- DISCLAIMER - The power outages caused by the storms in LA fucked up the audio interface I use to record the the podcast at Hasan's house. The audio files were basically corrupt and sounded like garbage. Spent the last 24 hours after landing back in LA from Japan trying to salvage it and get it to a point that sounds listenable still, so that's why it's late and that's why it sounds a little weird at times. Super unlucky and super stressful, hopefully you all still enjoy this episode :( Sorry team.

Here’s the thing: I believe him when he says it; Hasan is _not_ his type. _Yet_ I *do* think Austin likes Hasan a lot (not necessarily in the “crush” sense) and he is baffled at the fact that he likes him. It’s one of those situations where you’re not physically attracted to the person but you find yourself kind of crushing on them regardless. I can very much relate to that.
I also think maybe because Austin didn’t come out until he was 25, he just feels so much freer around his friends now because he can be out and they love and accept him so much and it clearly makes Austin so happy.
I mean, you can’t deny it would be good content.

I can totally see Austin being all messy and alluding to having lots of dudes over to hasans on the stream just to make Hasan nervous there’s a gay orgy with lots of strangers happening at his house while he’s away in another country. Like obviously Austin wouldn’t actually do it. He’d probably just get wine drunk by himself and curl up and watch the notebook or something over the top stereotypical to be dramatic, but I can totally see him streaming and and alluding to it just to freak out Hasan and garner lots of reacts on social media

Japan has been on my list for a LONG TIME, and I feel way more prepared to visit after seeing your streams last week! As a 5’10” tall American woman, I was so grateful to learn about fun things to see, and to have the valuable insight about little details like tall people will not find cool clothes, have a hard time fitting into regular spaces, and we might struggle to fit in a bathroom stall. 😅 Thanks again for bringing us along with you. @@aquasnippy I wasn't referring to this episode to be clear,I mean in general. Filming on Sun and new epi out on Monday is a lot of work and if it came out later in the week nobody would be mad so there's less pressure
When Austin was talking about the hair pill having 1% chance of giving him erectile dysfunction, all I could think about was how birth control pills have been linked to increased chances if infertility and certain cancers, as well as just generally messing with your head bc of added hormones, yet women are expected to take that All the time 👀
(Obvs. Prevent pregnancy and preventing hair loss is very different, I just couldn't help but find it ironic how his comparison for Rae was saggy boobs and not infertility, since that feels closer to ED, and also is an actual choice women make when it comes to meds)

My response to @38:00 When I did a stint with a host family in Japan in high school we went to Hiroshima and the eternal flame and the host family said as they were describing everything "look at what you did" I always wondered if it was a translation issue or them trying to show the pain usa caused a generation through the war. They were the best family and so nice. Either way y'all should definitely visit . It was such a good experience.

Every time I watch an episode where the guest is kind of ignored, it's painful! Iike first CDawg pod was so rough compare the second one which felt like a redemption! This episode is a recap of what we watched on stream, but described to Austin. Rae says under 200 words in the first 41 minutes.... This is the first time I bitch about that shit, but fuck, it's like, focus on the Guest!
Tell us where she's from, get us some more personal info that makes the guest likeable and interesting rather than simply talking and ignoring the guest for what is the better part of the public part of the pod.
In Hasan's defense, she did looked pooped out with the jetlag kicking in full force for sure!

He treats the podcast like his stream and is talking at them instead of chilling and letting the convo unfold naturally. He got better at it but this feels like old episodes when it was the worst.

I just got back from a week long cruise to the Bahamas with the boys and I had some of the most spontaneous and culturally enriching experiences of my life there. Ours was also pretty middle of the road, yet we were drunk for a week straight.
