I find your irrelevant hand gestures distracting. Your credibility was seriously undermined by guessing that the flies attacked the moth larvae. You should not present your guesswork. If you don't know at what stage of the moth lifecycle the flies caused an interruption, say so, or don't mention it at all. The fact that the flies have caused the moth to become functionally, and perhaps entirely, extinct already indicates an interruption of the moth lifecycle.
If my hand gestures are too distracting then don't watch, and my guess is supported by the knowledge that most other parasitoid species do attack the larvae of other species, and I could not find an answer online so I was presenting my own ✨hypothesis✨
