Burgman is currently the best scooter in India. If you wanted performance, better buy a bike because Ntorq is not comfortable which loses the point of a scooter. Ntorq is good for people whose parents dont allow them bike or they cant afford one.

To be Frank, Burgman is good in the maxi scooter segment but the front lights & drive dynamics are major drawbacks. I can't cross 50kmph in an unlit street or highway, it doesn't give confidence. You can feel disproportionate tyres due to riding height. Suspension & seat comfort is heavily reduced in EX. A front windshield that is just a show without utility and doesn't give any confidence in corners. Overall if you ask for driving dynamics, I would choose SXR 125/160 anyday. But Burgman is VFM no doubt.

@@MyDeathend sxr or sr 125/160 is a piling steam of hot garbage. I am riding the older version of sr 160 for more than 2 yrs and it has given me nothing but trouble, first a fuel pump malfunction (replaced by Aprilia for free a it was under warranty), random battery discharge, accelerator cable got stuck like 3 times so the throttle is always open (even if I donot open it manually) and lastly horrible mileage. I understand why my Dominar gives around 24-26 as it is a high compression motorcycle with 373cc of displacement, but can't understand why a puny 160cc air cooled cvt scooter returns around the same average as my motorcycle. It's far better to get a Yahama Aerox for the same price as a sxr 160, reliable scooter (hopefully as it is an yahama) and stupendous mileage. Cheers!

@@Slayah30 I own SXR 125 from 2021. Done 16000km Never given me any trouble except battery issues( cost me 30 rupees to fix) if kept idle for 1 month. But never faced any major issues and didn't cost anything extra except service. I maintain my vehicle properly. Coming to aerox 155, it was my first choice, I took a test ride but my wife straightaway no as pillion comfort is nonsense. For me, pillion comfort was primary as I rejected Ntorq XP because of this. You get back pain even if you sit for 30 mins + I felt it less practical for grocery runs and mall runs, I can hook up anything in front + Yamaha has poor lights. Even my TVS Jupiter has a better light throw than Aerox.
Coming to mileage, I get 41 42 kmpl in 125 cc but 160 cc version has mileage issues for sure. That's why, I rejected a 160 cc engine.
When you are investing almost 1.5 lacs in a scooter, you should be very clear on what you need.
My need was: smooth rides with both rider and pillion comfort ( i remade the seat, stock one was bone stiff)
Better stability and control over bad roads & potholes
Mileage is 35 -40 for daily office rides.
So, SXR 125. Aerox is too expensive and if you go for anything beyond 125 cc in India, better get a bike. PERIOD

Major advantage of Burgman over Ntorq is the boot space in Burg can carry a full face helmet whereas Ntorq won't, water bottle holder which adds a plus point while touring, mileage does matters otherwise Yamaha Aerox is a next level to choose and maneuvering in city rides as well as on highways is more comfortable on Burg then Ntorq.

@@cbegamingorg there are a few touring scooters in the market like BMW 650 cc scooter which is a great tourer scooty priced at 13L on road in India. Coming to Burgman, Aerox or Aprilia SXR, they are just maxi styled scooters, not tourers by any means. Ntorq and Aerox are least comfortable in the segment. Burgman has good comfort but pretty awkward handling, impractical windshield & stretch footboard isn't comfortable due to my taller height. Aprilia SXR is just a little behind on comfort but everything else is way premium, even the price.

I do tour on Ntorq and i have a bs4 version. Seat is in my opinion is the comfiest. i do on a fairly regular basis 350 kms in one trip and tried upto 800km in one trip as well. above 70kmph vibration smooths out a lot. 50 is where vibrations are felt at the footboard. but then i have 42000 kms in last 4 years with 2 tyre changes and riding on 3rd.

Nobody talks about the Burgman's handling, it's a major point. I think everybody intentionally ignores it while reviewing. The Burgman's handlebar is just like a bike's handle bar unlike other scooters. It makes a big difference. If you ride one, you will notice. It handles just like a bike. And the longer wheelbase helps in stability, which no one talks about.

This review is proper BS, royal BS. Only an insane person will rate Activa as a great scooter or VFM scooter. Real VFM scooters are Access 125 & Burgman whose higher price is justified. Try touring on all scooters and then you'll understand that 'sporty' and 'performance' on NTorq is of no value. Suzuki has nailed it in ergonomics. Its engine is no slouch and beats NTorq in a longer drag race (though i dont attach value to performance). Seating & Riding ergonomics are top notch in Access & Burgman. They both Excel in mileage too. Overtaking on highways is very easy.
