Journeyman Lodge - Backcountry Skiing & Snowboarding in Whistler's Callaghan Wilderness

We’re stoked to announce that we’ve purchased the world-renowned Journeyman Lodge in Whistler, BC. Journeyman Lodge was hand-built by members of Whistler’s backcountry skiing community back in the 90s - and it’s been a dream destination for outdoor adventurers in search of deep powder ever since. With the addition of Journeyman Lodge, we’re excited to be able to offer our customers a truly immersive evo experience. And we’re fully committed to continuing the traditions that have made Journeyman such a special place for more than 20 years.
evo’s genesis occurred in Whistler in the late 90s and early 2000s. At the time, Bryce Phillips, Founder and CEO of evo, spent the better part of 7 years in Whistler, skiing and riding bikes as much as possible. He was able to chase winters and live the mountain lifestyle during these years with money he’d made by selling used ski and snowboard gear, which he had purchased in Whistler, out of his Seattle garage, on the sides of roads, eBay and later, evogear.com. Today, evo operates five stores in the Whistler area, a Canadian ecommerce site and a host of year-round evoTrips in spectacular Canadian locations.
