SAF said, however, that he would sign Mascherano (he said something along the lines of: "That's one of the most stupid questions I've ever heard in my life... Javier Mascherano").

1:42 Harry Redknapp with an absolutely masterful display of sarcasm. Brilliant! (In the late 60s at WH he got the ball to take a throw-in but had to wait for an injured player to receive attention. I happened to be right there. He talked to the spectators, joshed with the kids at the front, made everybody laugh. He was and still is a great character. Pity there aren't more like him.)
