Finally someone that lives almost exactly as I do. I was half forced & half by choice into my situation. I also don't have the time or $ to build. I would like to try, but I work 60 hr weeks. Something I chose to start doing months ago because of my situation. I've been van living for 8 months now. It's the most lonely, liberating, scary & exhilarating thing to experience.
Wow! You've made the most of the space you have. I feel sort of spoiled with what I have and where I live. 😳 I bow down to you for being such a positive, resilient, awesome person.

A suggestion for you that may or may not be feasible, is to get a laptop tray that is similar to a bed tray or a bed tray that has folding legs. That way you could work on your laptop in a more comfortable position. But that's if you have the space to spare.
That's an idea, will need to look into that ❤️
This wouldn’t work for your current setup, but what I did is I got a tray table on Amazon that hooks to the back of my driver’s seat. When I want to work on my laptop, I put my driver’s seat all the way forward and sit in my backseat. It really makes the car feel like an actual room then because the front windows are farther away and I’ll usually park somewhere real pretty and point the front towards a lake, mountain or field that I can look at while I work.
I wonder how much space you could free up if you got a rooftop carrier like a Thule to stash the less important stuff up top.
I saw those on amazon, was on my wish list, but once I took out the seat... I knew it wouldn't work... Roof rack, yes... #futuregoal
I don't use garbage bags for garbage... too expensive. I use the plastic bags that my groceries and other items are bagged in at the store.
I use to that as well, until they banned them here 😢
I use my toilet every night and throw it away in the morning. I add kitty litter the pellets and it works like a charm. 😂
My suggestion for your laptop issue, is put the laptop on Grey rug heside bed and have a stool or small platform built over your dry good bin. So basically you will be sitting backwards where your passenger "seat" is.

A solar generator is also awesome because when the weather’s a bit more temperate in the Spring and Fall, you can just plop yourself down on a picnic bench and work on your laptop outside 🌲☀️

Omg I have that same idea re the small container in the toilet!! I sometimes have to stop and pee in a container if I drive long distances. I recently bought a foldable toilet for camping, so I thought about using both together for pee only, and stool #2 in the trash bag with cat litter. 😊

I can't wait to get another vehicle I'm looking to get a suv cause I have seen some nice setups might have already looked up suv setup living on CZcams but if u haven't do it I seen this one guys setup omg it was awesome I'm new to your channel I moved into my 2007 Saturn ion a few months ago till I save enough for a suv to turn into my tiny home or a van but I'm shooting more towards a Suv I vlog on my channel also & talk about different things hope u get everything just the way u want it
