Hey all, as of the time of me uploading this, Sonic: Nazo Unleashed DX has been marked "Made for Kids" and has disabled comments and generally sliced engagement down to a fraction, so I have reuploaded the film with a disclaimer that hopefully helps address this (I also made some small tweaks to the Hyper scenes 👀)

To think this became so classic and iconic that many thought it was a canon thing, with many believing for years that Nazo was an actual character from Sonic's universe.
Nazo was a scrapped thing from a Japanese Sonic X trailer.

This gives me such retro dragon ball and sonic vibes it's so cool
Ok so im going to be compeltly honest here this animation is PEAK animated fan film of all time. The only thing i dislike about it is during the shadic transformation. I understand he couldnt use the original song (broly's transformation theme) for shadics transformation. The way the soundtrack went from emotional to power up music to knucles saying "those chaos emeralds" (im sad that line got cut out as well) kinda took away slightly the emotional punch that scene holds. But im still glad that the majority of the songs that were there originally are still here today and this is still once again PEAK fan animation of all time. I mean come on its 20 years old u cant say it isnt a masterpiece

Shadic and Nazo are arguably the most iconic fan characters of all time, period as I've not heard of any other game having two amazing characters

Fun Fact: I've made it a sort of tradition since 2015 that every day on my birthday I watch this historic piece of media. I loved watching this as a kid and still love watching it to this day. This truly is cinema

I like the little details that Shadow has to use his shoes to fly up before going super saiyan without the inhibitors

Hands down, this was there for me during my darkest childhood days, thank for the upload, thank you for making this wonderful piece of Sonic animation. Personally, I have always preferred the "Gohan Powers Up Theme" as you used in the original cut.

I still remember when paying close attention to the rapid fire shots of all the characters holding up rings for Shadic, I could clearly see 2 of them were the Mario Brothers.
Nazo unleashed is so good I don’t even classify it as a fan film. I classify it as official Sonic canon it’s that good and that authentic

It's kinda awesome that this animation made in 2006, by a sixteen year old has animation that's extremely impressive for someone that she, and that still holds up relatively well to this day. I mean the Light Speed attack scene is extremely clean.
This Pearl of Internet need a Remaster? Of course, it would be incredible to rewatch this animation with the same artistic quality that Wrath of Nazo promised. But in every other aspect this work of art remains timeless!

The hyper-lightspeed dash at 24:30 and the spindash into a Chaos Control finished with a Homing Attack at 25:08 is just absolute combo move perfection.
I genuinely wish they had been implemented into games or incorporated into the animated series.

I definitely like this version of the Hyper Shadic transformation sequence! The previous versions are great, but this edit ties in very well with the “His World” instrumental sequence, when Shadic defeats Nazo. Very nice updated version!
P.S: I like the return of the “Event: Shadow” track for Shadic’s intro.

i watched it 8 or 9 years ago..... so nostalgic
This was, and still is, the definition of coolness😂 This kind of Sonic fan content is what drew me to the series so heavily as a kid, and even today I can’t help but squeal with awe when watching these classic 2000s, DBZ, peak-flash scenes. I actually made an animation called “Fox And The Phoenix” when I was the same age you were when you made this, so I feel the nostalgia of animating as well!
My favourite moment definitely has to be 24:32. The animation and the sound effects with live and learn in the background just make it so perfect

Has anyone else experienced this movie in the Flash Games era?
I remember back in say.... 2007 watching the 3 parts back to back with the original Shadic transformation theme and being hyped. It really helped get me into story writing(And I'm not ashamed to admit I tried to fit Nazo into a Sonic fanfic of mine when I was starting out). Seeing the DX version with the new theme for the transformation theme was still just as hype and even now, it's as good as ever. A masterpiece that I doubt will ever not be watchable. You can bet I'll be back to watch this again in the future.

While I love that version of His World I think the Colors ost fits better cause it captures the moment perfectly with how epic it is
I personally prefer the one with Gohan's theme. It captures much more emotion to me, but the Colors ost is amazing ,too.
