Testing the Insta360 X3 camera at lowlight. Regarding stabilisation I'd say 360 cams it's the best there is and the image quality in low light is surprisingly very usable with some heavy editing, but the biggest flaw of this camera didn't show until past 30 minutes of recording as apparently Insta360 have implemented a draconian limit in which cuts the video, waits 10 seconds and then restarts the recording automatically, just why.
Predictably the video stitching (although not in photo mode) of both 180º + fisheyes generates alignment problems in close up things, insta360 software already does a sophisticated "photoshopping" with its editing app but I'm sure now with the AI revolution this will only get better.
Also there's some really ugly and nasty gamut clipping in the blue primary with blue and UV lights with the Log image profile, Insta360 will be hearing from me soon.
And finally the advertised 5.7K doesn't count for video as although having the pixels it halves them in video mode, so perfect RAW photos but videos...
Only considering low light & night time scenarios I'd only recommend the camera to someone who understands the implications of all the flaws and knows how to handle highly compressed 360 video material, more than that it seems like Insta360 is digging its own whole regarding videography reach, I get that uninformed consumers won't really utilise its full potential anyway but imaging technology today it's not exactly living in a bubble, on the contrary.

For this video I recorded the camera settings: 5.7K (360 degrees) with the Log color profile, exposure value (E.V.) at 0, white balance (W.B.) at auto, and most importantly the sharpness at minimum so that it doesn't ruin your video. Then a lot of post-production technique with the Insta360 studio and Davinci Resolve.
