Iâm really happy they finally fixed NPCs joining conversations on dates and sims not autonomously eating food at restaurants. Although Iâm still waiting for the apartment wall bug, and weird pathing issues and the sims cue randomly deleting everything to get fixed.
Apartment walls drive me crazy! Itâs annoying enough in San Myshuno, I want to buy For Rent but the walls are so glitched that I donât even want to purchase it
That's one of the bigger reasons I stopped playing. There's some good other fixes as well, assuming they actually work of course which isn't exactly certain. It still feels like too late for a lot of these, ones that should have been fixed years back, not just for when they want to sell a new pack.

Honestly I get a gamebreaking bug at restaurants where the food just never comes when I'm going to one? All the NPCs get food and my Sims do not. They order fine and then just never get food. And the CarlsSims mod doesn't really help there at all
â@diminutiveb8109 it's not the actual walls but the doors. Rhe doors are never down and so are constantly up and blocking your visual inside the apartments and rentals units when playing in wall cutout mode and it's SO ANNOYING
The fixes give me some confidence that theyâll be able to stabilize the whole game and all of its packs. But Iâm still kind of wary because of the sheer number of bugs that they still have to fix

It's amazing what they can fix when they want to sell simmers a new pack. So many of these should have appeared years earlier. Yet, I can't deny that there's some good fixes in there, assuming they work of course which is far from guaranteed. Let's see how this patch goes.
Yeah but itâs been better than just releasing a broken pack and ignoring stuff they need to fix with the older packs they have done that a lot. So the fact they ate going back to old packs at all is a win.
@@horsegirl400 Yeah it's better and at least some stuff may potentially get fixed that has been around for awhile but it's a realy low bar to set. It may technically be better (and welcome) but I wouldn't call that a win, they are only doing it for this pack to benefit themselves.
The one about sims not interrupting on a date is the most important one to me. I hated send my sims on public dates cause too many people got in the way
I always send my sims to the park in Henford at night, as not too many sims come through there. Itâs honestly kinda creepy though; I wouldnât go on a first date to a deserted park in the middle of the night! đ
@Ikwigsjoyful tiny bit of creepiness might be useful if sims could cling to someone when they get scared. But since they can't I'll probably stick to home dates. Not a ton of fun but at least it's easier to control
The big bug for me that is really annoying, is that when I am looking in my sims family tree and noticed that all the past family members that are just gone. And mind you, I've never really played with big families for a long time, hell sometimes I just play for 1 or 3 gens that's it, but in MY personal gameplay, I'm on seven generations and noticed when going in the family tree that the older generations are disappearing, And I'm upset that is happening. I've looked this bug up too, and it has been a problem for a very long time, possibly when The Sims 4 launched for what I've seen from other people..
That probably has to do with culling. You can tweak it in MCCC iirc
I have an issue with a sim being glitched out when dying and I have to reset object the sim. After doing so I canât mark a grave for them or find them in the tree at all itâs like they disappeared from existence. Iâm just glad I use family echo so I already had her picture saved and ready to go
Wait, you get this too? Are you on a console or PC? I play on a PS4 and I have just randomly lost a lot of lots and households and older sims disappear. Luckily I have a bunch of backup save files but it's still irritating.
This JUST hsppened to me. I wonder if it messes up the achievements. I just hit 12 gen, getting the 10 gen unlocked, and BOOM - everyone above the latest grandparents GONE. Not even a photo or line to them.
Omg this literally happened to me recently too!! My Sim has no family anymore and doesnât have any relationships either. I donât have any mods or anything.
The locomotion fixes could be a sign of whatâs to come. Fixing the pathing for one mode of transportation makes paving the road for the next easier.

The wedding guests nit sitting on the ground is good. Last wedding I attempted, a guest sat right in the middle on the aisle and the wedding party wouldn't route around them.

I wish they'd made the aisles and the chairs almost one object and make it like a table where chairs slot in evenly at given points. If they ever do weddings again in a imaginary non-hellish Sims 5 I hope they try something like that. Or Paralives if it's good
I didn't played it yet, but if you want your Sims to sit, you need to make sure that you have enough chairs.
They just will stand up if there are no chairs.

Sims not part of the date joining my convos was really frustrating me yesterday bc both were flirty and other sims kept flirting with them despite my best efforts to separate them resulting in both sims getting mad and jealous i eventually just had all dates at my house just to save me effort. I love the new fixes that they r going to do and hope they stay on track with fixing more packs down the line

@@MidnightMuffin As nando said- it's a really good mod for relationships and childbirth that puts in a lot of realistic things like wanting or not wanting kids, more varied pregnancy symptoms and moodlets, birth control, and now stuff like open relationships and woohoo drive. There's also ways to discuss that stuff with partners. Though I'm suspecting that the latter stuff eventually might get changed due to the fact we're getting a 'canon' way to have an open relationship and maybe a throuple etc (you can already have more than one GF/BF though only one spouse so if we can opt out of jealousy it could work basically like it does in most countries where you can only legally marry one person but can have a wife and a GF etc)

@@hope.c9520 Probably still no but I mean there is a lot of really nice build buy and the wedding cakes look really nice with a lot of options there. Getting married at the townhall worked fine for me though and that's cute, though it's also something I think you could do base game in Sims 3.
And unfortunately it's not one of the more modded packs so even little tweaks like "I want to actually be able to get a drink from the toast bucket" isn't there. There was one interesting mod that at least assigned 'preferences' for different wedding traditions based on traits but it interfered with the ask about day conversation option. And getting everyone from one place to another is just really hard
I still can't have sims move in with each other unless I go to manage world and move sims in that way. I hate when I get the pop up with a Sim asking to move in and I have to hit no because it is a never ending screen. When I hit no, then they have that negative memory of being turned down. So frustrating.
Lets remember that many of these bugs should have been fixed YEARS ago, but I think its still a sign of goodwill that they're finally being adressed.

When the app isnât loading my game properly using task manager (Ctrl, alt, delete) and closing everything EA related always works

My EA App is working fine.
Idk if anyone else has this glitch but it makes me so mad. Iâll have a sim that had so much happen to them and as a result a lot of milestones (breakup, cheated on, died then came back to life, etcâŠ) but when I leave the game and come back, the only milestones that save are marriage, having kids, and job milestones. It basically makes all that drama pointless if the sim doesnât even remember it đ€·đŒââïž
a friendly tip for everyone, playing on speed 1 as often as possible helps with simulation lag and bugs relating to that. the game struggles when too many sims are trying to do things at once and keeping it slow gives the game more time to process everything it's trying to do. i also recommend hitting the escape key/viewing the menu for a few seconds whenever you get a lag spike; its more effective than just pausing.
It's working really fast for me, even with DX-9. đ I play always at normal speed, I pause when I need to, I don't like to waste In-game time.
Just when my Sims go to bed or do something that takes too much time, then I double speed it, and it works just fine for me. đ

Bwahaha, I will believe it when I see it. They claimed they fixed the black photograph bug years ago and yet it's been coming up again any time you put photos into storage, which totally killed five hours of progress and photoshoots with one of my saves. That was last summer, and I stupidly believed them that it was fixed and dozens of photos were ruined and I couldn't get them back. I haven't updated since November because of the increasing game breaking "patches" they've been releasing. I may be stuck with the three-person-only holidays but I haven't had any new instability since then.
My photos turn black too, especially after any patch update, but I always update my game, I just don't take photos anymore. I still hope they fix it, I'm still playing.

Dream home decorator doesnât allow jobs to be finished properly, I would love for that to be fixed as itâs the only feature on the game that allows building as part of official gameplay!!

They need to fix the roof issue for for rent. Cant place a roof on any building of someone lives on the lot, makes tiny town challenge a pain. Having to move everyone out then back in then having to be each perwon to put back everything back into their houses
Would be cool if they fix it and make the roofing system much better, as roofs that clip through walls are not real.
The roofs should be more flexible and customizable. There should be more options to design the roofs the way you want them to look like.
I ran into this problem a ton, the only thing I've found that works for me is going into lot editing mode from the map, and I just do my roofs and stairs through there to avoid the moving hassle
i just wish other sims would stop making de stress potions at the grills.

The werewolf sweater fix is actually my favourite part, cause that sweater in it's light pink and yellow swatch is literally my favourite top in the whole game, and that arm glitch has been bugging me ever since the pack came out.

I'd like sims at my wedding to not do push ups in the aisle and then start showing other sims what's on their phone.
All that would take is some sort of âfocus attention to wedding arch during ceremonyâ type code that overrides those autonomous desires during the exchange vows interaction. Iâm clearly not a coder, but i canât see why that should be so hard.

Nice to see quite a few very longstanding bugs on the laundry list for once - eg Cottage living, Dine Out and Highschool years. However, I'd be a little concerned by the lack of for rent fixes as I feel like that really glitched building/moving across worlds and even corrupted certain lots. But then I'm not playing much nor going to be buying the new pack to see it get worse. The price of EP went up in my country and there is no way it's ever going to be value for money at that cost even if miraculously EA were to up their game suddenly with Lovestruck.
Not sure if this is a bug but I hate when my sim goes jogging and when they are finish change into their normal clothes. Birthdays make me sick! We need a come celebrate interaction where all sims on the active lot will come and sing and cheer for the birthday sim! Like in the sims 3. The current interaction all calls sims that is close to the cake at the time. So many sims miss out đą
I wish they would post maybe the top errors under consideration with some sort of live list with a rating of how complicated they think it will be to fix (like clipping and categorization fixes are probably easier than things like lag which are probably a combination of many factors) and maybe some sort of count of how many people have identified it as an issue. I totally understand how hard it is to have a backlog and to communicate that you can't do everything at once but I feel like they could be more open about it sometimes.
Still I'm glad that we are getting an update. I'm looking forward to the trailer and hope it will be promising, this is still up there with packs I might get right away just bc romance and dating are such common things in the Sims gameplay and it's something that could factor into many households (since teens can build the Romance skill I want to see what kinds of stuff you can do with that- I like the idea that if you date in high school you'll be more experienced than someone who waits until after college and if you date a lot you might be better at knowing how to woo people and play the dating game).

Yes the multiple sims joining private conversations. Yes please fix that. Drove me crazy to the point where I don't even send my Sims on dates anymore.
I want the garden bug fixed. When I leave my lot the next time I take care of my sheltered garden it all gose back to dirt piles

Not this time, unfortunately. That is probably my most annoying bug at the moment, since I play a lot of farmers/gardeners. So frustrating to be working from home as a gardener, get the work order to âharvest a plant,â and then go outside to find that all of your plants that were filled with harvestables at 6am reverted to dirt piles at 7 and now youâre stuck looking for plants in the wild or getting an incomplete for your work day.

It's the "skinny dip with..." option. If there are no other sims around, you shouldn't have the option to skinny dip with another sim.

Glad to see the Make a Move bug is being fixed with married sims in CAS you made. I can only assume that will fix fiancees in cas as well. This bug happens on consoles and pc's and with or without mods. It's been around since the base game.
Will they ever fix the music compositions resetting to zero if the Sim leaves the lot? I was trying to finish the teenagers challenge with the boy being in music. He needed to write 4 songs. Well, with school, it resetted all the time. Then I tried to have him write during the weekend, sent the dad to the gym. Resetted the progress. Ended up changing my teenâs aspiration but he only has 3 days before aging up and an entire aspiration tree to go through. Argh.

My current really bad bug problem is that most of my sims will not level up in their careers. They will be almost to the max level and I will continue to do the daily tasks and yet they still wonât advance.
My tenants are still not paying rent :( Not Wednesday. They do break my 2 rules so I collect around 600$ from them but it's not fun that I'm still affected by this bug. I thoght it was fixed

Now this IS good news! I hope we get to see some of the more important/annoying bugs fixed soon too (gardening for example). I'm very excited to see what comes out of this new team next. It may even put me back on to spending money on the game again... I'll have to wait and see though.
Has anyone else been having a bug where if your trying to talk to certain sims they'll just cancel all your interactions listed and stand there doing nothing for a minute and then leave?? its been very annoying for trying to speedrun a date lol
Thatâs kind of like me having to actually make my sims sit down at the computer before you give them the action, cause otherwise theyâll just cancel it.
Now if only they could fix the problem in dine out where sims keep randomly switching seats while they're supposed to be eating and having a conversation during a date/event.

Ooh, I like fixes! I have a lot of the ones they listed. However, I will not feel warmly towards EA until my game is playable again, and that will take way more than one patch
I'm super happy that they're fixing the NPCs joining your conversation while on a date! That has been an issue since the base game came out! There used to be a mod to get rid of them, but it's been gone for a few years. I normally use MCC "Make Sim Leave."
I also wish they'd fix sleeping after woohoo in bed.
I'm surprised they're fixing some Dine out bugs, but not dates not working on restaurants at all, since the dating pack is coming out đ€
Right now if you ask someone out on a date, you can't select a restaurant, and if you get invited onto a date at a restaurant, your date and the date event will disappear.

I know it'll be hell on modders, but I think sims devs should line up major fix patches twice a year with smaller fix patches coming every three months. THAT way major bugs don't continue to get worse and snowball into bigger issues, and the smaller ones can get fixed BEFORE they snowball too. But, its EA, and EA doesn't care THAT MUCH about the sims either soo đ€·đŒ
This week I found out that there are some oversized crop fertilizers that can't be used because there is no code written for them. I also can't finish any Hendford quests that include giving food to townies and can't submit pies to the contests. Because apparently I have a bug where I can't give cooked food. How fun.
I tried to do the mountain climbing expedition and the event is completely bugged, kicked me all the way out of my house and back to the map and wouldn't load back into my sim without a hard restart of the game

When Im doing the Not So Berry challenge and Rose's first wedding there is no call of wedding button which wasnt a problem before I owned Wedding Stories so I had to cheat her status and relationship with the guy to pretend I could mark off that bit of criteria, keeping the MCCC mod permanently on hand just in case now, and her second wedding the couple couldn't cut the cake because some hungry strangers walked into the venue and saw the cake.
Funny that certain things only get fixed when they eventually interfere with a new pack coming out...đ€
This is a good list of fixes and Iâm really glad theyâve upped their game on bug fixes. Iâm also pleased to see them acknowledge there are bugs that need more looking at because most of my bugs are not the current laundry list. Fingers crossed for apartment walls!

I've experienced many of the glitches being fixed in this list. I hope they work and don't get undone by the next parch.
So far none of the fixes are issues i experienced so while im happy they are fixing things, i wish they would make MWS actually function

I hope they fix the bug where you move lots with your cows. I moved to a bigger lot and I got the message that I don't own my cow anymore. I couldn't clean it or milk it...
I can't wait for my Sims to eat the meal they ordered from an expansion pack I purchased back in 2016. Wow, thank you Sims team! Maybe in another 10 years we'll get to play an actual, functioning wedding too. Now that'd be something.

I wish they would fix more the gamepaly affecting things, like bicycling (for example in Foxbury when they get the bike out for travelling to stairs near by and everywhere cycling inside house). Whole cycling thing is bugged! Also sim made objects disappearing, currently my robotics station loses all cleaning robots they made and the whole table is unusable after that - can't even delete or store the station anymore. Debugging object won't help. Cats get in the counters and my sims make food on top of them, once they use knives it makes this bug awful đ

yes, I remember that playthrough too, it made Bridesmaids look sane. I felt so bad for you, but I felt worse for the sim bride.
The Hot Springs didn't get fixed that came with Snowey Escape. Sims still can't do romantic interactions in them cause of a routing issue. The cue just cancels out.
I'm surprised they didn't fix these issues, as well as other potential issues related to woohoo, romantic and to the Romantic Garden Pack.

So... I've been away from the game for about a year. Yes... I know... as a Sims player/builder it's probably considered a sin to stay away for so long but the past year has been pretty hectic. After spending a day and a half finding the two mods causing Last Exceptions, I started playing.
I actually thought that while I was away, they had fixed Dine Out. My Sim and his sweetheart went out on a date to a restaurant. I fully expected the usual chaos... but nope. They were seated promptly, neither one of them got up from the table to wander around, no one butted in to ruin their conversation, their food was brought to their table with no delays, they both ate their meals, drank their beverages and had a wonderful time animatedly talking to each their through the entire meal. I literally ordered their meal and didn't have to do anything else after that except sit back and watch. I was pleasantly shocked. And no... I don't have Carl's mod.
Now... what I DID notice about the game was the roofs when I was building a park for my sims. Tired of taking my sims to parks that had hardly anything for them to do in good weather and nothing for them to do in the rain, I set to giving them a park they could have great fun in no matter the weather.
When did roofs start clipping through walls? I was putting a roof over a porch and to my surprise, it was clipping through the walls on the rooms on the upper floor. I have a lot of builds in my gallery that I have shared, and now I'm worried that a lot of them are ruined or unplayable. As I said before I use mods, but for the life of me I can't think of a single one that would mess up building. So, I'm just curious as to when that particular glitch started to show up or if this is just happening to me.
I would love if they start updating the packs to include more swatches, items from CAS and Build mode. It's not like you didnt pay for the pack, so having some updates and fixes (specially the swatches) would be handy and can improve the games content.
The only real issue I'm having is whenever my sims take photos with (camera, phone or photobooth) I'm unable to save and get error code 0. It will literally delete a whole save file. So my sims can not take photos and leave my family homes looking bare. I can't even play with dream home decorator career.
I would like to buy this pack but I can't even open my EA app right now and I have not been able to for 2 days

Happy to see they are fixing so much but I am still having the loading screen crash issues. In fact, after the last patch it is happening so much it making some of my save files unplayeble... Why not fix that one?
Remember the videos where someone reads The Sims 3's patch notes and can't stop laughing? Someone should do that with The Sims 4.
I feel like I don't play the game enough to notice all these bugs. And it's crazy how much there is.
I'm sooooooo tired of updating all my mods lol It's the most frustrating part of these updates and DLCs. I have so many. It doesn't take super long, but it takes TOO long still lol
Im so happy for the Top notch toddler traits and the sneak out to party bugs being fixed... those two were freezing my progression in game for so long...
I'm glad they are fixing the game. I just think that there's something behind them all of sudden fixing it. Maybe a possible lawsuit cause of how people spend their money only just to have a non working game?!

DId they already fix the residental rental bug that corrupts save files? I've placed some in my save file but haven't played on them at all because i don't want my save to corrupt.
