I miss the N64 so much. I truly loved that console. I loved the wow factor of playing in 3D for the first time. It was the first console that I was old enough to have a job and buy it with my own money, which makes me love this console more.
I remember having that red system he got I have N64 black version I play it when my Xbox downloading
Wish Microsoft could have clear systems
I had an original black N64 when I was a kid, I’m not sure if I still have it somewhere. My dad got me an ice blue one when I was a kid, because my old one had controller reading problems, even if you had a controller in, sometimes it wouldn’t read it.
I got my first Donkey Kong 64 set on its release date on November 22, 1999 and 20 and half years later I still have it and the cartridge is faded and still works!

Me too! My controller no longer works though. The dk64 cartridge is still good though.

I’ve never seen one of those little tools for lifting out the expansion pack, that just blew my mind 😂

I have this version of the N64 back in the day and I remember the the jumper pak and removal tool was included and seeing this video brings back so many memories and good times.

Those tools were really useful and it came also by its box when you bought the Expansion Pak separatedly
Could've also been added to the retail game version box where the exp pak was added to the cartridge
As a funny fact it wasn't the first time Nintendo released an removal tool for console accessories
Rembember Mario Paint in Bigbox for Super Nintendo it had a weird looking tool for removing the ball that's inside the Mouse controler leaving a lot of people never having heard of or seen it before

I almost forgot how 90's everything looked back in the day, also the iMacs and iBooks, backpacks, shoes, everything was colourful transparent
Now we just got solid colors and it's getting boring..I wanna see the guts
The tool comes with the package I remember opening one when I was a wee tot and man the nostalgia
My DK64 set came with the regular expansion pac and the tool as well when we bought it in 1/2000.
Watching this as I just managed to score a Jungle Green N64, Expansion Pack and Mario Party 3 for $40. Need the controller and DK64!

The N64 Jungle Green looks neat! I remember playing Donkey Kong 64 back in the day. If only we could get more 3D Platformers in this current gen.

Looking at you unbox that brings back so much memories. I remember I was 5 when my parents bought this for me at our local walmart. I still have the jungle green system to this day but unfortunately by parents threw away the box and everything inside when I was like 10.

If I remember correctly mine did come with the jumper pack and the ejector tool.
The last funtastic color I need. I think I’m holding out for a boxed version of this. Your box is in great shape, minus the sides.
Tip: if you want to remove jumper or expansion pak but have no tool, use the clip that goes above it and pry it

It came with the jumper pack installed The expansion pack was In the bag that you have the jumper pack And tool in Yours is 100% complete And they did seal the boxes At the factory Had the same Box set when it was new back in 1999
I would imagine the Jumper Pak is included as some games had a few issues. Forcing modes, rsolutions that may or may not be wanted. It rules out any issues of compatibility and allows the machine to be standard. Also the machine got all its safety tests and certificates as the base machine with Jumper Pak and perhaps could be an issue. The optional extra Expansion Pak is a Expansion and not a standard. I suppose it also gives the illusion of being a upgrade and extra item in the bundle.

I have the controller. Mint condition just doesn’t work. The expansion pack that came with dk64 and the game itself. The n64 is so cherished for me i loved that little thing.
9:20 this type of cable also works for a Super Nintendo
And a GameCube
Some of these are from the US set and some are from the Canadian one. I got the Canadian one on my birthday which was a few days after release. All of the bags for the cables were blue like on the controller except for the System and Controller bags with the warnings. Also Canadian systems have a set of serial number ranges you can check to see if the box is for this actual system. In Canada this set was sold exclusively through Toys r us on launch btw. Same with the Pikachu N64 Variant. Also the Banana controller is not complete without it's cover in either yellow or green.

I had this exact system and spent many hours playing it with a lot of the different popular games
When I got my dk64 set brand new from Target, it came with the regular jumper pack installed with the expansion pack in the styrofoam. I had to install it after unboxing it.

It is good that you have included the Junper pack and the Expansion pack. With many games there was a choice of whether you want to play with the expansion pack in a better resolution or with the jumper pack in a better frame rate. A few games are also not at all compatible with the jumper pack for example spacestation silicon valley
First complete set I've had and still remember when I got it and when we first try it with my brother and cousins and how we had no idea what to do in the game 😅 then many years after someone lost it and when I started collecting once I got a job, this was what I gave me for birthday.
We played through about 75 percent of the game and I went back years later and couldn’t even find out where to go for the next level lol.

I got this as a kid. I remember that it comes with the jumper pack and you have to remove it and install the expansion pack. I remember this because me and my dad tried to play donkey Kong and we had to figure out how to switch them

This is the system I have but did not keep the box unfortunately. Something didn't think of back in the day, saving boxes. I still have the actual system and cart.

I have always been a massive Nintendo fan and for so long I had always wanted a 64, my dad had one back in the day and traded it in for the GameCube, he had every game imaginable! I had always wanted to experience the Nintendo 64 and that’s when I got my crap together and my dad helped me bid on a gold controller limited edition pal console, the 64 is probably my favourite system, and I hope to collect all of the controllers someday, but now that I think about, I’d also love to get some of the console variants too such as this one! Awesome video!

It really matches my custom DK64 designed RPG console
The green console seems a bit odd for me because I refer that game highly to bananas that I like to eat and them in yellow condition for the sake ;)
I love to add the yellow Game controler to mine but mine is missing the specific design additions
The little package plastic bags are a nice detail addition to any set

The expansion set along with the tool were included with mine as well. However, the bag for them in mine was blue for some reason.
I had this set and box in PAL european version, i kept the box for a while then i trew it away, cause i had not much space for it, back in the year 2000.
i have got many n64 consoles too, but i will play dk64 only on my jungle green, this console with the yellow collectors edition and yellow controller looks amazing 😍

I'm happy I got a refurbished 64(came with expansion pack already in) & solar panels..now I can play Mario In the mountains and there's a video where a guy takes the old systems apart and makes a clear case for them.
Had this one for probably 15 years, gave it to my sister in law to use and she sold it smh …. We got this exact console for Christmas in 99, literally my favourite Christmas memory. This is still my favourite console ever
I won this as a kid from the Donkey Kong Lunchables. It’s the only thing I ever won in my life. I wish my Dad could of paid storage cause if he could of I’d still have it today. Along with all my original Pokémon cards.

My Walmart Exclusive SNES Control Set box is beat up and ripped too but near mint condition on the inside with the original baggies

I remember getting this exact console for christmas when it came out. I wish i had kept the box preserved. The box alone is selling for like $600 on ebay lol. I cant recall entirely but im pretty sure they did include the tool to lift out the expansion pack tho

I love Donkey Kong 64 to death.
And I got lucky getting my DK Banana Controller for $180 US earlier this year. the prices vary pretty wildly. But if you look at completed auction the prices are all over the place.
I think the banana tips being mint change the price a lot too

At the trade center where I live ( it’s kinda like a place where you buy little trinkets,food and old things) anyway the n64 where I live the green one is there and and a bunch of games are there like mortal kombat trilogy Mario for the n64 and Pokémon yellow so I’m buying it

I heard DK64 needs the expansion pak because Rare couldn't fix a bug to make it work without it. There's a video about on YT somewhere but I forgot the source.

hey lithium, im confused about your collection display. do you have the n64 consoles CIB and then another one of them loose fight next to them or is it an empty box with the manual and inserts and styrofoam next to the actual console?
The consoles are pulled out of the boxes for display so the boxes beside them are empty apart from the styrofoam and instructions

I have a question. So I went to a video game store and they had this n64 with the funtastic series 2 design (white bottom) but it had this bright green top instead of red or blue. Is this Offical?
White bottom with a green top is not official. Some of the white bottom blue top have fading which can make it look more green
I have a quick question, you said you don’t want to have different color flaps my clear blue n64 has grey flaps and a grey bottom is there a problem with it? It plays American and Japanese games btw

I bought a third party n64 controller from a pawn shop brand new was in a box and the stick and buttons felt very stift and almost too tight. Is that normal?
3rd party N64 Controllers are notoriously bad. The best controller to get other than the official one is a Hori Mini Pad. They have a GameCube like thumbstick and will last a lifetime, but they are expensive
How about the pricing for a brand new never open VGA graded?
So rare and tough to gauge without many of them out there. Likely closer to $2000
