    This is the best explanation I've come across on CZcams. I like how you have a whiteboard explaining what your doing you make a good teacher thank you

    Great explanation sir...one small thing...im sure you know it but that would have been cylinder 3 but hey who cares, you did a good job. I just thought I'd throw it out there before everybody else starts in on ya

    How would you zero out a digital bore gauge after you get the minimum reading

      I have never used one, that's a good question. Most digital tools have a zero button.

    so do i need a rebore for os pistons in that tapered case?

    • @paulkelley86
      @paulkelley86  Před 4 lety

      If the taper exceeds specification, yes.
      You would need to bore (if possible on your specific engine) to the next available oversized piston size. Or possibly sleeve it back to stock size. Another option.

      @@paulkelley86 Thank you so much Paul. My spec said i can go .50 or 1.00 pistons. Great info!

    Its more taper at the top bc the piston doesnt go all the way to the bottom of the bore.. lol less or no wear at the bottom

      Yeah that's true. But I am more trying to show how to measure, so do you feel better now?
