- If you’re already familiar with MSC Cruises Yacht Club experience, their new luxury cruise line coming in 2023 is taking it to a new level.
MSC Group has unveiled a new luxury brand, Explora Journeys, designed for travelers seeking a more discerning and pampering experience at sea.
With just 461 oceanfront suites and residences, Explora 1, the first of 4 vessels, will offer intimate and vibrant public spaces and a guest to crew ratio of almost 1 to 1. Explora Journeys are designed to suit personal preferences with a choice of nine dining venues utilizing locally sourced sustainable ingredients, several indoor and outdoor bars and lounges and spacious wellness facilities.
The ships will also feature 14 decks, generous outdoor spaces with more than 26,000 square feet overlooking the ocean, 64 private cabanas and four pools.
The latest in environmental-supporting technologies resulting in up to 90% reduction in emissions will be employed and there will be a green focus onboard and ashore with zero single-use plastics.
Explora Journeys, Explora I, is scheduled to set sail in 2023 with her inaugural season itineraries open for booking in the Fall of 2021.

Hi Kiwi Chaos, MSC's designs and finishes are some of the best at sea. Even when they "borrow" other cruise lines ideas, they make it special.

The small ships look great. However the regular MSC ships have some mediocre at best reviews of their food. The food has to be top notch to attract this customer base.
Hi Texas Boy, thanks for watching. There are lots of "reviews" for MSC Cruises, but I can attest that the food quality in the main dining venues is no worse and unfortunately, no better than most of the major cruise lines. This is one area where cruise lines have taken major cost-cutting steps over the past decade. Explora Journeys does look appealing.
Is there going to be any entertainment onboard,as this ship looks wonderful but I must have entertainment at night. It doesn’t mention a theatre so that worries me.
Hi Sharon, thanks for watching. There is a lounge on deck 4 that will likely be used for entertainment purposes. Their website states "lounge experiences with curated entertainment and intimate performances", so I wouldn't expect lavish shows like on MSC or other cruise brands.
