Turns out that the classic John Wayne knot is just a square knot.
I love seeing your content.
I have always loved neckerchiefs like those worn by my heroes John Wayne and Roy Rogers. The Duke was a model for all neckerchief lovers.
Great stuff!
Square knot. That’s how the Navy ties their neckerchiefs on their uniforms.
In the RN we call that a reef knot.
was gonna say the same thing, thats a Navy knot
Nice video. Just watched the trailers on your website, awesome stuff. Hope to see it take off and do well, you know we just can't get enough good westerns!
I grew up watching John Wayne Robert Duvall and several Mexican actors that were professional charros in black and white films. Western movies are awsome. One of my favorite shootouts is at the end of "open range" have a good day
I'm trying to make a neckerchief for a male cowboy sculpture i'm building. I think this will help out greatly thank you for sharing.
That sounds great! Send me a photo when you get the sculpture finished. EH

I like your style you just got yourself a subscriber. Sending you greetings from Sonora Mexico and back to Dewey Arizona my personal wagon trails.
Greetings. Glad to have ya!
It is a reef knot. Learned it in Girl Guides. Left over right then right over left.
Square knot, only reversed! RIGHT over LEFT, LEFT over RIGHT. They are both the same knot!
I don't know if this knot is difficult or I'm dumb but I can't do it lmao
its a square knot
What size was? 22" or 36" or 44" ????
32 inch square. Silk Cotton blend
I have 3 of your Bandannas. Question I have is where did you get the blue bib shirt with the white buttons? I can find it with black but not white.
Hey Ron. Glad you like the bandanas! I had the blue shirt custom made by a Hollywood wardrobe man who once worked for the costumer of John Wayne. If you can find a bib shirt with the correct style bib, you could easily change the buttons. A good tailor or seamstress could also probably make you a shirt if you gave them good screen photos. Good Luck! EH
Hello, there is a company doing Duke style shirts that look pretty great. Check out Wyoming Classics and tell 'em "Eric Heisner at Lean Dog Productions" sent ya! wyomingclassics.com/product-category/movie-tv-reproduction-clothing/
It's just a simple square knot reversed! Left over right, right over left!
How many inches are on each side? Just curious how big these are when fully opened
32 inches by 32 inches
@@leandogproductions2014 Thank you!
Well let’s go pilgrim we’re burning 🔥 daylight! I’ll see ya on the trail!
You bet pard!
Where coukd I get one of these?
The General Store at www.leandogproductions.com
Do yourself a favor. In addition to selling on your site, sell via Amazon. A little more bit and overhead, but it will raise your sales. Unlike Walmart, Amazon while also competition, can also be a very valuable tool instead.
Thanks. Only make 'em in small batches as a side hobby.
that looks like a square knot to me!
A reef know then .. OK .. thanks
He's tying a slip knot, not a square knot.
Or you could just tie it in a simple four-in-hand knot so it is adjustable. That's better. Copying John Wayne--- I don't think so.
