Dalian is a city in Liaoning province, China. The city's name means "the East Bay" and it was founded by the Russian Empire as Dalny (or Dairen) in 1898. It became a treaty port after the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905 and grew into an important industrial centre during the early 20th century.
Dalian is a port city in the Liaoning Province of China. It's known for its beautiful Marina Bay and Venice-inspired canal, which has earned it the nickname "Venice of the East". Dalian is also home to one of the largest military bases in Asia, giving it an interesting history and sense of secrecy.

I am American, but my wife is from Dalian, and I have been to Dalian four times now since 2005. I can honestly say that Dalian is a beautiful city, especially at night when everything lights up. For anyone who wants to go to China, make sure to visit Dalian as a part of your journey.

China has 56 ethnic groups. It would better help promote them if statues of them are used instead. It's perfectly ok to preserve what has been inherited from China's historical past, but newly build areas should reflect China's long and rich heritage.

Dalian is my home town. Before I came to US thirty years ago, I worked in a architectural design firm in Dalian, I participated over 300 project design, construction, and management for my home town Dalian. Your film is so familiar to me, I used to live very close to that castle, the bridge, the biggest square, and also that TV tower on the top of the mountains. Thank you so much for your excelent video. I missed my home town so much, I haven't been back for more than two years due to pandemic. Hope to visit my home town soon to see my 91 years old father, my brother and my sister. Happy Father Day.
