Last year I had introduced him to this video while telling him about the songs I’ve been trying to learn by Tim. We’ve had some amazing times over the years and I’m sad that no new memories can be made however I’m really thankful he was my grandfather and really thankful for who he was. He was always extremely supportive of me playing guitar and he was inspired by his son who passed while I was young and by Les Paul/Mary Ford, unfortunately he never got the chance to learn to play, he did own a few guitars, a hollow body electric Ibanez (he was very exited about) and an electric Solid body Gretsch that he ended up gifting me many years ago now. Even though he never learned how to play he loved to sit with me and listen to me play wish I could have done that more now, I think it’s really cool that guitar has been a huge part of my life since I was 10 and a big part of that is thanks to him. Yes, hes very very talented not only in his technical skill but in also his wisdom in composition. Keep pounding at it and most importantly believe in yourself and approach practice with a positive attitude ❤ God bless
I Love your skills Tim, your guitar style, fashion style, so casual and intense. The intenseness shows itself once you play the guitar. Those great riffs, pure originality. Mr. Rudy Bigboote and someone trying too hard to sounds like him. Yeah right he is manuel gardner fernandez. I’m sorry manuel you’re not even there.
@@hinshbergh856 I hate him
He's truly unbelievable. As a guitarist of over 30 years, I've never heard anyone incorporate so much technique into his pieces, and pull it off with such fluidity and speed.
Love him or hate him? Who hates him?
"Here's the tab, good luck lol"
It took me 2 hours to get ok at the first 5 seconds lmao, I'm not even kidding
@@TudBoatTed same HAAHAHAHA
In the words of Tim “Good luck with that bullshit”

Both Tim and Ichika are inspiring a new generation of 4/4 melodic guitarists

Can we just get the album in this much needed time. Plez Tim.
he said "probably january" when i asked in a stream :(
@@cartervogt1663 ik ive been waiting so long
Especially like rn lol
@@cartervogt1663 January 2021?
Knightfall 01 thats actually early for a next album, isn’t it though
I didn’t even know electric guitars can make that sound lol
Effect pedals can do crazy shit
Even make Hatsune Miku's voice
That sound was created with passion and soul. Or a lot of drugs. Just like all great music
I didn't either, he has some sick skills.
They can do alot... especially when your creative, you don't even need an effect pedal.
Bruh the little staccato-3-note-walk up really does it for me
The harmonics somewhere at 0:15 - 0:17 is something to live for.
Yeah, their fun with harmonics put them on another level :)
This quite possibly could be the most addicting song I've ever heard, like for real, I've come back to listen to this at least 30 times by now.
bs
I legit show this to everyone and have come back multiple times. Super addicting
This guy is one of the best guitarists I've come across in my life. His playing technique is so unique and smooth
Gautham Shetty if you haven’t already, I’d highly recommend checking out his guest solo with Skyhaven (czcams.com/video/ifb0PcyWsvE/video.html) such a great example of his feel, speed and straight tone in the fingers
Ichika Nito
@@xeshda great example: Tim has an edge on gritty enough for the boys and sexy enough for the girls
Next-level guitar playing. So wonderful to see
I hope there will be a "full" version of this song on the next polyphia album.
Magnificent work.
I used to not like instrumental music because it was to theoretic for me, but you Tim have so much feel and expression, it is a joy to listen to your creations.
Thank you for brightening my days and putting a smile on my face. 😊
You better start from Andy Timmons
:(
I have always wanted to see Polyphia live, I finally got the chance to, and the Coronavirus fucked it all up!!! 😢😢😭😭😭
Eric Cartman saaaaaaaame
Could be worse, there are some bands still trying to run their shows, claiming "a virus can't stop rock and roll". Urgh, it's just irresponsible and shows no care for your fans
Yeah, brb, finna vaccinate myself with ROCK 🤘 AND 🤘 ROLL 🤘
Me tooooo
Sorry Cartman. Hopefully the people of this planet will prevail over the virus and Polyphia will spread their energy to recharge us when the dust settles :-)
@@ilBaccello Hell yeah man!!
I've never felt so much come from one instrument........ All the feels. 🙇♂️ Incredible man. 🙌🏻
This playing is so groovy and precise. Beautiful!!!
I used to play guitar every day, was a classical trained finger style player, went to college for a few years for it until I had two of my fingers cut off then reattached, was never able to play the same again but seeing you play so well with a pick really gives me hope I can be good again
chanceler151 If Django Reinhardt could do it u can
who tf did you piss off to get that
Just a stupid accident
@@chanceler151 I don't really know your total situation but... If your passion is still there, you might as well try it again, stay strong my friend, keep fighting for it! ^^
holy shit that escalated quickly
This sounds like riff of the year.
Been looking for this tune a while. Great job man!
I watch this whenever I get really stressed out thank you
I only have 2 humble requests.
1: Make a full song out of this.
2: Keep the part that stops with the owl sound at 0:25 at all costs!!!
How does he even make that sound tho???
@@OKAMI_D327 You can take almost any synth sound, turn up the attack a bit, put a low pass filter and reverb on it and you'll get a similar result. In this case I'm guessing it's a recorded guitar or vocal with the aforementioned effects. You can get the same slow attack effect by using the volume knob on your guitar to make it sound like a violin. :)
@@Nayah9 ohh ok. so that sound was pre-recorded? Cause it seems like he doesn't touch his guitar when the sound comes on
@@OKAMI_D327 It was.
Owl sound haha love it so accurate
I’m probably going to keep watching this 15 times a day every day until I die. The subtle dampened notes that sound like they come from another room shake me to my core and damn near turn me gay lmao
True
this is a super amazing song and his cadence is unique
IF YOURE A GUITARIST, READ THIS!! Dont be discouraged by how good tim is. Hes been playing guitar for a very long time and has a deep musical background. Yes, hes very very talented not only in his technical skill but in also his wisdom in composition. But, the fact that tim has achieved this level of playing is concrete proof that anyone can play as musically and fluidly as he does if they practice enough. Dont put down your guitar! Keep pounding at it and most importantly believe in yourself and approach practice with a positive attitude ❤ God bless
thank you so much for this absolute masterpeice of a compostion. you have trully inpired me and i hope others find this song too.
If aliens landed and said "Send forth your funkiest lad" I would send Tim Henson.
@Josef Jackson I would send Les Claypool...
Tim’s not a bad choice - but we all know Thundercat would understand their language plus bring the fuuuuuuuunk 😎
i say send victor wooten

BRO THAT HOODIE THOOOO
Bro as I was listening to the first couple seconds, I was like, “Some 808s would go hard with this.”
Then that beat dropped
that is exactly how this music needs to move forward. I'm an 808 bass head
Good job on 8 mill views, Tim!
I love your passion. I feel it when you strum.
I Love your skills Tim, your guitar style, fashion style, so casual and intense. The intenseness shows itself once you play the guitar. Those great riffs, pure originality. You’re different and that’s what I love most about your music and everything else.
You broke the barriers of Rock and Metal. Applied Hip Hop to them both. You’re a legend in your own right and I’m sure you know that already.
Keep giving the world the greatness and uniqueness that is Tim and Polyphia.
Yeah!!! Indeed, I love this lofi vibe of music... it's so aesthetic and creative as well as unique all combined!
This is so UNIQUE! GodDAMNNNN! Don't ever stop playing please!

Was that a muffled scream/moan from the spirit trapped in his guitar?
That’s called effect pedals
@@tylerlassi3073 no it’s a flutter, a technique where you press the whammy bar to make it hit the same note without re-picking it and it sounds cool af. That being said, there are effect pedal being used in that also

This gives me same feeling as when I heard G.O.A.T for the first time
This is so true

Seriously. So skilled, soulful, melodic and emotional. I hear shredding pretty often but it’s few times I hear something and everything stops like ‘wait, what the fuck was THAT?!’
i really need this to be a full polyphia song
The ending is the best part.
One of the most interesting guitar players I’ve ever heard. Fantastic stuff Tim
