🎉POLL TIME! 🎉 Would YOU run the Mt Marathon Race?! 🫣
I usually prefer to walk. As I said one time: Whether you see me running, don't even think and try to run as fast as you can. It's the best hazard sign you will ever have.
I would do the Marathon, but it wouldnt be a race for me - I would walk in a slow pace, enjoying nature, enjoying the environment :)
Nope
No way!
Not on purpose 😬
Cora and Jose: Brilliant on steroids! Photography, commentary, history, Geology, detail! Wow. Keep up the amazing adventure and tell us all about it. Safe travels.
Awwww thank you SO MUCH!! Encouragement and feedback like this means the world!
A photographers dream, thanks for taking me along !!
Cheers,
Thank you for coming along with us!
That was a great capture of the Marathon mountain experience. Perfect. I could see what I missed from the safe seats 😀
It's quite a trail! Glad we did it once...and that was enough!
Yet another masterpiece. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Thank you very much!
That was so awesome. Thanks for doing all that work! The sun shining on you as it was so low cast your ridge’s shadow that you were on and it caused a glow in it’s reflection just where your shadows would have appeared far off in the distance. And the moon rise was a special treat.
Thank you so much 🙏 We didn't notice that about the glow in the distance. So cool!!!
What an amazing scenic hike!! Thank you for sharing it. Your video and commentary quality is so good!!
Aww, thank you Edward! Thank you so much for tuning in!!
Keep climbing!
Thanks Pops!
Dear Cora and Jose...thankyou so very much for allowing us to travel this amazing trail with you. With a sublime sound track and simply stunning video and narrative you have made the finest record of this crazy Race! I can hardly wait for your next video...much love to you both from this 75 year old singer/songwriter...I will forever be a fan.
Hey Bob! Oh yay! So glad you liked this one as well! We changed the pace a little - more talking to the camera. So glad you enjoyed it!
Looking forward to the video
Hope you like it! It’s a heckuva mountain! Kicked our butts 😂
I'm 67 so thanks for letting me hitch a ride on your shoulder and enjoying this amazing trail as well, and it seems the real danger is on the way down, what with all that momentum, one false step can certainly be catastrophic...Javi G.
Definitely! That is when some nasty falls can happen! So happy we were able to bring you up the mountain with us, Javi 😊
Awesome shots from the top! We cannot IMAGINE how people can run up but then DOWN that peak! 🤪
Right?!?!?! Crazy!
OMG W O W ! 🎉 Thank You for bringing us along, what a spectacular trail and the View's too die for . I was there in 16 looking up at this trail wondering what it would be like. I THANK YOU FOR YOUR ÀMAZING VIDEOS they are better than the best on Nat Geo or Discovery , so relaxing and Top Notch video quality and Editing skill. CHEERS AND SAFE TRAVELS Steve h .
Steve - thank you for such a kind compliment!!! So happy you enjoyed it! We completely understand what you mean by looking up at it and wondering. We really had no idea how intense it would be til we were up there! Crazy, right?!
Wow, this is steeper than I thought. I'll take the recreational trail. Thanks for the journey.
Crazy right?! We were warned, but didn't really get it til we were up there! If I ever do it again, it for sure will be via the Jeep/Bench/Skyline...just more enjoyable that way! You will love it!
I've been peaking around the channel's videos and the camera work is all stunning, and all the additional information adds a fun educational aspect. I would really love it if you guys did a Tracy Arm fjord Video, it's such an underrated and serene place and unfortunately, I couldn't get any footage when was there, maybe you guys could get some drone shots and tell some fun facts about the place in the style as all the other videos. I understand if it's not doable, but if y'all end up doing it you will genuinely love it!
This is such an awesome comment and compliment! Thank you!! We don't have plans to visit and film Tracy Arm, BUT we are about to travel to film Misty Fjords and LeConte Bay! Drone footage might not be on the menu, as most of where we will be traveling is National Park. But we will have our schnazzy camera with us, and we will be in full filmmaking mode, so we hope you enjoy the episode that comes from that expedition!
@@ArtWeThereYet That is awesome to hear, I went kayaking in Misty Fjords, and it's incredibly relaxing but adventurous at the same time.
Another brilliant film, my dear friends!! ❤️❤️❤️
Aw, thank you Shelby!
Loved this video - you guys do such a fantastic job combining the history of the area and at the same time immersing us in the race and the hike up the mountain. Great work with the cameras and narration as well. We are heading up there in the summer and will definitely be watching your content. Thanks and safe travels to you guys!
Thank you so much! And oh my goodness - enjoy your Alaska trip! You’re going to love it!!
Nope - that's a bit too much for me. Thanks again for your magnificent documentation of this beautiful place and history!
Thank you for coming along with us :)
Several years ago, I hiked Mount Marathon as an experienced Alaskan hiker. I somehow ended up accidentally off trail, got separated from my hiking partner, dropped/lost my bear spray, ended up bushwhacking for at least an hour through alders and stinging nettles… To this day, it is still my biggest hiking fail. BUT THAT VIEW FROM THE TOP. Worth it. The runners who participate in the race are next level athletes.
Holy moly! That sounds like a heck of a hiking day. Must have been scary to lose the bear spray!!
Seward local here. I've enjoyed your videos of the area. You two are very strong for packing a load up the Race Route. No easy task.
Wow, coming from a Seward local that is a HUGE compliment. Thank you!
Awesome!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
You had to start with Argentina and end up in Alaska, nothing tops Alaska! Thank you for the awesome video! Btw, you should have a lot more subscribers with that kind of quality content, you have some great videos, be patient and much of luck!
Hahaha, you may be right about that! It might’ve been a good idea to do the trip South to North! Thank you for the kind words about the channel. We’re crossing our fingers that this might be our year!
Just saw you guys at walmart in fairbanks, which brought us to your videos.
Oh awesome!!
Nice video in Alaska thank you mom
Thanks for watching, son 😊
Awesome video !! Thank you for this and your super informative narration.😮😯😲
Glad you enjoyed it, Spencer!
I’d like to hear about the dark walk back down….
It got quite dark at the end! At one point we thought we saw a bear, but it was just a big bush. That's the issue with going down so late...
I can see you both are in great shape. Any sore muscles the next day? Fantastic video as always, many thanks for posting!
Oh that’s a kind compliment! I (Cora) was definitively feeling it the next day! Especially in the knees and my hip (I’ve got hip that’s probably going to need replacing before I’m 60). BUT! I use this crème that’s kind of like tiger balm, and it does wonders!
