solid, solid bow!
Tell my buddy Jared Pierce Beau says hi
Hoyt guy, but this bow intrigues me….👊🏻🏹🇺🇸
Same here man. Thing is clean.
I switched form Hoyt to the Lift 33
Would you say the lift is more quiet than the phase 4?
Personally I cannot hear a difference between the two and decibel testing would put them in approximately the same range
I have the Mathews 31.5 VXR from a few years ago. Is the 33" Lift better? fyi...I have a 31" draw length, so I plan on getting the 33" (if I buy a new one).
I traded my 31.5 VXR for a 29.5 Lift this morning. I adored my VXR, but was astonished by the new bow. Go try one out. You won’t be disappointed.
@@tomshelly1I’ve got the 31.5 vxr also. Can you really tell the difference between this bow and the lift?
I loved the VXR but the Lift is a different bow. The Lift is quieter, faster, has a better/harder backwall, and with the long riser and wide limb platform it aims really well. Whether it's worth it is a subjective question but the Lift is a really nice bow and in my opinion an improvement on the VXR.
Pretty sure there are no 80% mods out yet only 85
Max draw length? Maybe I missed it?
Max draw length on the 29.5 version is 30 inches. And the max draw length on the 33 version is 31.5 inches.
Thanks! Looks amazing! I need at least 32 though. Story of my life, almost no size 16 boots, almost no 32”+ draw length bows. The struggle is real 😂
Matthews tend to underestimate their draw lengths. A 31.5 Matthews is usually a 32”. You should go try pulling one at your bow shop. They can also twist the cables a bit and get you an extra 1/4” if needed
Thanks@@Wallymakesstuff!
It's nowhere near as fast as Mathews claims. Pretty much the same speed as the Phase 4 which also fell short of advertised speed.
It's still a great bow. Not hating, just being honest.
Where have you seen an IBO speed test. I haven't seen one on YT. seen lots of ATA test but no IBO.
I just purchased a Phase 4 last I started calling about it 2 weeks ago I was encouraged to wait for the new ones to come out so I go home and start looking on Matthews website to see what they have the cost so on All I see are the Title target bows I called again to ask are they putting out a hunting model The Title cost 1800 plus Finally I was told they come out on the 14 and they don’t know anything until then and even then you only get to see them you still have to order one I’m good with my Phase 4 I just wish you could get more information ahead of time to make up your mind
Yes, pretty tough you get the best of the best at the moment. And they're just about ready To release the next Set of new bows, it's frustrating and it is definitely not cheap.
@@user-ye7sm1kt1d yes and I bet that new shot sense technology raises the price up pretty good I’m super satisfied with my phase 4 though It’s a great bow just need to get my shoulder fixed
@user-ct4im4nd6r lift is only 30 dollars more than the phase 4. Shot sense is an add on for 349. Just bought a lift and expecting it to arrive in the two weeks. The phase 4 is still an awesome bow and you shouldn't be disappointed.
