KUBOTA L2501. ANSWERING THE CHALLENGE

- A couple of weeks ago, a channel that I like to follow on you tube, "FABBED FUN", challenged me to a little contest for fun.
The challenge is to just simply list my five favorite tractor add ons. Be they accessories, implements, or just outright modifications.
Here is my answer back to that challenge from Logan at the FABBED FUN channel.
I also challenged three other you tube channels to list their favorite add ons to their tractors.
I challenged Robert from PHEASANT LANE FARM. Robert and Amber are living the dream following a hellish nightmare. Robert was police officer nearly killed in the line of duty. Evidently God wasn't ready for him yet. Be sure to check out his channel.
Next up for the challenge is Mathew and Lisa from "THE PINEY WOODS HOMESTEAD". Mathew and Lisa have a beautiful spread in North Carolina and on their channel you will see everything from saw milling lumber to artificial inseminating their sows to absolute gardening. Lisa doesn't just have a green thumb, I seriously believe that she bleeds green.
Last, but not least is Dave from "DAVE KNOWS HOW". Dave lives in West Virginia and there isn't much of anything that he can't do.

Hi Chad. I need to mount a mirror on my 520 John Deere. I used that today and that is about the first thing I noticed . I will be adding one soon. They are so nice.

Lol. Don’t worry Brad, that clean look never lasts very long. From the sparrows and blackbirds using it for bombing practice to the dust bowl conditions that Ed live in now. I try, but it is a never ending battle.

The BXpanded piranha tooth bar made my L2501 a digging machine !
I have looked at those. That may be on the list for later on down the road. Everyone who has one loves them.
@@tractortalkwithgary1271 It's truly amazing how much of a difference it makes in this NC red clay . The factory straight edge wouldn't dig in , especially when super dry. This tooth bar just gobbles it up , easily a bucket full in an instant
Those are all good add-ons, Gary. I like the USMC add-ons. I almost enlisted. Had the papers in front of me and pen in hand. But, it was the Vietnam era, so I had a change of heart.

I got the grapple and 3rd function as well as a few other implements when I ordered my L2502 HST. I always loved the bucket on my tractors but that grapple is the coolest thing ever. I like the chainsaw holder you have on there. Guess I need to put one on mine soon. Keep up the good work and be safe on that tractor.

We all have different needs, so different add-ons! I understand why you added wheel spacers and reversed the wheel dish! I would if I lived in such a hilly land! The grapple is one implement I really like now... on the excavator! Along with the forks too! I've made another implement for the excavator you might be interested to see... video to come! Morning Gary, great top 5! The grapple is on my want list and it never occured to me that a brush guard should come hand in hand with the grapple, I'll add it with the grapple! Your tractor doesn't have the mid PTO does it?
No. The L series are not available with a mid mount pto.

Not unlike being married to wrong women, I bought the wrong tractor. 🙃 love this l series! Worlds better tractor for less than green! Live and learn. My 2025r gen 1 is a toy compared to this!
I looked at the Deere’s first. I was not impressed with them at all. I was really turned away by the plastic hoods and aluminum rear ends. The drawbar is even optional! The drawbar!
Those tractors are built for a market of suburbanite people who have an acreage with a large lawn to mow. They are light weight. I wanted something that was heavy for its size for pulling tree tops and small logs.
The L2501 fits my needs perfectly. I’m sure the Deere’s are a good fit for their market. It just wasn’t going to work for me, and I have been a John Deere guy all my life.
