He averaged 16.9 points, 8 rebounds and 7.3 assists without SGA for his career in 32 games.
He had a down year this year but still averaged 19 points, 7.4 rebounds and 6.7 assists in the 7 games without SGA this season.

The series against the mavs kinda massively shows his weaknesses, that he was effectively benched for the most of the series. No point of showing those stats when he can barely achieve them through the playoffs.
If anything Bulls lost this trade by a massive margin that it questions if Giddey will even be a starter next season.
Klay averaged 18ppg and being looked at as if he averaged 8.. Klay to Dallas would be a perfect fit

If you’re a contender in the West you need defensive bigs. Minny beat Denver because they had 3 bigs that defended well and 2 of which could score well.

This gives the Thunder vet experience, leadership, and 1st team all-defensive guard to pair with Willaims, and Dort. Thunder still need a big. If they can find a solid center they could make the WCF nxt season if they are healthy

I think OKC trades up in this draft for Clingan, to pair up with Chet in the front court. Gives them size to match up against Denver and fits with their young core.
Nah, Clingan is the exact opposite of what they need. Chet is and will continue to be a Center, so what they need is to pair him with a big wing or shooting big that can play PF. They should just take DaRon Holmes at #12 as a backup 4/5, and make a move with their $30m in capspace and 1st's for the new starting PF.
We want Clingan move Chet to 4 and that will open up the floor for him Chet is not a true 5 Clingan is 7'2 300+ he can grab rebonds and shoot the 3 when open..we don't need no forwards or anything under 7 foot we need a big with size 😌

Philly picking up KCP would definitely help them with their 3 & D issue. However, Embiid still has to be healthy at the end of the day. Maxxey will improve. Now if Philly got KCP & PG13... completely different Philly team. Philly does that then they are easily the 2nd best team in the east

Right look at what he did to Brooklyn and the suns they are terrible. And gsw didn’t need him to win all they need to win was him to leave the best team in the thunder. They were the only team who they feared and could beat and they knew it if kd left no matter where they could win chips but okc with him took a fix to get by.
I know he’s not expected to be their 1, but dude has slightly below average stats and is a middling role player. That doesn’t launch them to number 1.

Caruso is an awesome addition to any team, but, other than his experience, he wasn't what OKC really needed. If they end up being the best team in the West it's because their team of almost entirely rookies and sophomores continue to level up. Or if they add an all star caliber PF.
SGA , Dort , Jalen Williams , Caruso are all either 6 foot 4 or 6 foot 5 , they won’t have any starters between 6 foot 5 and 7 feet tall , this is unusual but could still work.
I just hope caruso fits into the team chemistry

Alex Caruso was cut by OKC back in 2016, and his return was an act of revenge to make his current team pay him more than what, zero?!
The moment JG had all the legal stuff come out, I knew he was not going to be on the Thunder. I thought it would be sooner than now, but it was coming. Obviously, the year and playoffs didn't help, but he could have had a great year, and he was going to be gone.
Giddey is not as bad as this year showed but. But it doesn’t make sense , Coby White just popped for the Bulls now you’re gonna take the ball out of his hands?? Great trade for the thunder, get some more skilled size in the front court and they have no holes.

Alex Caruso is not a superstar, nor a star. He is however, someone who is a force multiplier for your stars on your team. He makes their job easier to be themselves. He also helps break up plays, taking the other teams offense out of their rhythm. Poor mans Draymond Green?

If this was 3 years ago or at his peak I wouldn't argue with you but I have watched caruso and dort do things on ball for a whole game that holiday hasn't done in years.
Holiday off ball is better than dort and Caruso. Holiday is better at navigating screens than dort specifically but also slightly better than caruso.
But on ball defenders I think Caruso and dort are better at this moment.
White is probably the best off ball out of the four of them.
If you want to debate that holiday and white are still better overall defenders I hear you but not on the ball.
In terms of on ball defense white is probably last or 2nd to last.

Chet needs to get stronger cuz he gets easily bodied by bigger guys like Kristaps since he's only 207 lbs.
Hartenstein is a good rebounder/hustler, but he can't score like Horford.
Big Jaylin Williams has to become that Al Horford type cuz he's a good enough shooter but awful defender.
And ain't no way you actually think that SGA is better than Jayson Tatum. I may not like the Celtics, but that doesn't even make a lick of sense.
I think they're forgetting that they aren't in the eastern conference. Their team of perimeter defenders (now more so with the Caruso trade) may almost perfectly match into boston minus Porzingis, but they still need to make it out the West. Don't get me wrong, they are so much better built for a championship than the timberwolves who were only built to beat the Nuggets (and as a byproduct, the suns when healthy).
