Size among gems aren't important, I have 2 examples. 1. Aquamarine is extremely small but is a bit higher in class 2. Sapphires are high level assets to a diamond due to their future vision and they are just as tall as ruby's and they are just common-soldiers. This isn't hate I just pointed it out

Emerald's first appearance being comedic makes us not take her seriously? I'm sorry but when we first saw Yellow Diamond, the first Diamond we ever saw, mind you, she made that meme face and had a giraffe neck. We made memes of her like crazy. But we absolutely take her seriously, she's a Diamond. I think that we can take Emerald seriously too. It's less she was comedic, but more she was an over the top anime character and that in itself is comedic. Jasper tended to be an anime character as well and we all sure take her seriously.
The thing was, Yellow Diamond actually had an intimidating reveal. The meme face was just to have that "moment" for Peridot. To show how she's grown enough to talk smack to a *very* threatening character. Emerald was purely comic relief to show how much Lars had grown. I don't even need to make a point, like, she was a one-off comic relief character used solely for purpose of character development for Lars. And, Jasper was never over the top. She was always treated seriously and intimidating up until Future, where there just like, "okay, drop the act bub".
I really think (or at least hope) that Emerald being introduced in such a way was to purposely make her seem like a joke so later on she can be revealed as an extremely powerful and complex character that will do something that impacts the series in a big way and it would come as a huge shock to everyone because she's treated as a joke when in fact, she's far from it.

Peridot tried to reactivate the Kindergarten and alerted the Diamonds of remaining CG's, Jasper tried to shatter who she thought killed PD and almost brought the CG's to Homeworld, the Rubies have stabbed Steven's back multiple times, Holly Blue tried to fling Steven into the zoo, Yellow Zircon is fighting against Steven, and Emerald will probably become what Aquamarine was to Steven

Emerald seems VERY large if she can block her body from the camera. It won't make much sense now, but rewatch towards the end to see what I mean. And she clearly has some sort of audience with her, from beading sweat, the sheer size of the ship, and her declarative one- liners. There is a lot of evidence that she is indeed special.
I’m really confused about Emerald’s design. Gems of the same type are usually the same height unless they’re defective. Quartzes like Rose Quartz, Jasper, the Prime Kindergarten Amethyst, and Holly Blue Agate are around the same height and are all Quartz. Ruby and Sapphire are the same height as they’re both Corundums. What I’m getting at is, Emerald, Aquamarine, and Morganite are all Beryl gems and so... should Emerald and Aquamarine be the same height? Does Emerald just have really long limb enhancers?
I think that height is a power play, but not the BIG power play. Soldiers are beefy. Higher ranks like sapphires are small, and so are rubies due to them being essentially like the handguns while quartzes are cannons. The strategists like Aqua, Emerald, and likely Morganite, all don’t need to be big. And there’s no confirmed height on Emerald, so there’s a very good chance she’s got the Aqua size. Diamonds are huge due to the fear it strikes in others, but strategists don’t need to strike fear. Aqua took down Topaz with some light intimidation.
Yeah, there are no one-off characters, especially when Rebecca Sugar said that she wanted to save Emerald for something special. And Jinkx Monsoon begged for so long to be on the show, it would surprise me if they stopped voicing her after just one episode.

I think Lars somehow managed to seduce Emerald to get away from homeworld and now Emerald is on a love-hate warpath to hunt Lars down. If she is such a high ranking official I don't think she'd bother with hunting Lars herself and if it was her job to hunt down fugitives like Lars and his gang, how did Lars know that the ship they stole was something Emerald held dear? Admittedly, Lars could've figured out that detail seeing her reaction after they stole the ship. This theory might explain why she's so clumsy with dealing with Lars. Here's hoping Emerald gets more screen time.

Just to talk about size relating to authority in gem kind, I agreed with most of it but then I realized that Holly Blue Agate was lower authority than Sapphire who is much smaller than her. You can see this in the way she treats her and how much she tries to impress her. Also Aquamarine is probably the smallest gem we have seen yet gave orders to Topaz the 2nd biggest (non Diamond) gem we have seen. But idk that's just how i interpret it.

I'm hoping that a Lars of The Stars spinoff happens. I'm hoping that Emerald is involved in it, too! Now that all armies are disbanded, and there isn't a caste system anymore, Emerald doesn't really have anything to drive her anymore. I'd imagine if she crossed paths with Lars and his crew again, she'd see an opportunity to not only gain a sense of purpose again, but also get her ship back and make the off colors pay for stealing it. The resulting chase can result in all kinds of conflicts and hijinks. They could get caught in a meteor shower or asteroid belt and crash land on an uncharted planet, leading to challenges, monsters, and character development and exploration, and ultimately the two teams might be forced to work together. It'd be really fun!
Sugar is DEFINITELY going to show us how eff'd up Emerald can get. I really do think so. I have no doubt that eventually there will be a very... sudden... change... in the way we see her. She WILL eff us up.

I think that Emerald's thing is that she's supposed to be high ranking, but is generally incompetent and humorous. Maybe she has an Agate lieutenant with her who's the real brains of the operation, perhaps with a Starscream vibe.
I think Lars puts her into a position that makes her look incompetent and humorous but she was never like that. I think Emeralds are more high ranking than Agates.
Emerald is my favorite gem type and I love how they made Emerald's character: *BIG, Mean, and Green* Really hope she becomes a dangerous threat and not stuck as disappointing comic relief.

Look at Sugilite, while Pearl fusions are relatively small but retain the Pearl's intellect. Similarly, Peridot is a highly intelligent gem, very highly trained in Kindergarten practises. Leadership roles have not been shown to be particularly tall, but they have been shown to be small: for example Aquamarine. Powerful gems have been shown to be large, like Topaz, Quartzes, Garnet, etc. The Diamonds are an obvious exception, as they are both leaders and undoubtedly powerful as well. Given that, and the fact that the Star Destroyer is her personal ship, so the Captain's Chair should be Emerald-sized, it leads to the impression that Emerald is of average size, though possibly somewhat taller than Jasper.
Maybe the point of Emerald is to point out the pointlessness of the Gem' s elitism. Make this naturally capable person have a myriad of personal issues is both within the SU mindset and real life with privileged nobility. Point, point, pointy McPoint.

My brother got a whole interview with Rebecca and he expressed my twist of the Steven Universe series. He told her about his character he made and she said she would think about adding that gem. My brother's birth month is May, and the character was based off of his month stone. I'm super happy that this character will be expressed more in the series!!!
I love Emerald! Something about her has always seeked my interest! As much as they revealed from her she's still a mystery. Who knows? Maybe things get twisted to reveal that it was all her plan all along and she knew that Lars will take her ship to were he belongs,earth. Maybe it was all an act,because when Lars stole her FAVOURITE ship easily, it was kind of suspicious buuuut not so much that I remember when Steven and Greg snuck out of Pink's room when the Diamonds were there...makes me think that it's a gem thing tbh XDD great video like always!

I don't think Emerald will be huge just because she's high rank. Aqua Marine is allegedly high rank too, and she's the smallest gem body of every gem so far in the show! My money is on her being small to contrast with how large she looked on the projection. The crewniverse has a knack for messing with fans when it comes to gem body size. We thought that peridots were tall only to find out that they are slices of pie on high tech stilts, and that amethysts were small but actually are normally big strong soldiers. I wouldn't be surprised if the crewniverse introduced Emerald this way in order to surprise us later with how powerful she might actually be.
(Roundtable) Im honestly excited about Emerald because of who the voice actor is, Jinx Monsoon loves the show so intensely and it was a dream to be included - so to see a potential ongoing role in the show has made the performer immensely happy. Its nice :)

I think you're over judging Emerald's behavior compared to her status. Sapphire (who most likely ranks higher than an Emerald) was a high class gem too who held held herself with class and dignity in The Answer, she was also seen to have some liberties to act how she wanted, like when Ruby bumped into her she could've easily had her punished for it considering how panicked Ruby felt about the accident but Sapphire chose to dismis it without a care and no one forced her to arrest Ruby. I think that says a lot about homeworld's hierarchy. The higher you are in the chain the more free will you're probably given in you're personality and characteristics, and choices. The Diamonds themselves barely abide by their own rules by freely feeling emotions like love, affection, and sorrow. Emotions they opress their subjects from feeling towards one another. Peridot on the other hand who is a low ranking gem was probably seen as more serious because the more you rank low on the hierarchy the more you'd want to be taken seriously by giving excelling job performance to be noticed by the Diamonds or other high ranking gems, (hence why she eagerly tried to impress Amethyst before) where as the higher ups act how they want knowing their positions are safe because of the value of their gemstones. And ever since Peridot became a free gem we saw more of what she's really like unhindered by Homeworld's social protocol and I think it says a lot that she acts similarily to Emerald, it could give us an indication of what Yellow Diamond's court is actually like (even Yellow Zircon acted a bit snarky), and how Yellow Diamond herself thinks and behaves, considering we've seen how some gems reflect off their designated Diamond's behavior. Peridot also stated that quartz gems are loyal soldiers. Jasper hailed as the ultimate quartz automatically ranks her pretty high on the hiearchy despite already having a high position as a quartz. In the end she was still just made to be a loyal soldier. She probably had a position to stay close with Pink Diamond during the war that probably cemented her loyalty to homeworld and why she takes her job so seriously. Losing Pink Diamond and centuries of working under Yellow Diamond most likely roughed her up too. Then there's Holly Blue Agate who does complete 180s when talking between Sapphire, the other Crystal Gems, The Diamonds and the Amethysts. Probably to keep up appearance but freely acts how she wants to those viewed beneath her. Leaving me to highly doubt Emerald would be having a meltdown over Lars's cockiness and stolen ship if she was working with a higher ranking gem or in the presense of a Diamond. I think Emerald following Lars around over a crush would be hilarious twist, but that's just me.
Not really. Emerald is a commander, when Sapphire is a specialist. In gem society position is all what matter. Sapphire definitely have higher rank then most common gems but they didn't command large operations.
TheRezro Holly Blue Agate isn't much different, she's in command of quartz soldiers while she runs the human zoo, and she practically broke down when the crystal gems defeated her.
I think we should add also that gems clearly do rank separately from the origin, what determine only they initial value (practicality is still what matter most in gem society). Quartz aren't high rank as you claim. They are basically elit but still just soldiers, with exclusion of Jasper and Agate. First is second class quartz (still better then Ruby and Pearl though) who was so impressive that he was used as example of perfect quartz and promoted to low rank commander, and the later just a quartz what born or slightly better type but otherwise was just glorified janitor. We see the same with the sapphire and aquamarines (and most likely Emerald as she is same type). They were a specialist with impressive skills, what guaranty them at least low-level command. But otherwise they position was not clear. Some like CG Aquamarine was literally useless, as she has emotional issues, but HG Aquamarine was a acclaimed commando despite smaller size. I personally think that Emerald work for her position of Admiral, otherwise Emeralds are still just elite, but not a real aristocracy. PS: Fun note. All defective gems on Earth were originally white. Prime kindergarten was created still by white as that is what mark CG Amethyst have. HG Amethyst are probably from same place, just resigned to Blue. On the other hand Jasper considered herself as Pink Diamond gem despite wearing Yellow mark and despite inferior tyle was OP, same with the Rose Quartz and presuming that Pearl was her Pearl instead white, also she is OP. That may discredit idea that Pink was flawed. She could be considered as such, but in fact much point out toward that she was simply inexperienced but her gem crafting was in fact superior then White. All off color gems on homeward could be from learning period. Her tendency to experiment could lead to misconception that she was incompetent. I think that if White was involved the real reason for her death was jealousy when Pink was revealed to be more competent then flawless one. Also take a note that Pink Diamonds basically are White Diamonds. Also considering that chair on Moon base was in her size it totally possible that White is also short. That would also explain why she avoid appearing in public.
Just in case if you didn't listen to what she said in the episode, but she said that HER ship was guarded by 67 ELITE Citrines. That to be honest is a big deal for a homeworld gem. Sapphire, also considered a high ranking gem (no offense) only had 3 Rubies guarding her. Emerald might be one of the highest ranking gems in the series which was also proven by Rebecca Sugar.

Sounds to me like Emeralds would fit the role of admirals in the gem hierarchy. It would certainly make sense, plus emeralds are the rarest gemstone on Earth, it would be fitting that they have a position to fit their rarity.

No, actually. Ronaldo being right has NOTHING to do with Sneople. However, Ronaldo IS right about one thing. At one point in the show, Ronaldo says that rock beings are going to hollow out the Earth. Ring a bell, anybody? Wow. I just spilled out my entire Ronaldo theory.
I know a lot of what happened to her on screen was for comedic effect, but I think honestly because of what you said in regards to Lars just not having any idea at all how "important" she is. Sure it's 'disrespectful' for the show to not give Emerald the respect she actually "deserves", but Stevonnie has no idea who she is, so that sets the mood for us viewers, because the average viewer may not have listened to that interview (... i didn't...... oops -shame shame-). The off-colors and Lars got away with a lot of crap because Lars is human, and they weren't expecting that, BUT the off-colors ARE obviously visibly afraid, so I think that this is gonna set us up for Emerald doing something big and dangerous in the future. Kind of like what you said in an earlier video about this episode. So I think that's a pretty great set up to showcase how dangerous she actually is when she comes back, and give us some real stakes soon. That's my hope, at least.

I LOVED Emerald, mostly because she is voiced by one of my top two fave drag Queens, Jinkx Monsoon. Of course Emerald would be a clown and a joke, Jinkx plays that side of comedy a lot on stage herself. I feel Emerald was played to fit Jinkx's style perfectly.

Emerald's first appearance being comedic makes us not take her seriously? I'm sorry but when we first saw Yellow Diamond, the first Diamond we ever saw, mind you, she made that meme face and had a giraffe neck. We made memes of her like crazy. But we absolutely take her seriously, she's a Diamond. I think that we can take Emerald seriously too. It's less she was comedic, but more she was an over the top anime character and that in itself is comedic. Jasper tended to be an anime character as well and we all sure take her seriously.

The thing was, Yellow Diamond actually had an intimidating reveal. The meme face was just to have that "moment" for Peridot. To show how she's grown enough to talk smack to a *very* threatening character. Emerald was purely comic relief to show how much Lars had grown. I don't even need to make a point, like, she was a one-off comic relief character used solely for purpose of character development for Lars. And, Jasper was never over the top. She was always treated seriously and intimidating up until Future, where there just like, "okay, drop the act bub".
I really think (or at least hope) that Emerald being introduced in such a way was to purposely make her seem like a joke so later on she can be revealed as an extremely powerful and complex character that will do something that impacts the series in a big way and it would come as a huge shock to everyone because she's treated as a joke when in fact, she's far from it.

Peridot tried to reactivate the Kindergarten and alerted the Diamonds of remaining CG's, Jasper tried to shatter who she thought killed PD and almost brought the CG's to Homeworld, the Rubies have stabbed Steven's back multiple times, Holly Blue tried to fling Steven into the zoo, Yellow Zircon is fighting against Steven, and Emerald will probably become what Aquamarine was to Steven

Emerald seems VERY large if she can block her body from the camera. It won't make much sense now, but rewatch towards the end to see what I mean. And she clearly has some sort of audience with her, from beading sweat, the sheer size of the ship, and her declarative one- liners. There is a lot of evidence that she is indeed special.

I’m really confused about Emerald’s design. Gems of the same type are usually the same height unless they’re defective. Quartzes like Rose Quartz, Jasper, the Prime Kindergarten Amethyst, and Holly Blue Agate are around the same height and are all Quartz. Ruby and Sapphire are the same height as they’re both Corundums.
What I’m getting at is, Emerald, Aquamarine, and Morganite are all Beryl gems and so... should Emerald and Aquamarine be the same height? Does Emerald just have really long limb enhancers?

I think that height is a power play, but not the BIG power play. Soldiers are beefy. Higher ranks like sapphires are small, and so are rubies due to them being essentially like the handguns while quartzes are cannons. The strategists like Aqua, Emerald, and likely Morganite, all don’t need to be big. And there’s no confirmed height on Emerald, so there’s a very good chance she’s got the Aqua size. Diamonds are huge due to the fear it strikes in others, but strategists don’t need to strike fear. Aqua took down Topaz with some light intimidation.

I think Lars somehow managed to seduce Emerald to get away from homeworld and now Emerald is on a love-hate warpath to hunt Lars down. If she is such a high ranking official I don't think she'd bother with hunting Lars herself and if it was her job to hunt down fugitives like Lars and his gang, how did Lars know that the ship they stole was something Emerald held dear? Admittedly, Lars could've figured out that detail seeing her reaction after they stole the ship.
This theory might explain why she's so clumsy with dealing with Lars. Here's hoping Emerald gets more screen time.

Just to talk about size relating to authority in gem kind, I agreed with most of it but then I realized that Holly Blue Agate was lower authority than Sapphire who is much smaller than her. You can see this in the way she treats her and how much she tries to impress her. Also Aquamarine is probably the smallest gem we have seen yet gave orders to Topaz the 2nd biggest (non Diamond) gem we have seen. But idk that's just how i interpret it.

Now that all armies are disbanded, and there isn't a caste system anymore, Emerald doesn't really have anything to drive her anymore.
I'd imagine if she crossed paths with Lars and his crew again, she'd see an opportunity to not only gain a sense of purpose again, but also get her ship back and make the off colors pay for stealing it.
The resulting chase can result in all kinds of conflicts and hijinks. They could get caught in a meteor shower or asteroid belt and crash land on an uncharted planet, leading to challenges, monsters, and character development and exploration, and ultimately the two teams might be forced to work together. It'd be really fun!

I think that for gems, bigger does not specifically mean better. Bigger may mean more powerful, though. Look at Sugilite, while Pearl fusions are relatively small but retain the Pearl's intellect. Similarly, Peridot is a highly intelligent gem, very highly trained in Kindergarten practises.
Leadership roles have not been shown to be particularly tall, but they have been shown to be small: for example Aquamarine. Powerful gems have been shown to be large, like Topaz, Quartzes, Garnet, etc. The Diamonds are an obvious exception, as they are both leaders and undoubtedly powerful as well.
Given that, and the fact that the Star Destroyer is her personal ship, so the Captain's Chair should be Emerald-sized, it leads to the impression that Emerald is of average size, though possibly somewhat taller than Jasper.
Maybe the point of Emerald is to point out the pointlessness of the Gem' s elitism. Make this naturally capable person have a myriad of personal issues is both within the SU mindset and real life with privileged nobility. Point, point, pointy McPoint.

My brother got a whole interview with Rebecca and he expressed my twist of the Steven Universe series. He told her about his character he made and she said she would think about adding that gem. My brother's birth month is May, and the character was based off of his month stone. I'm super happy that this character will be expressed more in the series!!!

I don't think Emerald will be huge just because she's high rank. Aqua Marine is allegedly high rank too, and she's the smallest gem body of every gem so far in the show! My money is on her being small to contrast with how large she looked on the projection. The crewniverse has a knack for messing with fans when it comes to gem body size. We thought that peridots were tall only to find out that they are slices of pie on high tech stilts, and that amethysts were small but actually are normally big strong soldiers. I wouldn't be surprised if the crewniverse introduced Emerald this way in order to surprise us later with how powerful she might actually be.

I think you're over judging Emerald's behavior compared to her status. Sapphire (who most likely ranks higher than an Emerald) was a high class gem too who held held herself with class and dignity in The Answer, she was also seen to have some liberties to act how she wanted, like when Ruby bumped into her she could've easily had her punished for it considering how panicked Ruby felt about the accident but Sapphire chose to dismis it without a care and no one forced her to arrest Ruby. I think that says a lot about homeworld's hierarchy. The higher you are in the chain the more free will you're probably given in you're personality and characteristics, and choices. The Diamonds themselves barely abide by their own rules by freely feeling emotions like love, affection, and sorrow. Emotions they opress their subjects from feeling towards one another.
Peridot on the other hand who is a low ranking gem was probably seen as more serious because the more you rank low on the hierarchy the more you'd want to be taken seriously by giving excelling job performance to be noticed by the Diamonds or other high ranking gems, (hence why she eagerly tried to impress Amethyst before) where as the higher ups act how they want knowing their positions are safe because of the value of their gemstones. And ever since Peridot became a free gem we saw more of what she's really like unhindered by Homeworld's social protocol and I think it says a lot that she acts similarily to Emerald, it could give us an indication of what Yellow Diamond's court is actually like (even Yellow Zircon acted a bit snarky), and how Yellow Diamond herself thinks and behaves, considering we've seen how some gems reflect off their designated Diamond's behavior.
Peridot also stated that quartz gems are loyal soldiers. Jasper hailed as the ultimate quartz automatically ranks her pretty high on the hiearchy despite already having a high position as a quartz. In the end she was still just made to be a loyal soldier. She probably had a position to stay close with Pink Diamond during the war that probably cemented her loyalty to homeworld and why she takes her job so seriously. Losing Pink Diamond and centuries of working under Yellow Diamond most likely roughed her up too.
Then there's Holly Blue Agate who does complete 180s when talking between Sapphire, the other Crystal Gems, The Diamonds and the Amethysts. Probably to keep up appearance but freely acts how she wants to those viewed beneath her. Leaving me to highly doubt Emerald would be having a meltdown over Lars's cockiness and stolen ship if she was working with a higher ranking gem or in the presense of a Diamond.
I think Emerald following Lars around over a crush would be hilarious twist, but that's just me.

Not really. Emerald is a commander, when Sapphire is a specialist. In gem society position is all what matter. Sapphire definitely have higher rank then most common gems but they didn't command large operations.
TheRezro Holly Blue Agate isn't much different, she's in command of quartz soldiers while she runs the human zoo, and she practically broke down when the crystal gems defeated her.
I think we should add also that gems clearly do rank separately from the origin, what determine only they initial value (practicality is still what matter most in gem society). Quartz aren't high rank as you claim. They are basically elit but still just soldiers, with exclusion of Jasper and Agate. First is second class quartz (still better then Ruby and Pearl though) who was so impressive that he was used as example of perfect quartz and promoted to low rank commander, and the later just a quartz what born or slightly better type but otherwise was just glorified janitor. We see the same with the sapphire and aquamarines (and most likely Emerald as she is same type). They were a specialist with impressive skills, what guaranty them at least low-level command. But otherwise they position was not clear. Some like CG Aquamarine was literally useless, as she has emotional issues, but HG Aquamarine was a acclaimed commando despite smaller size. I personally think that Emerald work for her position of Admiral, otherwise Emeralds are still just elite, but not a real aristocracy.
PS: Fun note. All defective gems on Earth were originally white. Prime kindergarten was created still by white as that is what mark CG Amethyst have. HG Amethyst are probably from same place, just resigned to Blue. On the other hand Jasper considered herself as Pink Diamond gem despite wearing Yellow mark and despite inferior tyle was OP, same with the Rose Quartz and presuming that Pearl was her Pearl instead white, also she is OP. That may discredit idea that Pink was flawed. She could be considered as such, but in fact much point out toward that she was simply inexperienced but her gem crafting was in fact superior then White. All off color gems on homeward could be from learning period. Her tendency to experiment could lead to misconception that she was incompetent. I think that if White was involved the real reason for her death was jealousy when Pink was revealed to be more competent then flawless one. Also take a note that Pink Diamonds basically are White Diamonds. Also considering that chair on Moon base was in her size it totally possible that White is also short. That would also explain why she avoid appearing in public.
Just in case if you didn't listen to what she said in the episode, but she said that HER ship was guarded by 67 ELITE Citrines. That to be honest is a big deal for a homeworld gem. Sapphire, also considered a high ranking gem (no offense) only had 3 Rubies guarding her. Emerald might be one of the highest ranking gems in the series which was also proven by Rebecca Sugar.

Sounds to me like Emeralds would fit the role of admirals in the gem hierarchy. It would certainly make sense, plus emeralds are the rarest gemstone on Earth, it would be fitting that they have a position to fit their rarity.

I know a lot of what happened to her on screen was for comedic effect, but I think honestly because of what you said in regards to Lars just not having any idea at all how "important" she is. Sure it's 'disrespectful' for the show to not give Emerald the respect she actually "deserves", but Stevonnie has no idea who she is, so that sets the mood for us viewers, because the average viewer may not have listened to that interview (... i didn't...... oops -shame shame-).
The off-colors and Lars got away with a lot of crap because Lars is human, and they weren't expecting that, BUT the off-colors ARE obviously visibly afraid, so I think that this is gonna set us up for Emerald doing something big and dangerous in the future. Kind of like what you said in an earlier video about this episode.
So I think that's a pretty great set up to showcase how dangerous she actually is when she comes back, and give us some real stakes soon.
That's my hope, at least.

I LOVED Emerald, mostly because she is voiced by one of my top two fave drag Queens, Jinkx Monsoon. Of course Emerald would be a clown and a joke, Jinkx plays that side of comedy a lot on stage herself. I feel Emerald was played to fit Jinkx's style perfectly.

I find in interesting, plus it's cool to see Lars and Sadie moving on from each other into seemingly better and more healthy lifestyles (albeit his is life risking in nature, at least he loves what he's doing and is good at it).
