Fold the booms up and it would have driven out, got stuck many a time with rb16 25 and 35 only had to be pulled out twice. Keep up the good work.

The nhlon blocks are to give smooth movement on the head leveling to save metal on metal .

Great video Olly. I’ve seen loads of those seed trucks about, now I know what they do.
Those plastic /nylon blocks on the front of the combine are to allow the header to slide for hillside use.
I have had lots of time to catch with your videos as i had a week in Hospital having fallen from a ladder last week. Lots of broken ribs but nothing else thankfully.

Hey Olly. I’m a bit behind this week. 80%. Years ago we used to spray with a jd6400 on terra tyres with front and rear 1000L tanks. Would only cover 10ha but it could walk on water. Same outfit for fert with 1t at a time for early urea. Even wet land had no ruts in it. It took 2 men with a chaser to cover the ground but well worth it.

drove past my neighbours field of winter barley yesterday, thats looking pretty good ......up to the top of your wellies i would say. the field is on a bit of a slope so drainage hasn't been a problem

Grain cleaning hasn't changed much. 65y ago I was dealing with shaker tables and a smaller fan and a shovel. Bigger unit with less labour but same principle.

Watched the combine run again still a brilliant effort.
so how did you know how much barley was in the clean bags? we used weighting scales with a board on them under the bags as we filled them up. so the first cleaner works the same as your combine sieves and the other one is a gravity cleaner which vibrates and has an air flow which you can adjust depending on how heavy the grain is. the light grain and any weed seeds will flow over the top seive or be sucked out, the heavy grain that you want to keep will fall thought and go into your bags. the cleaner i used to use was almost the same it used to do 6 /7 ton an hour with barley and a max of 11 ton an hour with good wheat.

I think there's a new drain needed where the sprayer got stuck olly, i think drainage contractors will be busy this year.

Quiz question, not familiar with combines, but does that bit slide? They look like wear pads or slides. Either that or anti vibration but my bet is wear pads.
Stuck Bateman.. knock pto out, fold booms in and both axles into tortoise mode they usually drive themselves out the way you go in.

63 grand is several operating hours that the Air Ambulance might not have been able to do otherwise, and that could be several lives saved folks. I was transferred from Ospadal Uibhist agas Bharraigh to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow by air ambulance with acute renal failure, so I do take this personally.
