    Thanks! I took you pro maintenance class back in June at Prime 1. Biggest mistake I’ve ever made was leaving Prime. I hope to be back soon

    My trainer never not one time drained his tanks. I need to do them on a regular basis. I usually forget for 3/4 days at a time. I didn’t even know they had to be drained since I wasn’t shown by him

    Just started my lease beginning January. I was the only one in class new years. Don't even have to remove that body panel. Just reach in and pull. Easy

    I usually just set tractor brake when I park, do I have to set both (tractor & trailer) before draining tanks? By the way I see to cords but only one of them pulls the other one doesnt wanna pull..it is a 2024 peterbilt

      @PRIMEINCTRUCKING  Před 4 měsíci

      it should be right underneath the filter housing or on the fuel line coming out of the filter, it should be close. I would contact RA with more questions on your specific tractor.

    Is there an air tank on the trailer that I need to drain as well? I thought I saw one

    • @PRIMEINCTRUCKING
      @PRIMEINCTRUCKING  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Great question!
      The trailer is supplied with air from the tractor so the belief is any air going back to the trailer should be dry by that point.
      Thanks for watching!

    Have to do that with engine off or engine on?

    • @PRIMEINCTRUCKING
      @PRIMEINCTRUCKING  Před 9 měsíci +1

      You could do either! I would say that with less moving air particles that keeping the engine off would allow more air to drain by allowing it to settle. The biggest focus is that you do drain them every day to eliminate water build up that leads to ice.

    I thought 4 tanks and you could reach cables without removing panel
    Am i doing in wrong

    • @PRIMEINCTRUCKING
      @PRIMEINCTRUCKING  Před 9 měsíci

      No just 2, primary and secondary tanks. This is a 2024 Freightliner, some trucks you might not have to take off the entire panel. On this freightliner you can reach the cables with out removing the entire panel.
