    Steve Williams has spent hours in front of cameras talking about and criticizing Tiger Woods. Tiger Woods spent a couple minutes addressing it then moved on. This is relevant if we're going to be discussing character.

      My point exactly! Steve put his self in it by putting out a book. Tiger didn't even say anything on the golf club his wife used on him. That's grounds for arrest with a deadly weapon. Tiger manned up for his cheating and protected his the wife for his wrong doings. That's why the world still love Tiger because his honesty. You think Tiger is the only golfer cheating or superstar? Heck, I bet you you know unknown people who cheat. It's not right, but you should never turn on your best friend unless they messed you over like Steve did Tiger.
      I don't tell my best friend everything to protect his integrity. That's what Tiger did for Steve. Steve had to retire, because the world loves Tiger and the golfers because they know how much Tiger enhanced their life and bank account.

  • @BatMan-xr8gg

    I love all the comments from people attacking Tiger for his infidelities. Millions of men have done the very same, yet because they are not famous, no one cares. Tiger has a private life that really should not be open to the public. People do not need to know, it is just gossip. I see Tiger as a Golfer and nothing else. I do not know him personally, so I have no opinion of him personally. But if Steve was so upset, why did he not quit right then and there? And also remember, Tigers Dad and Uncle also had affairs, so he grew up thinking it was OK to do that. Just because someone is famous for something, does not give the public the right to know about their private lives. To me, if you need to know, then you do not have a life yourself.

    • @anthonybarksdale350
      @anthonybarksdale350 Před 2 lety +1

      No, that's why Tiger didn't involve Steve because he knew Steve was cool with them both. Steve seen the world turn on Tiger and I'm sure someone put in his ear that it's a good time to put out a book on Tiger and betray his best friend. Funny how Steve retired, no...if you go listen to all these young superstar golfers coming up, all they talk about is who influenced them..."Tiger" to play golf. The thing about life is, we all have skeletons in our closets, but are you going to be honest when you get caught? Tiger was honest and protected his ex wife from getting arrested for assault with that golf club. You see, know one speaks on the assault with a deadly weapon from his ex wife, because Tiger protected her for his wrongful doings...honesty. Just like Mark McGuire in baseball...honest. That's what people forgive faster...honesty.

That's why the word says "not to judge" because there's not one amongst us that is righteous. Let me stop, I'm not doing a Bible study.

    • @Matt-cr4vv
      @Matt-cr4vv Před rokem +2

      Steve’s wife has spoken about how she chewed tiger out when it went public because she wanted him to publicly clear Steve’s name of it and he didn’t. But while I certainly get why Steve would not want to be associated with the behavior if he had no knowledge of it, which admittedly I find hard to believe knowing just how much time a caddie is around their player and to boot the fact they were friends to a point they were in each others weddings, it’s off putting just how much he speaks on his loyalty to Tiger all the time but was openly upset to not have his name cleared right away and subsequently had tried to distance their closeness because he doesn’t want to have any association.
      As a guy who portrays himself to have been such a loyal friend none of the actions post scandal have demonstrated a lot of loyalty. To me a loyal friend isn’t so focused on disassociating from their friends low periods. If a friend is a true ride or die you focus on supporting them above protecting yourself from any bad reflection and he never did that. And he’s subsequently now diminished their relationship and said stupid shit like working for Tiger was like being a slave. Clearly this would be difficult for anybody to live through but the way Steve speaks about Tiger since their end makes it seem he was happy to ride the highs but wasn’t to ride the lows. The way he walks back their friendship consistently really says a lot about the dude - and that doesn’t give Tiger a pass at all. He made a ton of shitty choices and did wrong by many but spare the loyalty discussion if you’re gonna drag the dude and act like you weren’t close when he was your best man for god sake.

      The difference between Palmer and Woods is night and day. Palmer never demanded privacy from the media. Tiger did!
      Tiger portrayed himself as a man of moral strength and high integrity. The media gave him the respect he asked for. He was good for business, why would you bite the hard that feeds you... Once the scandal broke, Tiger was exposed as a hypocrite. When Palmer was on top of the golfing world the media was much different. They were less focused on your personal life and more focused on your accomplishments. Just look at JFK. Everyone knew that Kennedy was a womanizer but he was good for the country and the media had boundaries during the 60s and before. Since he (Palmer) hadn't done anything to bring shame to himself or the tour, there was nothing to report. Palmer remained an ambassador to the game until the day he died. Tiger has portrayed himself as someone bigger than the game and has lacked the humility that an Arnold Palmer showed throughout his career. Those of us that have paid attention understand that being the biggest difference between Palmer and Woods. In the end every generation has a player they worship from the tour. The 20's had Bobby Jones, the 40's had Byron Nelson, the 50's had Hogan and Snead.
      Palmer made golf relevant in the 60s, Nicholas dominated in the 70s. Tiger dominated the 2000s. Remember this, it was Palmer that turned the tour into a merchandising Mecca. Everyone from that point forward owes Palmer a debt of gratitude. He laid the groundwork for these guys to make more money off the course than they ever would on the course.

    It must be difficult for a guy who obviously brings out the best in the player he works for on the golf course, to see a player fall so far from grace off the course.

    Doesn't a caddy just pull clubs out of a bag and hand them to the golfer?

    • @Jman42576
      @Jman42576 Před 6 lety

      Haha. They clean the clubs, put them back in the bag. Repair divots. Carry the bag for them, confirm yardage, assist in wind judgements and putting lines etc. Just generally a second pair of eyes, but yeah, I doubt any great golfer in the world was great because of their caddie. He should have considered it a privilege caddying one of the best and he's obviously a bad friend.

      Have you played golf before? The best players are garbage if they can't hold it together. They are more like an emotional coach trying to keep your mine in the right direction. People are difficult and irrational, especially in golf. Hard job.

      @@francismuiruri9064 Yes, there are bad churches. Ones that make up things that aren't in the Bible and don't teach Biblical facts. That's why it's important to know the Bible so you'll know when the preacher is mistaken or lying. Some do that. That big church in Houston, TX for example. False prophet dragging people straight to Hell. I forgot the kid's name. I occasionally listened to his father preach on the radio a long time ago.

    I think Steve Williams was resentful of Tiger only because the latter didn't hook up any booties with the former. Steve's got his sexual addiction too, I'm sure. That's why he's lashing out at his former boss in public. Watch out Adam Scott, you could be next.
