So, so, so smart if you to introduce singing at this early stage. It took me MONTHS to be able to sing while I played because I was learning strumming, picking and chords as an isolated activity, not associated with singing. Had I incorporated singing earlier in my ukulele journey I could have streamlined the process considerably.

I have a soprano and I find that if I try to ‘seatbelt’ my ukulele I sometimes struggle with my balance in my right hand. Great Videos. I haven’t quit but I hit a wall from moving to index finger from thumb. Finally! I had my other fingers pointed out instead of keeping a cupped strumming hand. Seems trivial but I was amazed at how your emphasis on proper foundation key. I keep going back to video one making sure I didn’t miss something. Nails cut lets go.

    Hello dear Madam,
First thing i would like to say is THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE UKE VIDEOS. I had ukulele since more than one year that i started to learn on my own since 3 days with the help of your challenge. And its really helping me and make me joyful when i play music. However, i am able to spend only 1 hour daily and not more due to other daily life. As from this video, index finger is used for strum, but it seems that I am having sound of nails even if i strum softly up to down(kind of scratch sound). I feel like strum through thumb or index finger flesh gives more soft and clear voice in my case.(my nails are very short as i prefer it to be short) so, is it ok to keep it up with flesh? or it's not good? I am not sure what to do in this case. Could you please give some advice for this as well. I use soprano ukulele as i had no knowledge of ukulele when i bought one. But it seems good for beginner learning.
Thank you once again and sorry for such big question.
