At around 12:40 Nasher says “I got drop” and it sounded like the guy crashing the net said “no ya don’t”. It probably felt good to pick up the puck and make them look silly at the other end! Well played!

He was too soft, should have at least ran into him square, that is what allowed him to get decked by the other guy too cause he was off balanced.
As a ref, it just pains me to see how poorly that ref handled the breaking up of the scrum. He kept constantly grabbing Brian after everything was over, and being super aggressive with him
He wanted to act tough. Should have been knocked out.
The guy was trying to attack another player, after the penalty was being called. Guy needs to control himself and take the power play for his team. The guy with the beard has caused problems for his team in many of these videos, and has proven himself to be angry. Nasher handles it extremely well by calming him down.

@@bonk5316 Explain to me which factors I am wrong about. The hit was illegal and there was a delayed penalty going to be called. He should have taken the penalty and used it for his team, rather than losing control and making his team lose a player.

Best part of the video was around 12:50 when Nasher called out “I got drop” and the guy he was trying to cover skates past him and goes “no you don’t” immediately followed by Nasher taking the puck up the ice and score a nasty backhander

The fact that the ref constantly kept pushing your guy all the way to the bench and then litteraly giving one last push right as he is at the bench. What if the gate was open already. He's tripping over and falling face first into the ground. Petition to have that Ref suspended for his actions
If that was my team, EVERY SINGLE CLEARANCE is going towards that ref for the way he "handled" that situation from start to finish. Putting on the zebra doesn't make you a joke but officiating like that sure does.
That first hit is why I stopped playing ice hockey tourneys in 2017. I'm too into it and get down easy on myself. 4 games in 3 days sucks too. Really tough to do.

I get that when the ref slammed him down that stuff happens in ice hockey too. They’re job is to get the guy off of the other guy. But the ref took it a little too far when he kept pushing him back to the bench even when the guy was going back all himself and didn’t show any attempt to go back

That ref was awful, he knew it was a dirty hit so he shoulda let the fight happen instead of attacking the player from behind. At that point If I knew I was getting tossed id probably just fight the ref.
That's gotta feel great to have those kids out there cheering and giving fist bumps when you walk out.
Think Brian needs to put in a complaint to the league for how the Ref handled the ejection. That takedown while trying to pull Brain out was uncalled for and could have injured Brian. Brain's facial expression also seems like the Ref said something to him at the 3:15 mark in the video. Then holding him all the way till the point at which Brian pushed him to get the ref off of him, why? At that point he didn't look like a Ref and looked more like someone that shouldn't have been on the rink. At best he doesn't trust Brain to go where Brian was told to go, which means in that situation the Ref got to involved. He also left the other Ref and couldn't help, aid or see anything going on behind the two of them. Should Brain have pushed him no, but dang get your hands off when Brain rips his arm out of the grasp.

As soon as that play happens, when your arms go up, as a ref, you have to be vocal. Refs need to say “I got him” “he’s going” and lastly slam that whistle and say enough next one is going.

I honestly don't have a problem with how the ref handled the situation. As a ref you're not supposed to be some flower, if a player is being overly aggressive you have a right to protect yourself and other players. If a player is gonna act that way, why shouldn't a ref be allowed to as well? Everybody wants to protect the player who is acting hard but they get butt hurt when the ref is a little "rough" escorting him out smh.
