Inverted forks have to be thru-axle due to the fact there's no fork arch/brace. A quick release inverted fork would be a scary proposition for anyone crazy enough to try it. The axle is performing the job of the missing brace to keep the stanchions parallel. That's also the reason for the dual bolts that tighten down the clamps on the thru-axle, to maintain rigidity.

Looks like you need to add a Wolftick logo hoodie or cold weather cycling shirt. Keep in mind that colder weather will reduce the air pressure. Looked like a well performing fork for a low price. I too am wondering about durability. The weight kept the score down. If it weighed 4 pounds (like most air forks), it would have been close to the top.
Seen some vids about that fork and that it breaks easy

Nice test. I like the looks of it also and it sounded smooth on the trails you did not hear the bike making a lot of clucking sounds. I think let out 5psi and make the rebound just a bit quicker and it will shine!

I was a big fan of what they used to call them upside down forks. Owning the white brothers ud150 they are old but still my favorite look.I’ll be checking to see them in other trails. Harder trails or more tech trail. Plus to see a triple clamp fork from them. I use old bombers and they are great for me.

I just sold my trek rail and bought the LUNA Cycles x2 Enduro with 2000 watts. Blows my trek away! As far a cheap forks go, buying slightly used rockshox lyrik is to me the best way to go

Awesome video boys! That fork looked like it performed well, it looked smooth. The one thing I am not too sure about is it’s strength and durability.
I believe it is missing a cross brace linking the two stanchions. Those long tubes require more support or they should have made it a triple crown.
Just my opinion, not worth much 😳😂. Love the intro also.🤘

Guys great video, I couldn't help but notice that they added some slack to that bike with that forward rake. Consider making it a mullet? Seeing it will fit a 29er! Also check your messenger finally got around to sending pics of builds and your merch lol! Love hearing that your going to long term them, I saw a comment that those looked like the DMR version so I researched them. They do look exactly like the DMRs. When reviewing the DMR's I noticed a ton of comments that the DMR version were missing oil in the stations. There is a rebuild video out there (for maintaining those suckers) so you may want to check it out. Hit me up if you need help finding it.

I like your review they are great but you might want to consider shimano hydraulic brakes I have them on my mongoose fat tire bike and they work great I trust them better then the cable brakes.

I see you mention the gopro effect which really is result of fish eye lens, even if you put it in linear you will have some distortion. I reccomend to get PeauPro87 3.37mm lens. But I don't know if it works for Hero10, they have not tested that. But does for Hero 7 Black. Then you can't complain about gopro effect.
Gotcha, we shoot with 4, 7 blacks and a 10. The 10 is too narrow for a chesty or a helmet to set on linear. The audio is the best by far so we will just have to stick with the 10

Well we have ran the rockshox on it as well....we reviewed it not that long ago, it is not tapered but it worked fine with the Jessica adapter(sorry jason)
I think Wolfman was right, a little less air would have helped the smalls. It was very impressive watching the fork cam, the dampaning was very smooth looking. The weight is probably the only thing that would keep me from buying one.

It looks like a really good fork, sadly I can't seem to find this fork anywhere in the UK so guess i will have to wait. As for the Bolany haters well people gonna hate especially if its new and good and cheap and not from one of the over priced elitist brands, there was a time when cheap budget china forks where really bad and dangerous but that was for the most part 7 years ago and they have massively jumped forward, the problem is you have a group of elitist people that hat anything other than the elitist brands that will parrot comments like it breaks or i had one fail or they do not last , which was copied from others that was coped from others, so you have a chain of people copy pasting hate that have never actually used them, even the ones that have used them have questionable comments like one i seen on another video and it was something like " Bolany are terrible and dangerous and will kill, i jumped of a huge hill 6 foot in the air and it snapped " and its like no shiz it failed doing that and i have personally seen top brands doing the same.
Stick within the capability of the fork and it is a good buy and i think would last many years with good maintenance
Also it is excellent to see someone using an Ebike to get out and enjoy the sport where they otherwise would not be able to, I just wish more trails where more ebike friendly, more and more I am seeing trails throw up the no Ebike signs and i really can't understand why

I'm considering buying the dual crown DH version of this upside-down fork but I don't know if it's worth the 255 bucks. Most Bolany forks are not that good and I would realy like to see it tested again after one year. Is it still a good fork? Thanks!

What do these forks weigh in comparison to the factory fork on the Ledge X1? Wanna replace those forks! Cuz that bike needs a weight loss program! (Or I just need to get stronger!) But nevertheless the factory forks are not nearly as nice as the Recons on my old 26er. Just wondering which fork I should go with for the upgrade on the Walgoose. Wanna go a mullet route if feasible. Love how you do some real time reviews!

I'm curious about whether you were catching all the air you usually catch with other real time reviews... it did not seem that way (quiet landings and less travel used)... but you would be the judge of that since you were riding... is the fork just super smooth and absorbs really well, or is it super heavy and therefore the airs were shorter/lower and as a result, impactful???
Man first of all I am glad you asked, the fork performed just like it looked on the screen regardless of my riding style (this video mainly). Now the reason it seemed the hits were not as big and it looked tamed down was, 1 Brandi was there and did not wanna ride to stupid and get as much air as possible then crash and ruin a trip. And 2 it was 25 degrees!!🤣🤣🥶 But all in all we felt taking it on 3 different trails was going to be a great look and feel for everyone considering the situation.
are the wheels on the mongoose thru axel or are you using an adapter for the fork? Or you bought a boost rim?

I'm from the Philippines and to be honest the bad reputation they are saying is because of their own doing. Clearly the fork is only for light trail not for DH but they abuse the fork not even knowing thw limitation of the fork. I have an oil slick bolany and it performs well on trails and it has been through a lot of trails with zero problem because I know it's limits. I'm using an Epixon now on my Giant but I still have the old bike with the bolany still performing and looks well even after a year.

Problem with inverted forks, oil is always against the seals 100% of the time. Marzocchi, stopped making it, but I think Manitou still makes the Dorada

Awesome review. Was good to see real world use because I've heard a lot of s**t talk about the company until now but no demonstrations. If these forks can handle the abuse of your rides they'd probably be fine for the average rider.
Toss a BBS02 or BBSHD on Ron Burgundy and it'll easily keep up with those overpriced LBS e-bikes. Admittedly not as refined as a Bosch or Brose motor, but for half the cost (or less) you can build something that would leave an LBS e-bike eating dust. Pardon another shameless e-bike project plug;)

Man we have never tried the DNM Valcano, but I can say this fork has lasted so far and has been pretty descent.

Bolany....? It's a leasure type fork only. In the Philippines, bolany fork snaps in some xc,/trail/AM,.. and it's also called ballony.
European zippers are opposite. All my alpinestars riding jackets and suit is like that. Here in the states i think women's is opposite of mens.
