  • This is one of my favourite style of arranging, here I've created pockets of textural interest within a circular frame. This low down posy style arrangement that is often created by a florist for events and weddings. It works well for flowers and foliage with interesting textures that contrast against each other
    This arrangement follows patterns and structure to make a formal design with a vibrant clashing colour combination, its been arranged to be viewed from all round and is ideal for the centre of a table. This style can be used for dinner parties, wedding table centres or for the centre of a coffee table.
    If you are new to arranging, take a few minutes to view my Back to Basics series which will explain how to create a range of basic floral designs.

    Watching from New Zealand and while we are opposite seasons I still love watching your arranging. I can refer to your past Spring design videos for inspiration on what I can do now. Love how you offer suggestions for alternative flowers and foliage. Keep doing what you are doing because it fantastic.

    I’m looking for inspiration for a round table design for a special birthday, missed this when it came out, it’s stunning. I don’t have a posy pad at the moment but this is something I shall be trying in the future. Thank you Sharon.

      Thank you! 😊You could still make it, my using a round container and packing the foam in tightly

      Mmm but I’ve just watched your New Year design in the boat shaped container which I’ve decided to do. This one will have to wait until a very special bowl from my Mum makes its way here from UK. If I’m pleased with the design I’ll post on the fb group.

    I love to see you design with unusual florist foliage and flowers. An interesting unusual design is a welcome change. Going with the seasonal materials helps to take us through the season. I love your designs and teaching methods! From Texas that is still HOT 🥵! Thank you! You are much appreciated!

    Do you manage to get your foliage and flowers from the wholesaler or do your supermarkets provide enough foliage? I have suggested to our local supermarket that it would be good to sell foliage. So far I've not been successful. Thankyou!

    • @sharondower
      @sharondower  Před rokem +1

      Nearly all of my foliage either comes from a wholesaler its picked from my garden or neighbours/friends gardens.
