- On February 10, 2012, former Monkee Davy Jones called into Jimmy Dee's morning show for a chat. Nobody could have imagined that less than 3 weeks later, he'd be gone. R.I.P. Davy.

No doubt! Now Peter and Mike are gone also. No more Monkee business. It's over.
Monkees put recently put out an album and are doing a tour. But they are not the real Monkees without the late great Davy Jones. He seemed like a genuine nice guy, definetly my favorite Monkee.

Did you notice that Davy Jones was never a buffoon like the way Willie Gilligan/Bob Denver was even in Gilligan's Planet cartoon series? Willie Gilligan wouldn't be a buffoon anymore if he ever met him. 😳
Jimmy Dee was the last Dj Live to interview him before he passed away..
Definitely one of the last. This was a few weeks before he passed. There was at least one radio interview after this one.

There has never been a Gilligan's Planet comic book issue that shows the castaways who finally meet the Monkees on this distant planet. 😀
Sounds so full of life - oh what a shame - I loved Davy Jones and the Monkees - my heart goes out to his family.
I'll be seeing the Monkees perform in Tulsa this year in August........hard to believe Davy is gone....especially after listening to this interview. He sounded so full of life and had so much more left to do. I guess a higher power had bigger and better plans for him. Without a doubt....he will be missed. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
My God, listen to him rattle off all his personal appearances!!! His mind was still clicking on all eight...But how did he keep up that pace, with the jet-lag and the jumping around from city to city, and between continents, too?? That would wear out a superhero, never mind a 66-yr-old 5'3" guy...And he did have chest pains, but thought they were just indigestion!!! Why was no one aware (the doctors said he was fine)???

@JanetCoop you are so right with everything you say - so hARD to think how alive he was listening to this and then so shortly afterwards he is gone. So sad hearing him talk about the plan for his church and the plan for the next reunion (which I would have gone to, not being able to go to last years's) so wonderful having him in our life and now I still cant believe he is gone. and he will be missing his daughter's wedding in June too. Loving you Davy and missing you
Poor Talia... Having her wedding withut Dad there :( I grieve terribly for him, but his daughters must be cut so deep.
its so hard listening to this, cos he is rattling off dates when he will be appearing and another monkees tour in the summer of 2013 and he is soo alive and the wedding of Talia.... but how different just a few short weeks later....... how it all changed. sob sob sob sob,,,,, still sobbing

I didn't bring this to Davy Jones' attention. I'm someone who's a bad seed as well. Who else was a bad seed besides me? This former child actress: Patricia McCormick was the same thing as me. She was definitely a bad seed. Except for one thing, what I didn't know was that she was demon-possessed. You didn't see her making faces in front of the camera. This clearly reveals that she was. What's the in-your-face surprise? Arnold Schwarzenegger has judged this child actress by race, gender, and nationality origin, and disability. He typically skips out religion. Even though she has won certain awards from Hollywood, CA. We'll best know her from playing the role as Rhoda the neighborhood bully in the Tiny Toons cartoon series. Patricia McCormick was a bad seed back in the Carefree 50s movement. 🏆 🥇 🏅 🏆
