OMG what! The first time I watched this series I didn't notice at 4:25 the grandpas are holding hands and Kuea says 'Life partner probably means something like this.' The grandpas were a couple too! Kuea is hoping that he and Hia Lian will still be together when they're that old too.
That's why both families were instantly cool with Hia Lian and Kuea crushing on each other as kids! That's why the two families, who seem to have nothing in common and no reason to interact otherwise, were so inexplicably intertwined in the first place! Major plothole fixed right there.

CutiePie has set such a high standard for BL that I don't even know if I'll ever be able to watch another one after this. I love all apects of this show. I can't even express in words how much this episode means to me. Lian's speech at the end about what marriage and love means to him was so beautiful. Saying "love is wanting to take care of him" just pulled on my heartstrings so much. When you're one of us, love is so much more than just marriage, it's about our chosen family because sometimes our real families reject us. I really want to thank everyone involved with the production, the writing and directing of this fantastic piece of art. You guys really made something special with this series. It will stay in my heart forever.

I like people enjoying BLs, including this one, but the show still has its flaws and isn't all around perfect. The lack of female characters, the rather simple storyline, and above all, the unreflected romanticization of rich people are just among the most prevailing ones throughout the show. You can all def enjoy this show, but always try to be aware of its problems too. Objectively, there have been better BLs out there - Not Me, I told sunset about you, and Bad Buddy to name a few coming to mind. Personally, you can def still enjoy this one more for all kinds of reasons - but the standard this show set is actually lower than the standard BLs set before.

This was a masterpiece. No crazy schemes, no stupid ex, no love antagonist. Just pure love, that comes with ups and downs as it should be. Beautiful love scenes, beautiful sad scenes, some spicy scenes, just amazing overall. And it also sends a beautiful message about love, about what mariage means, and about the importance of accepting love, no matter how it comes.

That's why this series is amazing that it doesn't only revolved around the lgbtq+ community problems and issues (as well as in legal terms) but it also tackles topics and situations about sexism, misogyny/feminism, education, and status of life. THIS IS A HUNDRED BILLION OUT OF A HUNDRED!
I love Hia Lian and Nu Kuea narration on love at the end. I love how this BL series portrays the true meaning of Love and Equality beside the lovely storyline.

I love how CutiePie talks about the LGBTQ+ issues with a realistic type of view... most BLs are either "everyone is against it and everyone is shocked we are gay" or "living in a fantasy bubble where everybody is fine with it and society is suddendly okay with it even thought in reality our country is actually still pretty homophobic"... CutiePie is also the first series where they actually say "we know our society doesn't accept us yet, but we exist and we are fighting for our human rights and to be equal to the others" and I really love that bc it makes the series not be just another BL but a normal love story where the plot isn't about being gay but about the love story and trust.
