FUN FACT: Sarah Brightman is the only singer EVER to have sung at the Olympics TWICE. This 1992 Closing ceremony singing AMIGOS PARA SIEMPRE was her debut. Her return was in 2008 for the Opening Ceremony of that year's Beijing Summer Olympics singing YOU AND ME.

Sorry but I disagree. Pavarotti singing Nessum Dorma in the Olympics is by far the best presentation and it was the last one of him, so it's even more important. But I love José and Sarah, they did amazing too.

La primera vez que escuché esta hermosa canción fue justamente hace un año en el 2019 en un evento de la unesco en la escuela normal de ixtacala en Tlalnepantla estado de México... Un arreglo que los normalistas realizaron para dicho evento... Fue algo que me marcó y me resulta muy bello y emotivo como la canción lo dice en sus estrofas, algo que me ha marcado de por vida... Verla en esta versión para los juegos olímpicos me transporta a ese mágico momento... Sin duda algo para recordar ❤️ en el 92 yo cumplía 3 años de edad jaja

Jose, then recently recovered from leukemia, had been asked by the Spanish government to coordinate all the music aspects of the Olympics. One of the things he did was ask his friend, Lloyd-Webber to write a song for the closing ceremonies. Of course, as a tribute to Jose’s miraculous recovery, he obliged immediately. Such an unforgettable effort by the two singers and the composer. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
