- This video is about this Ted Baker bag that was a regret for me. However, it's a great lunch bag for when you go to school/college or work! In this video I give you a little review on the bag and my own experience with it. I hope you enjoy. Let me know what you think of this bag. Do you have the same issue?

You should open and put something more heavy like books at the beginning it helps to open it up I did that and I still use my bag
yeah that's what i did! It opened after a long time trying, but I have to say, it is still very rigid! not a huge fan of it :(
Use a hairdryer to soften the plastic to open it up once it is open add towels or something to keep its shape I have several of these bags and they all come packed flat. I find the small perfect for lunch

i put some books in mine and used a hair dryer to heat up the material and it worked for me it's really big on the inside now
This bag seems good to be used in corona virus new norm era. Easy to desinfect and easy to grab something as well. Less touch, and less work to do the laundry.

Just wanted to point out that Ted Baker, along with other brands, are packed during shipping. Chances are you didn’t get the floor model? When you look at the floor model it clearly doesn’t look like that, or represent the floor model in stock. Most importantly, when purchasing mid-level luxury bags, and luxury bags, they are all packed and shipped the same. What you need to do is roll up some 1) towels, 2) a blanket (depending on the size of the bag, and this includes leather and canvas. You place them in the bag for 24-48 hours so that it can fill in form.) Most people, including myself, want a “fresh/new” bag from the “back”. It’s simple, buy the bag, fill it as aforementioned and your bag will be just fine! This is common knowledge in the retail world, or for those who purchase mid-high level cost brand bags. I’ve had the same problem with LV/Goyard. Depending on the material/use, your bag will fold… That’s the honest truth! I keep my bags filled (given space/use). And I’ve NEVER had a problem 👍
Maybe I did not get a floor model! That’s maybe it.. I don’t know. but it’s overall very rigid like the handles are as well. Not just the bag itself. So I did not expect it.
Anyways as I say in my other videos I have been using it a bit lately , just not a fan of this bag! I prefer other brands like Coach or Kurt Geiger
I totally disagree. I love the bag so much, the bottom can be opened wide but you didnt do it, hence could not fit your stuffs in. The bag looks fantastic when carried in the summer.

Just be aware of materials used. If you’ve just stored the bag and never used it then yes it’s gonna stick. Also the icon bag is cheap for premium brand. The icon bag is literally the cheapest bag offered by Ted Baker. 🤦♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️

Anyone has one, use a hair dryer on a warm setting to reshape and open, it will keep the shape and soften up the more you use it
Exactly! And if it’s warm outside, it will shape up on its own. I have an entire collection of these and LOVE them! ❤
I own three and. Yes, you are correct. Just heat it up and enjoy.
Mine is fine and fits everything in even when I first got it but it’s the bigger one but the small ones you just have to wear it a few times bc I used to have it and then it was fine
Hi dear I hve the same bag but it's really nice. When u buy it comes flat but u need to open side by side so once u open it remain in the shape like others bag..

I got the grey large one of this it came the same way so I just put some weights inside to flatten it out and it’s still useable

Are you serious just flatten the bottom maybe stuff it for a while. You can see that all you have to do is push the bottom. Surely.

One part of the handle strap broke.. I don't know if can use hot glue to attach it back....

Bought a larger version of this in London last year, June 2019...mint green in colour. I wanted to laugh so hard because I can relate to this video😂
I could hardly hang the straps on my shoulder because they’re really stiff, they hurt. Could hardly open the bag too, so I share the exact same sentiments😅 It’s frustrating to be honest. Used only once and has been kept since then🤦🏻♀️

Use a hair blow dryer on the bag to soften it and open it. Once open, leave standing in an unfolded position.
Blowdry again and fold before storing
I honestly love ted baker everything i got it from their last a long time without breaking I dont know this is my opinion and the stuff from their is soooo cute

The handle on mine snapped it's holding on by a whistle strap of materal I love the bag sm I just don't know how to fix the strap

Never had any problems with mine
I have the large pink bag, absolute nightmare so stiff and rigid. Ive tried lining both sides with stiff cardboard to try and keep the shape but you simply cannot access your contents without slicing into your arm. I am so dissappointed in it, it was a gift and I absolutely loved it when I received it, using the bag is another issue. Im thinking it might do better as a beach bag as the heat will improve it.

How can I soften it? It’s so rigid I agree! 😂 it’s pretty but I barely use it due to the material being uncomfortable on my shoulders
I unfortunately do not know how to soften it. I don't use it anymore as it is so rigid :( some people in the comments gave their tips (put the bag in the sun, somewhere warm, to soften it...etc), maybe try that?
Use a hairdryer to heat the bag than it will become soft and you can shape it however you want.
Omg like seriously I was about to listen to you but as soon as you showed the bag without effort to push the bottom down and still tried to stuff your phone and purse like that its so amateur of you. You need to push the bottom down with heavy books maybe and the it bill break in to its correct shape. If you don't know how to use it don't put the product down. It's a beautiful bag and serves the purpose for what it is. I have a few of these and absolutely love them!

As I explain in the description of the video, that you should read, I now in 2022, managed to open it but sold it cause the quality is not good at all :) personal experience but still valid! It's actually a cute bag, it eventually softens when you use it a couple of times. Your meant to flatten the bottom and is meant to be a carry all shopping bag. I use it when I'm using my small Marc Jacobs Snapshot and need to bring few more stuff with me.

Try to put small rolled towels inside the bag for a few days, that pressure to adapt to that new shape. I’m sorry if I didn’t explain well, I’m from Spain 🤭🙂

sweetylovespastels hey! Thanks so much for watching! Well yeah, unfortunately it is very hard to open them. I finally managed after a long time but now it’s impossible to close haha! So it’s suuuuper rigid. I do not personally recommend . However go in stores if you have one nearby to see how they actually are in person ❤️❤️
I think your supposed to store it stuffed with something though? And you can get a support panel for the bottom of it
Yeah I have been doing just that and it worked but it's just inconvenient! However i have to say the bag is very cute
The bag is like 50 dollars, it's obviously plastic and stuff. But it looks gorgeous, been thinking of getting one for a while haha

Yommycrochetlogy as i mentioned on Facebook , i would not recommend it if you expect to wear it as a bag for everyday etc . It’s perfect for like a lunch bag or beach bag but otherwise it’s waaaay too rigid and I personally still struggle opening it 😂😂🙈💕 thanks so much for watching!!

The shop assistant told me to take my hairdryer and dry it make it warm so it is easier to open it up and not break it. You have to heat it up.....and than its easy to use. I just ordered mine in pink larger shopper. It rains here a lot and makes it easy to use hahahah.

I did this! And it worked. I can’t believe my TB is super soft and easy to use now. Earlier I couldn’t even open it without using excessive strength. Imagine!
I got mine from a physical store and it comes flat but youre meant to push out the sides from the inside and then you can push out the bottem and it opens it up, it reqires a little bit lf strength and maybe even a hairdryer but its really not that hard to open it just seems like you didnt really even try

I agree I have bigger version of this plastic bag and it does not hold its shape. Although I have other non plastic but same look like which are very very good hold. I love them as they are non leather and good price for brand name. This plastic product actually goes so well with Ted baker makeup case and they all sold out!!!!

mine was stuffed with cardboard to keep it open. just stuff with card board and tissue paper

Got mine from someone throwing away because they were warped, i assumed maybe it had been sitting in a hot trunk of car... Didnt know they come this way... I was going to use hairdryer but they seemed to correct them self 😅❤

Put something in the bag to stretch the bottom open. Like a shoe or a few books. It will stay open after you do this.
Hair dryer softens it to open it and be able to use it x I’ve been using these for years x

I agree, Ted Baker bags are too hard pvc.
Honestly it doesnt matter how much you heat it- i stuffed mine in litres of boiling water, it momentarily deforms then when its cold again it becomes rigid and hella uncomfortable to have on your arm. Feels like it will scratch you! This bag is way too much micromanagement to keep its shape and I'm pretty sure if I left it on tarmac in dubai weather it won't shape the handle back ergonomically, it's just legit uncomfortable to carry on one's shoulder

You should have things in the bag 99% of the time, I think the bag gets the shape with the stuff you carry around. Idk, I ordered a bucket bag from them (soooo gorgeous - can't wait to get it!!) and a small shopper bag Geeocon which I saw in one video review and thought it's great for grocery shopping or for my dance classes. Unfortunately. you didn't like yours, it happens. People can dislike and like different thigns, duh, haha. Thanks for your review though! :)

I have a ted baker bag like this and love it, give it a chance, flatten the bottom. I carry my dogs water, his lunch and small first aid kit. My coin purse, iphone11 pro max so a large phone, my gloves and water in a 750ml bottle. Plenty of space xx

Yeah I like it too when I need an extra bag to carry other non essential with me, I usually have a small bag for everyday use so this Ted Baker bag comes in handy and it looks cute
i have it in baby blue n it looks more awful now bc i have it thrown in my wardrobe for months now lol ... it's impossible to handle fr i went out with it once and never again despite sadly being a birthday present from an expensive place :
Take a hairdryer heat it up and it will make it easier to make it. You can shape it with the heat. I do it too. Its flat now but I just heat it and make it the shape I want. Just a bit of patience and all your stuff can go back in it :)

I only have that bag unfortunately! But of what I’ve seen in stores they look great and the quality seems totally fine. This particular bag in the video is made of plastic so it’s rigid but their bag packs should be fine! 😍

I have to disagree with you :). The bag is plastic to begin with, so don’t expect a leather quality. What I hate about it is a plastic smell. But I do like it’s reinforced strong. Also I can’t really call it a bag, I have a small one in black and use as a supplement just to throw some things like launch, snack, etc. But I wouldn’t use it alone as a bag, and it’s impossible to keep on shoulders. If you get a large one than it’s better to use alone

Hi, for the size inside the bag what I like to do is put a few books at the bottom to press the bottom flat I have had to do this with all of my Ted baker bags and it has worked because it is annoying!! Btw I have the exact same bag as you and it is hard to match with clothing so I do regret buying it for that reason. Thanks for the video anyway!💗

Bad! i have one i gray but it’s easily get stain i will not recommend this material!
does every ted baker product is this stiff, got a long wallet many years ago, I give up using it after a while, the designer seems like didn't put much thought into practicality. Will not buy Ted baker stuff again
