    I wouldn't call those Basic Knots, more like 10 ways to tie two ropes together. Thanks for sharing them.

    Video was good; EXCEPT, it would have been nice and helpful to know the name of those 10 knots. If you read this please reply with number 1 is called ? Number 2 = ?, etc.

    That is such a slick way to tie a zepplin bend. You have no idea the hand gymnastics I've been doing...

    • @macman231
      @macman231 Před 4 měsíci

      If you are talking about the first and fourth knots, which are shown tied the same, those are not zeppelin bends, they are something else. Notice in a true zeppelin bend the loops that cross over the standing ends are on opposite sides of the knot, in the displayed knot they are on the same side of the knot, from what I've researched that is called a false zeppelin bend and is not as secure as the real thing, so be careful and do you're own research. Tying a zeppelin bend using the 6 and 9 method yields a true correct knot.

    Alle Knoten nur für einen Zweck. Nämlich 2Seile zu verbinden.
    Was soll's?
    Wie Spanne ich eine Wäscheleine?
    Befestigung an einem Gegenstand? Und schnell zu lösen?
    Das wäre für mich nützlicher.

    Why do I 'need to learn' these knots? I know the first 3 knots will reduce the load bearing weight of the rope by 50%, there are knots that can reduce it to only 15% loss. Maybe a little more about the pros and cons and purpose of a knot. More dialogue, less background music.
