Ever since Lukas has returned, the Hogs have been awesome. The Ad's should have known better than to leave an empty net, heck, even our goalie gets a chance on them! While they weren't the ones who broke the winning streak, they DID break the home game winning streak, and then won against the team who did break the winning streak the next day. Keep it up guys, doing GREAT!

It’s fascinating to me that players like Pitlick and Seney blow it up in the AHL but can’t buy a goal let alone a point in the NHL.

I think a lot has to do with how they are played in the game. Paired up with certain other players they shine. Put on 4th string with others who are not that good can affect the player. I just think the Blackhawks weren't positioning Reichel where he is the strongest. His speed is something else and I noticed that Del Maestro is gaining speed to keep up with him, which has been my biggest complaint on Del Maestro, as he tends to lollygag when he should be on top of things, especially in the defensive zone where the opposite side is on top of him before he can get to the puck. He is good, but with some work on the speed side in defending, he can be much better.

@acdii blackhawks biggest blunder with Lucas is that he was doing all the right things was creating high danger chances and was 4th on the team for expected goals. Meaning he was eventually going to start getting rewarded for his hard work.....but for some reason the Hawks idiot coach killed that momentum by scratching him then moving him to less playing time which caused him to decline.

It's because the AHL is a tier below the NHL when it comes to talent. Seney and Pitlick are barely borderline NHLers. They are good, seasoned pros playing among prospects who are in various stages of learning the pro game, as well as pro who aren't good enough for the NHL of varying talents. The more-talented guys like them are going to "blow it up" against that.

@@Kartracer6Exactly! The Coaching on the BH suck. Soderblum did Great on the icehogs so they moved him to the NHL, he failed and the reason is because, like the Hogs, Defense SUCKED! It was a rookie goalie against an entire offensive with no defensive to back him up. It broke him, I could see it when he came back to the Hogs last season, his confidence was shot and it took quite a few games for him to find his place again, but again, defense sucked on the Hogs.
The past moth or so I watched the Defense start working they way it should. Del Maestro needs some more work in the defensive zone, needs to stop dilly dallying retrieving the puck, and keep his feet moving, but otherwise is doing exceptionally well. Allen and Kaiser are also picking up the defense and protecting the goal, when they can keep their sticks from putting it in, twice this season. Now that Guttman and Reichel are back, the team has really come together. Their plays the past few games has really worked out, something I believe was brought back from Reichels time in the NHL. Lets Go Hogs, Tik Tik Tik BOOM
