Matt, the music selection is perfect for this video. I’m learning a lot from your work and these videos you produce.
I’m so glad you’re enjoying them. Thank you!
@@talbertart ...👀ok but what's the song, who are the musicians?
Really Awesome to see your process!!! I love how you start with a base splash of paint then it turns into something amazing!!!
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Matt, it's so enjoyable watching this video. I wonder what are these colors you're using for the background?
Thanks! I think it was mostly transparent red oxide and ultramarine blue. Then a little bit of viridian green and yellow ochre.
@@talbertart Thank you for your reply. It creates very wonderful mood for the painting.
Nice video, very fresh style. Do you use any medium to thin down your oil paint please? Ty
Thanks! I just use a bit of odorless mineral spirits.
Interesting.
Do you let it thoroughly dry after you block in the color and then come back in for the details
Yeah, most of the time that’s what I do. I use a retouch varnish to bring back the colors in the paint and then paint the details or just add more dimension and texture. Thanks for watching!
130. I love the colors that fall and let them flow in all directions with a sweet melody. ❤️❤️if you have time can see my abstract imagination too.
Thank you!
Art is not trying to paint like everyone
