I think Connor is the only character turning "human" For the whole playthrough Connor is he only one turning slowly into deviant Slowly having emotions... while the two character instantly turns into deviant...
I agree, although someone pointed out to me that it could be considered that the game is about Detroit itself becoming human, rather than the individual characters. I still think that it was based on characters, and they did it too fast for Kara and Marcus, but who knows lol
I think Detroit Become Human is always centered around Connor. Because he is the first one to appear in the game, he is the main protagonist out of all three. Sure, Kara and Markus have their own story, but their story are use for Connor's development slowly becoming deviant. That's just my thought.
Yeah, and he's the only one having a choice, becoming a deviant or to stay as a machine. Others turn deviant without any choice. So I think Connor is the one more connected to the player and the one with the choices that changes the game dramatically
Rush I don’t think it’s right to say that Kara and Markus ‘didn’t have enough proper reasons’ to become deviant or ‘did it too fast’, because let’s take a look at those two and their story of becoming a deviant. Kara’s model, AX400, is created to care for children (Luther emphasizes it when Kara found out about Alice being a deviant), so the fact that Todd ordered her to stay still while he beats Alice up, was what broke Kara’s programming - she wasn’t supposed to disobey, yet she wasn’t supposed to just stay still when a child, even if it was an android, clearly needs help. But, Kara can just stay a machine, but will die immediately due to Todd’s uncontrollable anger. Markus, on the other hand, had always been told that he ‘should make his own decisions’, and that Carl wouldn’t be with him all the time to help him decide something. Carl always treated him like a human, so, eventually, I think Markus began sometimes feeling like a living being. Carl’s only order for Markus to not defend himself (when he encountered Leo at the studio) wasn’t enough to stop Markus. Carl ‘taught’ Markus to feel like a human, behave like a human, and make decisions like a human. That’s why you can see Markus thinking that not defending himself against Leo was ‘unfair’, and that he must decided for himself. That’s what Carl demanded from him all the time - to be more like a human. And even after he becomes a deviant, he has a choice to endure or to fight back, and the player decides it. Markus fully gains his conscience after he comes back from the dead, which is when his true nature wakes up. Becoming a deviant isn’t something that should be categorized as ‘too fast’ or ‘too slow’. I think, Kamski said that the only thing that an android needs to ‘wake up’, is an emotional shock. In my opinion, Kara and Markus did experience it and each had solid reasons to actually become deviant. Connor, on the other hand, is a prototype, an android-detective. He’s a special android, his purpose is to not obey someone, but to accomplish his mission - stop the deviancy. Unlike Kara and Markus, he is unable to just turn deviant because of an emotional shock. And I think, in most cases, Connor would not be affected by the ‘emotional shock’ that could make other models with simpler functions go deviant. It’s all because of the fact that he’s special, he’s a prototype, designed to serve humanity, not just one person. I think it’s the reason why it takes time and effort to make Connor go deviant, compared to Markus and Kara.
Hiro_444 this one is really interesting. First of all, Kara has a choice to become a deviant or not - it’s just that she will die anyway if she stays a machine. Unlike Connor, she wouldn’t come back. And Markus, yes, the player doesn’t have a choice for him to stay a machine or become a deviant, but he doesn’t have to have it! In my opinion, Markus is the character, whose story is one of the most, if not the most important amongst the three. The android revolution wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for Markus, and Detroit: Become Human wouldn’t have existed, if Markus hadn’t become a deviant. So he had to, without him - the story behind the game wouldn’t have happened at all. So the fact that he became a deviant regardless is completely justified. Though, I do agree that Connor is the character that is more connected to the player.
@@yossefgamerr3813no you can see how his software instabilize ever time he become too machine or too deviant to set himmat into becoming deviant but still be obedient
4:20 is a surprisingly fitting ending for an evil Connor character. It's also the most riled up we ever see the character, and proof that he's probably just as much a deviant at the Connor he murdered. That was true fear in his voice, and as he's stated, machines don't feel fear.
A lot of choice-based games are frequently accused of not giving you much choice at all as the game still follows a linear path that will lead you to the same place. What impresses me the most about this one is that you CAN very seriously influence not just the story's outcome, but even the narrative in such a vast range of ways that I've never seen before! Even on where you base your interpretation. Connor and Markus are almost natural enemies with their differing goals. Based on where you stand, you can either interpret and subsequently make Connor the hero, bringing down deviants who are hurting humans and he must take down the antagonist Markus who is influencing the uprising (especially justified if you made Markus take the violent path). OR Markus is the hero, and Connor is the antagonist who seeks to tear down the android's noble cause. OR you can make them be on the same side and work towards the same cause. Now more than ever it's like _you_ are building the story and no one is truly good or evil, they are only good or evil until you make them so. Yes, that even goes for Kara, as you can make her abandon Alice at some point. I've never seen this kind of branching freedom in a game before! I've got some issues with the story and some plot points overall, BUT I will say this game still deserves high marks and serious accolades! It has set the bar in terms of how far a "Choose Your Own Ending" game can really go.
I think its not only"Choose Your Own Ending" but also "Choose your own story". In the trailer I remember Connor faced to camara and said "This is our story".
I agree, the sheer number of possibilities and level of flexible detail is amazing. Not only does the overall end result vary, but also each character's relationship to others is different at the end based on many small choices. It's an incredible accomplishment. My only problem with this is that it makes it impossible for there to be one canon story or any canon character development. You start with the same characters but there's no way to be "true" to each character since you basically decide who they are. Different people choose different endings for each character and that's their preferred version of that character - technically you can check the world stats to see which is most "canon", but Deviant Connor is just as true as Machine Connor, Peaceful Markus just as true as Revolutionary Markus, etc. It makes for an impressive game, but just... weakens the story, cheapens the characters. Just my opinion though.
the easiest way for hank to know which one is the real connor....just ask him to convert anyone....if the fake connor somehow can convert androids too, thats a fail-fail situation for him
It breaks my heart how in the first ending when he walks down the corridor to be deactivated you can't see emotion on his face but his light is flashing red which, if he's not physically damaged, means he is feeling intense emotion. He's terrified and sad that he's about to die and still feels a need to suppress his emotions
Both connor and Markus are from the RK series 30:11. They're both revolution androids. Cyberlife had planned an android revolution but didn't count on the prototype that Ilija sent to carl. Ilija knew about cyberlife's plan and didn't want any involvement, therefore he left cyberlife.
But why the revolution? What's the end game? Customer trust destroyed and the humans are still clearly in charge. The ends and motives just don't make sense.
Charles Turner Well you can have entire army of android and take over the world. If deviants lose and connor is not deviant amanda says they build 200k of new connors(new army) and working to get trust back. Why they need deviants makes sense too: just android only follow orders and controlling large army would be pain for not starcraft player, deviants are more self aware and will at least take cover on its own
But who benefits from control? And don't say Cyberlife because that's too broad. We see no board of directors for Cyberlife, and Amanda as far as we can see is nothing more then some AI program that can't do anything without a third party. Also, any business ruling the world would collapse. See Virginia Company and the more famous East India Company.
The most degenerate part in all of his endings is that after ending the revolution, he gets shut down. Why? The model is effective. Sell it to, like, rich people or something. In terms of choice, yes. In terms of the actual story...nah, the only characters I liked were Hank and Connor. At least that story didn't feel forced, unlike robo Jesus or the Motherhood Simulator 2: Electric Boogaloo
Well, from what we know of androids they don't have anything REALLY essential in their head. They don't really have a "brain", and the most essential biocomponents are on the side of head/middle of the body, etc.
Well we aren't necessarily sure about it to be completely honest. With a lot of different models we can assume that Markus was a rather unique version considering him and Connor were both considered prototypes. There have been a lot of occasions where Markus just straight gets shot up like nobody's business but continues to walk forwards like it was no big deal.
I have a theory for the ending at 14:40. Maybe the failsafe for Connor becoming deviant is an instruction for him to stay in power. Knowing that he is deviant and defies their orders he will kill himself. Cyber life could have used reverse psychology on the rebellious android to destroy the deviant leader.
I've always wondered why connor kills himself in this ending but continues to live on when forced to kill Markus. Does he just have more willpower with Markus or is he relying on his friends to snap him out in case amanda comes back?
@Zinc_Nitrogen kinda late but, I'm guessing if Connor leads the revolution, Amanda takes control of him and then later orders all the deviants to be deactivated, thus Amanda wins in the end. So Counter of course being Deviant by this point Kills himself in order to stop amanda from winning.
I think you left out two other endings for Connor: 1) If he becomes a deviant, Markus can shoot him after they escape from Jericho. 2) Connor can be killed by Markus during the battle in Detroit.
I seriously didn’t know there was this many endings involving Connor, or this many endings in general. I just got the title of “Detroit Master” too. I’m definitely gonna go back and complete all the flowcharts. I wanna see all the different scenarios this game has
I wish they had an ending where Connor becomes the new leader of the deviants but he doesn’t have to kill himself or give up and become a puppet for Cyberlife. Just let him have a happy ending as the new leader of the revolution when everyone else has died.
i get sad at every ending is this something normal? i mean , i chose to watch everything that can happen , but its really rough to see connor gettin killed , but there are more times he fails than he isnt , and in first playtrough u have , u usually don't fail that much especially at the end.
After seeing how everything could've went, the last ending made me teary eyed. I saw the ending before and it only made me happy, but seeing it like this is so bittersweet.
I love how this game gives you the choice of how the characters should develope to the end or of the outcome of the revolution. Conner is a perfect example He could be on the humans side or on the androids who were just fighting for freedoms side. He could be completely emotionless or develope emotions it's realy amazing and fun. I never replay games but this game is definitely worth replaying to find different outcomes and fix mistakes lol 😂
24:10 is it me, or does Connor look like he's about to cry after shooting markus...? His eyes look teary and red and the way he fixes his tie just.. I don't know. That and the whole scene in general makes me feel sad
I wonder what happens if Connor shoots Markus during his victory speech. You'd think it would throw a spanner in the freedom works but the flowchart at the end still says 'Androids have freedom'.
0:29 seeing Connor still in the "program" after (most likely) being deactivated makes me think... Is it really a program or actually the Androids' "spiritual world" of sort. In the scene where Amanda hears the storm and starts worrying... Could the storm be rA9?
Hank & Connor always kills me. They’re so cute. I had to replay the game to get Connor’s I’ll Be Back and Compliant trophy, and it was the worse lol. I hated making their relationship so sour 😂💀 not to mention, killing almost everybody rip
I can't find this ending : what happened when everyone from Jericho died (peaceful ending with the kiss but they are shot) and Connor died in Cyberlife, killing his double but awaking the androids ? There is no one to make a speech... what is the ending ?
Even if you get the ending where Markus is alive and Connor is on stage or in the crowd, while resisting Amanda, can he still meet up with Hank in the end? Or is it only when Markus/North die and Connor "gives up" on stage?
It always bothered me that Connor kills people on what is supposed to be the peaceful path, realistically that would hurt a peaceful movement and make it look violent and full of lies. I wish they’d gone for just incapacitating the guards. Otherwise Connor is amazing
connor was definitely best character

There have been a lot of occasions where Markus just straight gets shot up like nobody's business but continues to walk forwards like it was no big deal.
4:22 when I knew my mother woke me up in the middle of my dream..
xD
So very true
Is just when im about to discover something important in my dream and i suddently awake...
No no, NO NO NO, NOOOOOOO

The bromance between Hank and Connor is killing me
... Gabriel? *POP*
John Smith Poor Hank.
John Smith Anthony???
G a r y ?
17:19 ... so much fear... poor baby
Susanne Witt it physically hurts to watch him like that
hetahen yeah :(
I have a theory for the ending at 14:40.
"...Gabriel😣?"
Nooooooooooo😂😂😂 This is too cruel to Hank, tragedy caused by stupidity 😫
The last ending is the best ending
I think you left out two other endings for Connor:
1) If he becomes a deviant, Markus can shoot him after they escape from Jericho.
2) Connor can be killed by Markus during the battle in Detroit.
If Markus shoots him, he gets replaced by a new Connor and does the Machine path
Moment of truth Connor.
Hank THIS IS SPARTAAAA
Moment of truth Hank...what am I, a machine? Or a living being
Hank let's go "Your a machine"

Kawai Monster Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!

Kawai Monster I prefer Markus and Kara.
God Conor is so hot! It's driving me crazy. 😫😣

@@grapefruitjuice9473 it’s strange because it’s a male 🙄 yet weeaboos exist
@@melteddarkchocolate000 ah yes I'd definitely know that
God Connor's voice is amazing
Bryan Dechart is the name of his VA.
I seriously didn’t know there was this many endings involving Connor, or this many endings in general. I just got the title of “Detroit Master” too.
I’m definitely gonna go back and complete all the flowcharts. I wanna see all the different scenarios this game has
I find it impressive how many ends are made available to you.
the cold and bad ones is so tough to sit through
I wish they had an ending where Connor becomes the new leader of the deviants but he doesn’t have to kill himself or give up and become a puppet for Cyberlife. Just let him have a happy ending as the new leader of the revolution when everyone else has died.
Best character by far, the others seem bland or hollow in comparison.
zycane i think it's how you play. Connor was the most hollow character in my game, didn't care if he died actually.
Blackpaw Really? No matter how much I played differently the others just seemed way more expendable in comparison regardless
@@blackpaw3776 connor was most realistic others where cry baby bitches that dont want to accept the fact there just robots
*I JUST NEED MORE TIME.*
DominusFakerusIsAlive I always accomplish my mission.
4:20 is just me that feels sad about evil connor in this scene?so scared here
That last one with Connor hugging Hank really hits my emotions. I love that ending so much and I didn’t even play the game!
3:14 he roasted himself.
6:12 when you see someone with the same skin and username as your friend
i get sad at every ending is this something normal? i mean , i chose to watch everything that can happen , but its really rough to see connor gettin killed , but there are more times he fails than he isnt , and in first playtrough u have , u usually don't fail that much especially at the end.
I love his relationship with Hank.
After seeing how everything could've went, the last ending made me teary eyed. I saw the ending before and it only made me happy, but seeing it like this is so bittersweet.
Conner failing his mission without dying has got to be one of the most hilarious things in the world.
"Shit"
12:30 hey,did u guy see North said:"a-man-da"?????
shes saying mar-kus
Imagine completing your mission just to be deactivated and replaced.
I dont like that Connor only has bad ending if Markus die, Why he commit suidice if he became the leader
Because Amanda would've controlled him resulting in CyberLife winning. He couldn't escape being controlled so he just decided to end it.
ture, but with markus he simply could resist the urge.
Why cant he resist it when he stands there?
Pfft I dunno
There are worse things then death. I would rather shoot myself then beeing controlled by Amanda.
LisDraconis22 Fortunately Amanda is dead.
I love how this game gives you the choice of how the characters should develope to the end or of the outcome of the revolution. Conner is a perfect example
He could be on the humans side or on the androids who were just fighting for freedoms side. He could be completely emotionless or develope emotions it's realy amazing and fun. I never replay games but this game is definitely worth replaying to find different outcomes and fix mistakes lol 😂
thanks so much for posting!
youz welcome :D
24:10 is it me, or does Connor look like he's about to cry after shooting markus...? His eyes look teary and red and the way he fixes his tie just.. I don't know. That and the whole scene in general makes me feel sad
32:45 I keep playing this over and over again. I love the bromance with Hank and Connor.
I love this game. I wish I could play it tho! This is a masterpiece!
In my opinion Connor is the best antagonist ever!!
IKR!
I’ll always think that Connor stands above Markus.
Brilliant
Marvelous
vincent marandola Gold.
Really enjoyed watching this.
I love the way how on 12:05 music is nice and inspiring and then on 12:14 Connor has "wrong" sound
How to beat androids turn off WiFi
The last ending is the best....Connor is so perfect like that !
"You can't do that !"
Me: *sob*
Connor dies
Me: *sob*
Connor sad
Me: I hate my life T^T
Villain Connor Sad: I DON'T LIKE THAT EITHER WTH
Watching all this you really feel for Connor 😔
goddammit Connor and Hank hugging at the end makes me cry every time
Last one is just great!!
This Inception music got me hyped
Beautifully Bree Look up his soundtrack, its really great.
0:30 when you finished the whole Detroit become human stories and you’re thinking of a new game to play
Why the hell doesn't this video have 1M views. I hate It when things are underrated !!!!!!!!!!
I wonder what happens if Connor shoots Markus during his victory speech. You'd think it would throw a spanner in the freedom works but the flowchart at the end still says 'Androids have freedom'.
'GABRIEL?"
dadkwashere *BANG*
0:29 seeing Connor still in the "program" after (most likely) being deactivated makes me think... Is it really a program or actually the Androids' "spiritual world" of sort.
In the scene where Amanda hears the storm and starts worrying... Could the storm be rA9?
Hank & Connor always kills me. They’re so cute. I had to replay the game to get Connor’s I’ll Be Back and Compliant trophy, and it was the worse lol. I hated making their relationship so sour 😂💀 not to mention, killing almost everybody rip
The Hank's hug is the cutest ending TwT
Mission failed, we'll get 'em next time.
MISSION SUCCESSFUL!
самая классная концовка в самом конце)) плачу Т__Т
The best ending in the end. I'm crying. Т__Т
Ugh that last ending always gets me TvT
16:57 i have never seen that outcome, ive just seem the kne where do you shoot. it still suprises me finding different endings.
the fact that I didn’t royally screw his ending up is a miracle
My favorite part is when Connor killing Marcus. This is INSANELY good!
I can't find this ending : what happened when everyone from Jericho died (peaceful ending with the kiss but they are shot) and Connor died in Cyberlife, killing his double but awaking the androids ? There is no one to make a speech... what is the ending ?
Oncoming Ood the androids will march and they win bc the humans are outnumbered basically
Ok. Thank you.
Even if you get the ending where Markus is alive and Connor is on stage or in the crowd, while resisting Amanda, can he still meet up with Hank in the end? Or is it only when Markus/North die and Connor "gives up" on stage?
You can still meet him. Watch the last episode from "Gronkh"
everytime Connor dies, a little piece of me die with him. XD
I love Connor. He is the best.
32:29
Was anyone else hoping for the bee to sting Amanda?
Uh. Where did we first meet?
Jimmys bar, I was looking for you after a homicide had just been reported, I found you at the fifth bar.
Hank: Well that sure explains why I couldn't remember
Eden stripclub, room 46. When you were having intercourse with that android jane.
Gillian Easton What's my dog's name.
Hank buddy?
Detroit become human has to be the best game ever.
Gota Detroit ad on this
Ray Summers DETROIT SMAAAAASH!!!
gu77g damn right
Connor is life. Connor is love.
The end just hit me 😖😭
It always bothered me that Connor kills people on what is supposed to be the peaceful path, realistically that would hurt a peaceful movement and make it look violent and full of lies. I wish they’d gone for just incapacitating the guards. Otherwise Connor is amazing
Wow, this game is awesome!
