Out of the entire video, Marco convinced me that I really need to get the electric screwdriver.
I got one from Banggood. It makes you feel like you know what you are doing.
If you like to screw little things.
$108 from Banggood?!? LOL for that it should come with a Reuben sandwich and a b___j___b
I got one years after seeing his review video. Honestly I don't know why I waited so long, it's worth it.
They are absolutely great
10:57 Hey! That's me. Hello world!
"!"
It's a lovely model - I've got a few of them printed from ColorFabb's Woodfill, which is a great colour for fennecs :D (I gave one to my ex-gf, who's a fennec furry, so that was very appreciated :p). So yeah, great job
sup
@@AndrewGillard i hope shes ex bcs u killed her xD
yay a new reason to live, for 16 minutes and 4 seconds at least. Thanks Marco!
Brought to you by "Fucks News".
I really love your dry german humour :)
1:26 No, not Galvo - you see it says 'Glavo' on the sticker!
Oh how could I have missed that? Delicious.
Marco - I just discovered your videos yesterday. Not only are your videos informative and interesting, but as an added bonus, you're quite a comedian as well. You crack me up!
I (still) love your dry humor along with the geekin
LOL Love the Octopus and have printed one as soon as I saw it too! :D Well done Mate!
The detail in the skull pencil holder is impressive. Good video.
0:50 😂 Marco, deshalb liebe ich Deinen Channel!
"Universial Surface Shmoo" still gets me every other week
Oh. Merke gerade, dass mein Hirn auf halbem Weg auf ein anderes Programm geschaltet hat 😂
Great vid mate, keep em coming!
Nice review. It looks like a nice machine. And you humor made me chuckle a lot :D
That clarity dota reference
you have to make more videos i really love watching them!
I appreciate you doing this video. Now there is no way I would ever buy this (JUNK) after seeing your demo.
wait a min. thats a clarity sound @12:56 didnt expect that. nice one
Uh what, could you elaborate please.
@@SianaGearz when he said the word clarity he plugged in the sound of a common item called clarity in dota2 (a game) and the fact that I couldn't at first remember from where that sound came from even though I heard it like 1million times made me impressed.
@@hamzakamel2752 i see, thanks. Have not played Dota.
15:08 just shoot one photon and don't look at it, it'll interact with itself and baddad bing badda boom, no need to pay all your money to BIG photon.
LeviHB it’s just 250,000 bucks
ikr
You guys are paying way too much for your photons. I only pay like 0.013 yocto-bucks each for mine.
I really was impressed by that screw driver too!
Hey, I just wanted to say hello. I really love your content and I've been watching you since March. I really can't believe that you don't have any more subscribers. But please remember me when you became big and famous : ) Keep doing what you are doing, creating great stuff.
I am very interested in this kit. Looks pretty awesome!
I like that screwdriver! (oh and the printer is also nice :p ) Thanks for the video
Great content, dude!!!
Very interesting, I want one now.
This was the one I was looking for, because of the beginning
Excellent video !
Great vid thank you very much very informative and entertaining.
Suggestion. Use your IPA in a ziploc bag in the sonicator. The bath can then be filled with water and the bag with solvent.
The oldest method of 3d printing, at least that I know of. And what Carbon3D was showing in that video is actually the way the original 3D Systems SLA printers from the late 80s worked.
yay, new video!
im excited for that multi material thing :)
The most dry delivery of hilariously funny content I've ever heard. Great job!
nice printer! also really like you humor :)
I can't get a minute into your videos without throwing a "like" on it. 0:50 got me exercising much self restraint here in the office.
Your commentary in this video is simply AWESOME! You made me laugh few times
Awesome video! I believe you can put filament-based 3D prints in a container filled with acetone vapor to smooth out the surface.
when I saw this benchy i am amazed how far 3d printers come now days ... i just printed my first benchy on my dirt cheap ender 2 pro ... and in comparison to this benchy in the beginning... mine looked like molded
Hilarious! Love your humor.
Do you ever take on custom work? I came here after searching for galvo laser printing systems. Let me know.
the octupus is so damn cool!
Resin printing seems to have come long way in just a couple of years. Now its just an lcd screen. I use and anycubic photon and the results are fantastic!
Nice, thanks for sharing 👍😀
where can we find that octopus model ? for research purposes...
Search for F**ktopus on Thingiverse..
Geiler Text - merci!
Your goals are spectacular I wanna see you get that laser
Very cool.
Ok, the idea of printing optics is awesome. Can you print something like the reflector from the leap motion "Project North Star" AR HMD?
Now I just need my boss to buy me one of these...
quality eye protection!!!
Cool intro!
Holy crap, that intro scared me...
Have to admit, I'm hoping you pursue the optics aspect of these printers. It's one reason I want one, so I can design and learn how optics work, and make a special bike lens, that's very tiny, but puts out a lot of light.
the simplest way to get a good focal point is to start with very small leds (Cree XP-L Hi 10W leds or more XQ-E Hi (smaller, less powerful, easier to focus) leds, note that you need to take one with the R or S bin, the lower bins than R or S don't produce that much light)
the laser system wont help much at all, it's based on mirrors
What do you think of the PRUSA SL1? also I think that TOP-DOWN is a better choice... that is until why manage to have a permeable film like Carbon does
Multi layer package!!! 😘
yay
CONTENT
the astero from eve online was cool!
for the uv-bucket, you could use multiple short UV-C Neontubes aranged in a cricle like a minigun.
either 12x 4Watt 136mm or 6x 11W 212mm . (or more if you like offcourse)
So when are you going to print your Moai statues? I don't expect them to be full scale.
i WANT that octopus to take to work
Print some glasses with no seam between the lens and frame!
Gets me every time... clarity .... Opinions on the new patch? does it feel like there is less of a back and forth and one team will snow ball every time fairly consistently had like 2 games out of 20 that were close
Scheiße man, ich mag deinen Style 😂♥️
Scheiß die Wand an, ist der lustich oder nich?
Didn't realize there was so much post-print processing needing with resins....sounds like a time suck for sure!
Oh it is. + you need an ultrasonic cleaner and a uv curer too.
And time.
And also touching the resins is cancer inducing....
And they reek.
And the support is a pain to remove.
(You might see me regretting the choice of buying a resin printer here ;) )
@@jojoposter Well when you say it like that it sounds bad....
This is very interesting piece of hardware. Getting galvo mirrors with a whole lot of stuff for 1000€ is pretty good. I would love to see their max speed. Also if you ever want to play with the driving electronics make sure to separate the mirrors first so they can't bump into each other. Kind of destroyed a couple like this.
Anyway trying 2P polymerization would be super cool, but to get to hyperfine resolution you need a good objective, and those are super costly. However with the right lenses you could get good results, without having to sacrifice too much speed.
Now I want that Octopus 3D-model files to download :)))
Damn, forgot the tag www.thingiverse.com/thing:2765929
@@reps Thanks! It will be my next most important thing to do :)
1:17 The little boat that couldn't.
What’s wrong with Hiwin rails? The clones aren’t all that great but it’s an absolute joy to work with original hiwin rails and see them in action.
"hold my beer and watch this"... lmfao!!!
With your sense of humor, you really need to get into narrating industrial films. You are too funny dude! By the way; good film.
0:50 For The Win!
Love to see another video from one of my fave hackers :)
1:33 sound good? let's goooooow
This is hilarious! When German engineers want to have fun...
yo, moayy with no brim
This was the first video I have seen from this channel. When I first heard the monotone voice over I thought, "This is going to be a rough 16 minutes." Imagine my elation as the video progressed. Soon, valuable information was imparted and an unexpected sense of humor emerged, perhaps made all the more humorous when juxtaposed against the aforementioned monotony. In short, you, sir, have gained a subscriber! REJOICE! :)
7:57 Hold my beer and watch this.
pcb with this would be peace
Fot printing lenses i think you should probably print the shape and then get rid of the layers. After, use the now smooth print to cast a mold of casting lenses
I know you're mostly just kidding, but right now two photon absorption would still cause a lot of excess heating if you want any decent speed to your printing since you need many photons to guarantee sufficient spatial and temporal overlap. You can get around this with using an entangled photon source, but that's something we're still working on so you'll have to wait a bit longer for that ;)
Alright, just gimme a call when it's ready and you need a video about it ;)
that bed tilt mechanism seems like such a questionable solution but i suppose the results do look quite nice
I have one note about the quality of the content recently on this channel, I used to watch very good in-depth content about electronics but recently it is all about sponsorship and products that are more or less doesn't feel so good to use or even watch (I am talking about the Chinese products at least).
You have talked about a lot of projects in the past that I really was excited about but all of them evaporated without any trace!
Hope you will be back on the track soon and work on your old projects.
No offense but as a viewer, this is my own opinion, hope you can accept it.
Welcome to CZcams under demonatization. Google has created a situation where one must whore products in order to make a video worth it at all. For guys like Marco, it just means that any video that isn't showing off a sponsor is probably not worth the effort that could be spent on projects that actually make him money.
Thank you. I don't like money and I would forever make the content I used to for free. But because everything is so damned expensive, especially CNC parts, I am forced to play the game and accept what I can in spite of all the support I already get on Patreon. If I ever reach AvE levels, I will cheerfully quit my advertising side business and only accept awesome products such as this printer.
Nothing has vanished, it's all still here.
@@reps But surely it's all too easy to reach AvE levels - all you need to do is make up your own language, talk a load of nonsense, throw in some swear words, unpack boxes with all kinds of unsuitable tools, throw things around and generally make a mess. Easy! ;-)
@@reps There is no comparison between you and AvE, I would set all day long watching your videos (the old ones) and even repeat some of them and never get bored.
On the other hand, AvE channel doesn't give me as much benefit as yours and the new knowledge that I gain from watching one of his videos is so little to nothing which why I quit watching him.
At the end, hope you give your old project sometime again.
Thanks
@Speakers Corner SKITZ 2 shut up. How old are you?
Lmao as soon as I saw the "F-you-topus" I was sold! Loving it!
octo-bird?
0:47 - where can I order my own “FUCK YOU” octopus? 🙂
Ah, it's good to see Marco abusing a 3D printer again. I've missed this.
You better have your limit switches figured out with the femtosecond laser, you wouldn't want to engrave your bed.
That would be great footage...
Share the octopus model with us
ahah metal gear song ! surprise !! XD
Rammstein makes some pretty cool videos.
13:32 send that to beyond the press ?
or make a hydraulic press? idk
What is the optics (Ray tracing) program shown at 14:31 in the video?
Hello can i ask you what is a name of 3D SLS printer?? it look like diy:) vcan you please kindly provide some info?? ty alot..
What's the name of the optical design software from 14:35?
One of many possible arrangements is an outstanding 3D printer 🤣
"MATT BLACK EVERYTHING"
Drying before curing? While all resins might not react the same, my understanding is that oxygen inhibits curing in 405nm resins (its even mentioned late in the video). Since I started peeling supports while immersed in ISP and then curing under water (after a rinse bath) I've never had another sticky print. They now feel like something from an injection mold instead of tacky Tester's Silver that never truly dried. Keep the part immersed in something once that film of unexposed resin is removed.
CLIP (Carbon3d) uses Teflon AF2400 because it's ridiculously oxygen permeable, but the price is insanely high. If you ever discover a method to recreate this effect with cheaper materials I'd be very interested... I wonder if the material they use for contact lenses would be suitable or if they're nowhere near permeable enough...
Alternatively, a second way of inhibiting curing on the bottom layer (the dead zone) could potentially work...
12:53 I want to play DotA again.
6:19 Do your eyes emit UV ? Otherwise for the shiny door , a trip to someone with a soda blaster can cure that.
holy hell 100nM 3D printing.. !!!
Driving the bed blithely into the frame? Trinamic anybody? I've never been a fan of SLA, currently prototyping phase of an SLS printer that uses galvos, I still find it weird everybody got excited about SLA and everybody is running scared of SLS. That layer release process is ugliness, I didn't even know that was a thing with SLA, surely it should be swapping layer height before it too strongly attaches?
Can you make a video on galvanometers??
9:12 ha! i thought i got a text
Interesting video. What Ray tracing software is that?
