My mouth is watering right now lol That set is beautiful !! What a great set to have too. I love seeing the cards. Thank you so much for sharing with us !!
Super Video Eric. Congrats on finishing the Star Wars set. I remember those cards as well. It took forever to finish the set. They look fantastic in the binder. Good luck with the Wonder Bread set. I am also working on that set and it is expensive for those cards for sure. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I enjoyed it a lot.
Very cool. I did the opposite of you and bought only a few packs of the regular Topps but got the complete Wonder Bread set. I would go to the store with my Mom and move the bread bag around until I could see a card that I needed and my Mom would buy that bag. LOL
i just finished my wonder bread cards today. all needed was just the tusken raider card to finish it off. i just found my set after looking for it for almost a year. i was happy as i didn`t want to start this set all over again.
Nice video, Eric. You’re not kidding about packs for everything back then. It was a great way to market to kids. I remember buying Jaws II and Moonraker cards. Cool you saved the cards from your childhood and added them into the set. You’re right that Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) is still alive. Have a great weekend.
@@the_card_closet I agree about usually buying sports cards. It seemed like in the late 70s a lot of movies tried copying Star Wars. I remember the Black Hole too. I don’t know if they made cards but I had the action figures.
Good stuff! Like you when I build a set I use all my original cards from my childhood regardless of there condition. Then I fill in the missing cards with purchases from eBay.
I right behind you on the complete Star Wars set. I’m at ~90% complete. I really like how you kept the set in your childhood condition. I do the same. It’s odd to see perfectly centered cards. All my cards back in the day were off center and dinged corners. Great video.
Your 77 Star Wars sets reminds me of my 1988 Topps baseball set. I treated those cards like crap, but those cards are staying in the set and i dont replace them
Do you have The Golden Rod C3P0 card!!!!??? I the card in there but was not sure if that was an updated card or not. I watch comic book men and that card is one of the pricier cards out there. Always love star wars stuff and thanks for sharing with us Eric!!
Wow, so cool. I love the cards showing the behind the scenes shots of the spaceship models.
Me too. The primitive techniques they used are so interesting. Have a great weekend!
Congrats on that set, probably a flood of memories within those pages. Appreciate you taking us on a portion of that journey TCC 💯❤️
Thanks 👸!
Thanks for sharing your collection with us! I enjoyed looking at the cards. Your video makes me want to collect them too.
Star wars cards are just plain fun.

Thanks for the kind words Lisa z!

Thanks Angry!
Very cool, I was born in 77 so I didn't buy these, but I do know about them.
Congratulations on completing the set.
Really cool to see them all. 😎 👍
Hey thanks scrap metal!! I appreciate you watching!

Good memories. I did the same thing. There was a bread store in town.

Congrats! That set is very nostalgic for me.

I remember jaws cards, but not moonraker. Thankfully I usually picked some sort of sportscard pack.

Thanks for watching canton!! I bet we're not the only 2 either.

Good luck finishing it! I've got doubles in fair to poor condition if you want them.

Thanks for watching tb! Others have said similar, so I guess we weren't that weird.
Wow 🤩, this set has done gone crazy in price . . I hope to get one myself. I have the super man sets / series
I remember superman cards, but never got any. You should show it some time.
Awesome Star Wars cards! I too have a bunch of those cards from when I was a kid and they are pretty beat up! Congrats on completing the set!
Thanks Jim! Did you buy empire strikes back cards? I didn't for some reason.
I do have a few but not too many
that's good to stick with the cards that you got as a kid? 1977 very cool , nice cards.
Thanks Mark! Do you have any star wars cards?
@@the_card_closet No I don't.
Really fun video. That's awesome that you have a bunch of the original cards you collected as a kid. The 77 has that famous C3PO error, correct?
It does. But I don't have it. Never knew about it at the time.

Sorry but I don't
