Somebody knows if you need your phone to keep the lights in sync? Imagine I forget my phone at home and start riding, will the lights still sync when I switch them on/off/other mode?
Never been able to update the firmware on my lights. Ever. Neither Mac nor PC platform. And I have all three of them, stuck with different versions (12, 14 and 15).
This app refuses to run unless given location permissions. Why would an app of such nature require location permissions? There is absolutely no need to know the location, therefore this app is obviously acting as spyware and sending private information, such as location (and who knows what else) to CatEye servers.
I just turn the lights off and on when I need them. Also carry a back up light if it runs out. Whoever decided charging up was better than new batteries was either stupid or made some money from it. Like, you're rolling along at night and it runs out. wtf are you going to do?
Is the light already paired with the smartphone? Press and hold the switch on the light for 10 seconds. The LED will flash 10 times, and pairing will be canceled. Try pairing again. it is really easy. Try to reset the connection as per above instruction. it works.
@CatEye my app doesn't turn on my lights, unfortunately. Any idea why? Could it be due to recent iOS update?

My smatrphone doesn't pairing with the Cateye devices, alltough both devices switched on.

if they are on charge take them off that worked for me
