    From my experience, any stuff titled with candle or soap is expensive. Like candle jar, or pot for melting wax, frosted amber glass for candle etc. Then I search the same product with different tittle, ex minimalist glass jar and milk jug for barista (instead of jug to melt candle). The price is much cheaper and they're same! 😀

      Winner of a video, been searching for "how much fragrance oil do you put in soy candles?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Panlijah Inconceivable Position - (should be on google have a look ) ? It is an awesome one of a kind guide for discovering how to become a candle making master and turn a profit minus the headache. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my buddy got excellent results with it.

      @@MemoryBoxCandleCo it just crumbles a little on the sides, but when I’ve bought melts made from other wax blends, they seem to pop out a little cleaner. I wondered if it’s because I’m using soy, but then when I watched one of your videos, yours seemed to come out of the clamshells cleaner and I know you’re using soy. I wondered if it had anything to do with pour temperature? Also, I just came across the hexagon mold from candle science this morning, and I think I might use that to do individual melts! I’ve found when I use dye chips or liquid dye, it’s much darker in the pot when it’s in liquid form. Putting a drop on a white surface such as a paper towel, wax paper or parchment paper, it’s much lighter and will show you what the end result will be. I find myself adding about 3 more times to get the color I want 😜

      @@MemoryBoxCandleCo I think the spam thing has to do with how many people I follow across several genre's. Unfortunately, I have 3 businesses and I try to support quite a few platforms. This is a first time hearing that, so I'll check my end. Thanks for letting me know. If I get out of line kick me a note, lol. I try to be helpful, but I can be strong worded on occasion. That's from being a nurse. We're all bossy!

    Very easy system- just curious though is there a way to use the pot with the spout to pour directly into the container and then add fragrance oil? Do you always have to use the pouring pitcher? Have you made tealights? Thanks again for breaking down the science of it- always the most complex part for me to comprehend.

      As in pouring the wax directly into the candle
      Jar? I wouldn’t recommend 💜 I like pouring it into the pitcher to mix in the FO before pouring into the jar :)

      Well when it heats up all the wax melts so it won’t clog ☺️

    Hi there! I am in the beginning stages of my candle business-basically just have customers from my co workers. Can you talk about how the wax melter does near the bottom/end of the wax? Does it just end up being wasted/is there a way to salvage if the wax melter does not get all the wax out?

    • @lhodgens
      @lhodgens Před 3 lety +1

      You either add wax or put on some oven gloves and pour it from the top. Super simple. You can leave the cooled wax inside the pot until you're ready to use it again.

    Hi! So I was using the same container wax as you (soy #10) and California Candle supply has been out of stock for a while. I was wondering if you have found any similar waxes because the soy #10 has worked the best for me.

    Maybe I missed it (twice lol) but what is the temp you added the FO to the wax? And does the pouring temp just need to be anything below 160? Im about to use this same wax for the first time and reeeeaaally don't want to screw it up right off the bat.. lol Also thank you so much for making all your super helpful videos for us newbies, your my go to girl 😁🌸

    • @MemoryBoxCandleCo
      @MemoryBoxCandleCo  Před 3 lety

      This is how I do everything with soy 10:
      I work at pretty high temps. I heat to 200, add FO between 185-190, stir for about 30 seconds and then pour right after (I’m assuming the temp is around 170 at this point)
      You may need to adjust but I hope that helps!
