    Hi mam...very nice presentation...please make a video by using this fondant.
    Is there any difference between home made and store bought fondant? Shall we cover the whole cake with this home made fondant. Thanks in advance.

      Thank you. Yes Indhu, homemade fondant has less shelf life because we add no preservatives whereas the store bought fondants will have much longer shelf life because it has got preservatives in them. Also I'm planning to make a cake with fondants. Stay tuned😊

    • @HarinesCookbook-HarineBaburaj
      @HarinesCookbook-HarineBaburaj  Před 3 lety +1

      Hello! Use gel colors (has all the basics colors even the white and black color) If you're using liquid colors in your whipping cream, it will unstabilize the cream causing it to weep. Btw, which colors are you using?
      For black : Yellow, Blue and Red - each one drop
      For dark red - a drop of red in the black color

      After you coat your cake with whipping cream, leave it in the fridge overnight. (try using non dairy whipping cream, it'll be much stabler than the dairy ones) and then, the next day cover your cake with fondant. It'll not melt.

      Oh! Did you refrigerate your cake after frosting? If not, leave you whipped cream cake in fridge overnight and then cover it with fondant. It won't melt.

      @@ramyasowmiya751 I'll be making a whole detailed video on this. But as of now, it might be because of the weather too. So maybe I'll tell you a hack. Before placing the fondant over the whipped cream layer, melt chocolate bar/ chips with butter and make a chocolate ganache. Then once it's cooled cover the cake with ganache coating. Let it set in fridge for 15 - 20 minutes or until it's set. Now slightly dust some corn flour to one side of the fondant and stick it by applying little water on the ganache coating. This'll work. I sometimes recover my fondant cake by doing so! Also let me know how it goes.
