      I can eat for a whole day on a us dollar for sure. But it takes multiple shopping trips, sale shopping, meal planning and prepping, and cooking everything from scratch to get a variety like that. There you simply grab and go wow enjoy your travels🎉

    in indonesia now, with 1 dolar you can have a litre of pertamax gasoline, or a cheapest version of nasi padang (a bowl of white rice with a fish or a big chunk of chicken or a small piece of beef) or a plate of nasi goreng (fried rice with an sunny side up egg)----the drink is free

    I used to work with a guy from Ghana. He came to St. Louis for grad school what he didn't count on was the weather. He arrived in September so he caught the end of summer then hit winter and froze then hit our summer. He wasn't prepared for our heat and humidity.

    An African woman from Ghana visited our school to teach about her culture and we cooked together, the bofot was delicious and also the rest of food we cooked. Will never forget that day😁

      That food is a million times hygienic than many five star hotels all over the world. I have worked in one and chefs will pick food from floor and not washing hands even after using toilet.

    Ghana is expensive but people are obsessed with December in Ghana and the hype we're currently enjoying so they're blind to that fact. This guy bought rice and beans and coke plus other things in Nigeria. In Ghana $1 would just cover the rice no stew or protein so it's not a surprise he got what he got.

    You can get cheaper chocolate for 1 € here in Montenegro, southeastern Europe. That's about it. Well at least a whole chocolate. Those better ones are 1,5 € and up.

    While the reason behind this is 100% settler colonialism propped up by the tourism industry and continued exploitation.
    It's good to go out to the street fair and give the money to ACTUAL people. Rather than the tourist traps that are all owned by corpos.
    Basically if you visit a country. Make EXTRA sure your money will stay in the country.
    Tons of tourist countries have the profit shipped out. It's awful.
