Study of Geometry using Coordinate points is called Coordinate geometry.
Need of Coordinate system:
*Easier to locate
*Good to have reference points
To locate the position of a point on a plane ,we require a pair of coordinate axes. Every point has 2 coordinates. One is X-coordinate(abscissa) and another is Y-coordinate(Ordinate).
Distance Formula:
The formula to find the distance between two points is given by
d=√((x2 - x1)² + (y2 - y1)²)
and the distance from origin is
d=√X²+Y²
Section Formula:
(m1x2+m2x1/m1+m2 , m1y2+m2y1/m1+m2 ),
