don't be afraid to cut your tomato plants back some.. i learned this season that trimming all the bottom branches so they don't touch the ground and are at least a foot up from the soil provides better conditions and thinning them reduces blight or damage. I planted beef steak tomatoes and the first harvest were bigger than my fist and the second one were very large store bought size. I made sauce but I probably should have dehydrated some. I hope you have a place outside of your fence for your cherry tree I think i like this channel more than your other one heh sorry heh

The rule for strawberry plants is first year sleep, Second year creep, and third year reap. Easy to remember that way.

Very pleased to see your garden video after watching you talk to Herbert about the grid down scenario.
Have you ever heard whether or not we can eat the green tops of the carrot.? Seems such a waste to chuck them back into the garden. Thanks for your garden tour.

In Siberia, the gardening season is over, the entire crop has already been harvested. There are frosts at night, it will soon snow.

We had best yield of tomatoes when the main part of the plant is under a roof. So they won't rott.
Tipp from me: Never throw rotten tomatoes with the pest on the earth or compost. Always throw them far away. otherwise they will pest the whole compost.

Had a great tomatoe year myself here in North Texas. I just let them run as a vine this year but I think I'm gonna cage 5hem in 2021.

Lily, a question about your garden...In an after the collapse situation, there are certain fruits and veggies and legumes that would be more important for daily sustenance than things like berries. I'm thinking potatoes, carrots, beans, grouds--hearty food that supplies you with protein and strength. Have you planned your garden to that most of it consists of these vital survival foods?

Just boil a couple of eggs, eat the inside and break the shells into pieces then sprinkle them on top of the soil to get rid of the slugs and snails, the broken egg shells to slugs and snails is like sharp glass is to humans

Good harvest for you all season! What variety of yellow carrots are those? Also, will you put up a video soon of the harvest at your mother's garden? Thanks!

These gardening videos are so relaxing to watch and I've learned a lot of neat tricks--love the little hydroponics bottles! I was wondering what is the dehydrator you are using, if you would recommend it or have any problems with it?
