What a great series! Thanks for sharing this, it was an absolute joy to watch👍🙂
Many thanks for posting this. CZcams had been missing Side 4 and I had been eager to watch it. I think the BBC should release this on DVD. It really is a work of historical significance. I have been fascinated with antique furniture all my life. I have read countless books and spent years collecting and the details described here are beginning to be lost in modern times. This is a shame.
Hello to you, 'Multiwizard' from Australia. Just wanted to thank you for making this amazing series available. If we don't 'watch out,' nobody will have a clue about the detail, intricacies, sheer unadulterated skill, talent and genius of not just British cabinetmakers & designers but worldwide, craftsmen & women, to whom we owe a huge debt of gratitude for the beauty, form & function that they've provided down the many generations.Well done you! Only 6 comments & one of them ??? Can't believe others aren't responding in droves for this privilege! Regards G.
This is an absolutely fantastic series. Thank you so much for finding and uploading these. Brilliant to see and hear the history of British furniture and also to see the passion of Arthur Negus. As a furniture enthusiast it has been a real joy to watch these. Thank you again.
that was fascinating. seems like old Arthur left the modern stuff to dear Hugh 😁
I enjoyed this immensely, although was a little disappointed Howard & Sons were omitted
Did this title ever get a VHS/Betamax release too?
I really don't know...
But it's from BBC Video so I suspect it could be... 🙂
Dolphins with scales?
I really enjoy these lectures. I especially enjoy listening to Arthur
I hope you don't mind me saying this kind of furniture is "not my cup of tea".
The last side of Seapower please
Like I said before, read my ABOUT section...
